Lenny was at his best when it was just him and his nylon string, and improvising through the thoughts in his incredible mind. Like he said he always kept a Renoir in his guitar case cause he thought of music in terms of colors and textures...and u can hear it.
Ah man ! It's fantastic. Too bad it cuts off early. When guys on this level of playing finally come up with original compositions, they're almost always better than any jazz standards they have way too much reverence for. Jarrett's best stuff is also his originals. Someone like Metheny is nowhere near the level of playing that Breau is but he has confidence as a composer & as a result even on his very first album "Bright Size Life" he came up with some brilliant originals.

I agree, geosochi. I've never heard this, and I'm a HUGE Lenny fan, and this is definitely his magnum opus, by a very wide margin.
