The most beautiful book I ever read on actual death and what it is is here: new-birth. net/booklet/Life_in_the_World_Unseen. pdf of course, I put spaces in with the periods; just take them out.
..... thank you kindly for mentioning this booklet, I had never heard of it before. Just checked it out and it looks very interesting and comforting! It was written by Anthony Borgia. Peace be with you.
Dr. Michael Newton has a very wonderful and informative book about the spirit world and afterlife called Journey of Souls.
These case studies however were all taken from subjects under regression hypnosis therapy and describing what they see, he's done hundreds of different case studies and almost all of them describe something extremely similar in the afterlife.
These accounts of Near Death Experiences also exactly correlate with what people in his case studies said, look it up yourself
funny thing is there are people all around the world telling the same story all these people are telling.
I thought i died once, all i saw was a light, felt peace and woke back up within five minutes to my friend who was trying to wake me up and get me off the ground.
There's definitely something to what these people are saying.
Scientific proof that soul exists! A weight loss recorded after the death of people, almost instantly after one's death (which explains when soul leaving body) And also, throughout surgery when one is 'brain-dead-', their soul have heard doctor's conversations; take in mind, they have no function of the brain itself, and in one case, a woman's ears where blocked ontop of that, yet she heard the convo of doctors and lived to tell it!! Her 'soul' heard it! AMEN!
@JenMichel100 ::: What do you mean: 'too late'. Everyone that has ever died is in the afterlife. You can still learn and change your condition after you die.
@JenMichel100 ::: Super. But how will you know the results of that test? You need to find out before that. Try downloading free, "Life in the World Unseen"
@TheQuindecillion ::: You may be right, at least partly. There is justice in the afterlife. If you have mistreated people in your lifetime, you will pay a penalty. No fire, just dark, miserable conditions.
People's big ego does not allow them to see the truth and admit that there's life after this life.when people pass on,their souls leave their bodies and start a spiritual journey that will take them to a particular place depending on what direction their life went while they were alive.people need to quit this big ego and be more humble,unpretending and unassuming rather than being stuck-up,arrogant,haughty,snooty,stuffy,uppity and all these words linked to pride.
@nostalgiamelancolia1 good point, but how exactly do u know theres lifte after life? are u going with a gut feeling or something? i believe shit when i see shit. i certainly hope theres life after life. but no one really knows. i dont think pride or being arrogant has much to do with it. thats like me telling u the world is coming to an end and your going straight to hell after your last breath. your not going to believe that
@lubui2583 You don't believe we have a soul? as a matter of fact,your soul is the real "you" not your physical body.we the humans live within our physical body until that body is destroyed by death.once we die,the soul leaves the body and goes to either heaven or hell.
Perhaps God has forgiven every one of us. Maybe, maybe not. Who knows. But until I die, I WILL hold on to the teachings and belief in Yahushua as I promised him I would. This is one promise I do not want to break :)
This is interesting to me because the traditional Judeo/Christian mythology does not allow the soul to transcend the body upon death. There are no ghosts in their tales. The sorting out of sinners and saints happens upon the re-creation of the New Jerusalem, where Yahweh will personally rule. That's why orthodox Jews aren't embalmed: They expect to be literally resurrected for the New Jerusalem. Ghosts and the like are pagan influences. Interesting how it evolves, isn't it?
one thing i will say is I was sold when i saw a video of a woman who had an nde and she came back and said something about specific details about the guy in the next bed died while she was having an nde. she was blind also btw.
this nde stuff is the most sensible if you ask me. however i will agree with somone on here who said we are like fish. no one who is alive knows because they havent died. what i would like to think is that god/entity/light thing/budda/allah/whatever is all the same when you die and whatever it is loves all of us no matter what hence the countless tales of a feeling of unconditional love. who knows I COULD BE WRONG. thats the thing we dont know
@kamdawg00 Many of the NDErs have clinically died and had a glimpse of the afterlife. And you're correct in saying that the light loves everyone unconditionally and equally. Some NDErs have said that the light is only capable of love.
@cosmicman01 2 Thessalonians 1:8, "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ."
@kamdawg00 ::: We know a lot more about it than you think we do, and it is from a non-religious viewpoint. Free download "Life in the World Unseen", will tell you what it is about.
@kamdawg00 you're certainly not wrong to long for Unconditional Love! but haven't you noticed the conflict here on earth, the tough guys' planet, where satan roams around to destroy? the Spirit described in Romans 8:15 causing you to cry "abba!" (daddy!") to your Creator & Love One Another is at war with the one that causes you to cry "baal" or "allah" & declare war on them! look up the NDE experience of the burmese monk (just search those 2 words) who saw guatama the buddha, in hell!
@kamdawg00 you cannot change your outcome, people have experienced hell due to the fact their heart stopped and their spirit left their body, people were revived and have a second chance
God is the ultimate and sovereign judge for sin. sin/hell is not decided by public opinion or deceived/false clergy.
Changing societies do not dictate God's standards. Sin is defined by God for us in the Bible. It is the source for what God says is holy and righteous or sin and abomination.
The materialist model is going the way of the dinosaur. NDEs with OBEs that correlate with the physical world is crushing to the materialist model. For that matter, terminal lucidity and severe hydrocephalus (lorber's work) is crushing to the materialist model too.
There is no way a person can spend a life-time rejecting God and are going to be with him in eternity. I believe some of these experiences could be counterfeits from the demonic. The Christian bible says "Satan transforms himself into an Angel of Light!
@NotFlaking How do you know how god loves ? And if satan is responsible for NDEs then why do NDErs become more loving, accepting of others and less materialistic after their experiences ? Seems like this satan isn't achieving his supposedly evil goals.
@cosmicman01 hi can you friend me ? I want to be friends... I'm a lifeguard manager and a software enigneer at a company that works for nasa and the navy
@cosmicman01 cientific proof that soul exists! AMEN!
@NotFlaking I heard too many Christians just simply dismiss the NDE experience, the point is, God is beyond your mere mental religious beliefs and construct from the finite earthly church view of how and what God is. If everything is from Satan, and he is also light, then what is that of the God's, more lights, more love? We should be humbled about our ego and the our religious dogmatic beliefs if we are to find out the truth via the experience rather than just reading words of some holy texts..
@NotFlaking So your telling me that God would allow satan to fool his beloved creation at this most vulnerable moment of stepping into death. Dont you think this would be the perfect moment for Jesus to come and say who he is and to repent. What kind of a loving God would allow this?! If you study NDEs you will see that in every case the person is transformed by what they see. I think you want nonbelievers to burn in hell just to validate your beliefs.
@NotFlaking and you transform in to the amazing flying jackass. grow the F up and get your nose out of the book of contradictions, and pay attention to life. by the way, arent you a little old to believe in fairy tales?
I love it when people discuss things to which they will never have a answer. We are all like fish in the sea. The fish doesnt know that there is something else than water. And we dont even understand what goes on in the universe. So what is the point in discussing a NDE here for which there can not be any proof? It is a waste of time. Also religion is only for the people who like to serve. You are here, and that is what matters, everything else is speculating about something and thats nonsense.
@Dukilein1984 There's a lot of evidence so there's a lot to discuss about. Research into the NDE is an ongoing process, and is what will possibly move the phenomena closer to truth and further from speculation. It's an important topic in my opinion, not at all a waste of time to discuss it.
@cosmicman01 Well, evidence in NDE is only that there is no evidence or what evidence do you mean? I is a interesting topic, but also if you experence that, what tells you that it really was, what it was. Near death experience is a word made up by ourselves. And i think it is in fact wrong to describe it as that. There is no proof that God exists, and there is also no proof about NDE's. Religion has nothing to do with the real world, it is the peoples that exist. Think about that.
@Dukilein1984 Every word is made up, so what's your point ? And I didn't say anything about religion, so I don't know why you have to bring that up. No evidence ? Accurate perception in the out-of-body state that's corroborated by witnesses, blind people seeing, lucid and vivid experience when it's physically impossible, knowledge gained and later verified to be true, shared NDEs among a group of people, very young children not exposed to religion having NDEs like adults.
@DeDona1 I wanted to see something about it, i saw something and thats it. Sometimes i look something up for skydiving and the next video is the letterman show :) many interests. And Youtube makes it very easy :) Greets
I have used Robert Monroe's method for out of body experiences.
Think about this, I could see myself on the sofa with my headphones on using the hemi-sync tapes. Fiction? How could I look DOWN on my OWN body, at first I was so terrifed that I tried to swim back into my body.
But during that short experience, there was no time, I just can't explain it in words.
But I urge EVERY to visit the Robert Monroe website and view posts about experiences. Give it a try!
And I Believe there's life after death...There's a Creations and a Creator 100% there is.The best example is the existence of human can't be measured by science. The existence of the earth it was hang and nothing holds it. in space.its unmeasurable.How come the 9 nine planets has its own direction and don't clash its other..God power and glory is unmeasurable.Praise God Glory to him...

Pinning this on religion or impossible mysticism is unnecessary. It's twice as ignorant to stubbornly cling to old paradigms (as it is to assume it is a chemical process.) Once something becomes part of our reality, it's no longer metaphysical, and we should research it scientifically to understand it better. Science describes our reality, it doesn't *make* it reality. Everyone here should read Science and the Near Death Experience, by Chris Carter. (previously a reply to a specific person.)
@magnifier2020 The NDE is a human experience, not a religious one. For your information, atheists and agnostics have had NDEs too. Most NDErs become less religious and more spiritual afterward. Many even abandon their previous religion altogether. The religious authorities don't even acknowledge the NDE. What is unscientific is discarding this phenomenon because it doesn't fit with the materialistic view.
Question, im a spiritual guy myzelf, and I believe in this and reincarnation. But, manny documentarie's about NDE's have words like, the 'holy' light / Hand of god/ Angels in it, so I wonder if these documentarie's arent actually based on the Christian believe, once again Im just asking. Does it have connections with the Christian believe?
@FreeWeedForAll Yes some documentaries on NDEs obviously have a religious agenda and they also focus on the words "hell" and "heaven". Personally I prefer using the words "spiritual reality" and "being of light" sounds more cool than angel :). The NDE doesn't pertain to one religion or another. It's a spiritual experience that any human being can have. The iands states that there's no correlation between a person's religious beliefs or lack thereof and the likelihood and content of an NDE.
@magnifier2020 Your generic and superficial objection is unscientific because it's based on your prejudices. You're just as dogmatic and narrow-minded as the religious fundamentalists.
@cosmicman01 i am watching this program because i know nothing of this topic. i am not religious in any way i find it interesting. Your attempts to come accross as smart and your attempts to insult the other person for having an opinion are frankly pathetic. I have not watched the documentary yet but if you are so against this why not watch something else instaed of bitching on a message board
@RyanMellor1 I criticized his opinion because it's a generic one liner typical of pseudo-skeptics who usually have a little knowledge on this subject and who pretend to have a scientific mindset when in fact they have a materialistic mindset. I explained why the NDE is not inherently religious and that his anti-religious attitude is misplaced concerning the NDE. And I'm not against the NDE like you said, I uploaded this video you genius.
@cosmicman01 i agree extreme firm religious people are similar to extreme firm religious atheists....i don't associate myself with any particular one but i like and am interested in what happen ...i do believe somewhat that you come back as someone ...the universe is just too big and i don't think it just ends and thats it...heaven and hell seems too comical and illogical to me but everyone is entitled to their own opinion
@cosmicman01 and science can prove everything can it? just a question, so dont attack me.. i just think there may be somethings we simply do not understand, or our science cannot "prove" because it simply doesn't exist within the human understanding, and therefore methods we use to quantify things. I am truly interested in a genuine dialogue with you, not swapping insults.. i look fwd to hearing from you ;)
@boazandjiacinth No I don't think that current science can explain everything. I don't know why you get that impression. None of the "scientific" explanations of the NDE is adequate. A popular assumption that many scientists have is that the mind is a product of the brain. If the brain is severely impaired or dead then should the mind as well. It's clear that the data of NDEs doesn't fit within that theory. And I agree with you that there are things that are beyond our current understanding.
@magnifier2020 What is unscientific is to dismiss something out of hand without examining all the evidence. I am anti-religion. I see no conflict in accepting NDEs as real experiences...conscious out of body experiences of a different reality/dimension/astral plane. So called scientific theories that explain away NDEs as a function of the dying brain do not explain all of the claims of NDEers. Religious experiences of NDEers are a creation or interpretation based on their own beliefs.
This whole dream dmt argument, how can you explain people being able to recall true conversations after flatlining even having doctors as witnesses of them recalling the events during their surgery. Are the doctors liars too? Are all these people dirty liars out to get you? You can continue to deny this but your only denying yourself in a way.
When you die, your body goes into some kind of one in a lifetime state.
Even in your last few heartbeats all kind of natural drugs are rushing through the brain. Now these drugs have the potential to change the dying person's perception of time, this combined with the shitloads of endorphins and all that shit the body is producing. A "long" trip to the light / heaven seem perfectly natural. But still, its ALL inside the persons own mind. This has NOTHING to do with god. peace
I don't want to insult you :) But i don't believe in God.
Humans invented religion. Maybe Christians believe the bible is the word of the lord but there are many other Religions out there with a completely different foundation. Christianity is only one of many believes out there and i don't think its a good thing to commit to one of them. They all contain useful moral codes and they all contain a lot of bullshit. I know every story from the bible, and i like a lot of them. Greetings
@timen1986 think about it .. do u have anything to lose if u blve?? all the feeling , emotions , all the stuff going in the earth... if you think this are all coinsidence and just appeared or how these scientist explain them , u have to think deeper than that.. its not about religion... people are mistunderstanding in all directions, in everyday life people dnt get along .. but if you hav faith ul be saved... that day will come soon , and ul be asking urslef how foolish it was that i ddnt blved.
that day will never come, and i will never be talked / scared into believing.
I believe in things like balance, harmony, love, peace, friendship, desire, friends, family... I get my motivation in life from things that are here, on earth. I realize that on other planets, things might go in a very different way then ours. You should read about other religions to before you commit to one of them. Learn all there is to learn. Never think you know it all, because you don't. I don't.
@timen1986 What are these natural drugs that you talk about, and how do they produce all the features of the NDE ? Can you be more specific and less vague ? And how are these natural drugs relevant when the brain is dead (flat EEG) ? Do you have medical proof that the brain produces a "shitload" of endorphins when a person is close to death ?
@timen1986 Your theory is a common one, but also one which is just as unlikely as that of it being a purely mystical experience. Once something becomes part of our reality, it's no longer metaphysical. Once it is part of our reality, we should research it scientifically to understand it better. I would like to suggest a book to you. You're a critical thinker and that's fantastic, so I think this book would give you more stuff to chew on. Science and the Near Death Experience, by Chris Carter. :)
When I was dead, I had a "near life experience"..there was this black hole I was drawn into, everything was dark, I saw people i knew and one of them was George W. Bush....it was awful....
People STRUGGLE HELTER-SKELTER TO GET A LIFE INSURANCE ON EARTH but they forget to get THE TRUE LIFE INSURANCE - > The Ultimate Life Insurance after death. They laugh at anyone who beelieves in God. Sigh!
@CrazyWeedSmoker1 NO you don't have to be a Christian, I believe, you will be fine, just don't kill, rape or do anything bad to people, stay good and well in your heart. Don't worry about smoking weed my friend, God just wants you to be a Good Man. :)
@CrazyWeedSmoker1 Just have Love, love is all you need my friend. I Pray to God once every so often and just talk to him about my life just before I go to sleep in the dark, it gives me a sense of happiness. Everything will be fine, trust me, I am 22 years going on 23 in a few months and I fear nothing, I don't even fear death, I don't care if I died in a car accident tomorrow, Heaven awaits us all.
I know a guy who was into LaVeyan Satanism who had an NDE or something like that. And the grim reaper came up to him and said "If you have love, you have everything".
when you die you get a dial tone, it just like before you were born, you know nothing about it, and those who you live behind will be thinking about their own death, and they will look at your coffin, and they will say you are in heaven or hell (maybe). So, don't worry about it. Death is what awaits us all. This is given and this is the most beautiful part of life....
These nde's are not just near death...scientifically they are clinically dead as in absolutely dead with no possibility of conciousness or any visions whatsoever.
I'm an atheist however I think the light at the end of the tunnel is caused by dying brain cells and organs, etc. Essentially your "life force" is being extracted from your body and the energy that created you has to be drained from your body and restored to the universe which gives the illusion of the light at the end of the tunnel. you are essentially seeing the light from the big bang and everything at once and abruptly after all this happens, you officially die.
@SuperNolimetangere yes dmt is relevant but it cannot explain how people experience floating out their body and witnessing events down the corridor or across the world or visiting a place and being able to recall a conversation between two people (as robert monroe did frequently). he was able to lie down and train his mind so that he would float out of his body and visit anybody he wished to that moment.
@MySceneKidd I'm not sure but i think you're talking about tunnel vision or the "tunnel of light" that's caused by hypoxia. I find this explanation implausible because it doesn't account for all the aspects of the light/NDE: the NDEers experience moving through the tunnel, not just seeing it; some see the light without seeing a tunnel; the feeling of love emanating from the light; the light is seen as a living being; telepathic communication going on with the light;
not all people who suffered from hypoxia/anoxia had a NDE. Not to mention that oxygen deprivation in the brain causes mental confusion and a muddled memory, whereas many NDEers report having heightened senses and awareness during their experience.
@MySceneKidd I saw the light april of 2010.... I didnt see a tunnel and it was def not a medical thing cause I could turn my head and not see it... Not sure if I died in my sleep or what happened but it changed my life. It started by being aware that I was in a empty void... just as I was about to get scared I saw a light over my right shoulder, as i turned, it felt like I was in a thinkness, like under water, then I just stared at the light. I then felt I was being pulled to it and felt love.

Now lets us all just calm the fuck down for a second, why the hell are you worrying so much about it, you are ruining the time that you still have to live, have fun, live this so called "life" to the fullest. Damnn, We'll all cross that bridge once we get there now stfu and go have fun.
@over9000deadkoreans they way you are talking im sure this wont be the same thing you will say when you experience it.. ur trying too hard to be cool .. think about the words your saying ...think carefully... when u get old i think that the time ul realize...
The understanding of Near Death Experiences in terms of hard and fast scientific measurement is not currently likely. It is not possible to measure the paranormal with strictly scientific methodology with which we measure the three dimensional world. This study is still only in its infancy, we may never move beyond this level in a clinical way.
@LieutenantSparkles Because reason has enabled us to survive, it has enabled us to question. The answer to your question is that just because life is finite does not render it meaningless.
@4illegalalien Why do people like you think that if you have an idea about something then it is true? Nothing you just said made any sense whatsoever and is based upon nothing other than an idea.
I don't go around saying things like "Once you die you come back as a fish if you spent a lot of your previous life swimming or a bird if you were a pilot in your previous life" because beyond it's superficial poetic feel it's absolutely retarded and is based upon nothing other than an idea.
But everything is energy! what you are sitting on is not a solid object but is atoms and science has now proven this so i believe that we are all energy that will be set free someday........oh and i not religious.
@theshow2k8 If you are defining yourself as the atoms that make you up then yes, those atoms will disperse into the universe over time but those atoms will not be you so it's not like it matters.
i believe all of this, but have you guys heard of DMT? its a chemical that's in our brain that gets released once we are about to die , and it is one of the strongest Hallucinogen. but im just putting that out here... i still believe all of this
@jacklental the DMT theory has been disproven so has the oxygen theory. There have been cases of people with no brain activity who have had this experience. When a person is dying, blood flow is cut off to the brain immediately and brain waves stop within seconds so DMT is irrelevant.
They can have the experience before they go have no brain activity at all.
You know, like when you dream? You experience complete stories, you sometimes life for weeks, even years. When in real time, it only lasted for a few seconds. The human brain is in my opinion "trained" to create imaginary worlds. This happens every night, more then 1 time. Now imagine what the brain will do just before you die :) i imagine its dreaming to the max! Greetings from the Netherlands
@timen1986@timen1986 I disagree as many people have been able to verify events whilst out of their body when they were brain dead. had no brain waves. and what about the woman who was blind from birth yet she had a car accident and was able to view things from above. she was looking down onto the wreckage and her body and saw everything vivdly.
like i wrote before, the entire experience could happens in nano-seconds before they have no brain waves. And about that woman who was blind from birth, had a car accident and was able to "view" things from above.. extreme case of synesthesia
@timen1986 no i disagree once more. you didn't listen to what I wrote. there have been cases of people who were looking down from the ceiling at their body and were able to verify things happening below whilst they were deep in coma or dead. Also - it makes no sense that they see things from the ceiling. If anything - there should be no experience at all due to the brain shutting down. These experiences are due to a higher consciousness leaving the brain. There is a science behind it.
@timen1986 I am afraid you are using the typical skeptic argument i.e experience could be occurring before they die or as they come round. THAT STILL DOES NOT EXPLAIN how people are able to witness things happening from above, looking down at their body and been able to verify it after. Makes no sense at all. Now think about it and then come back and comment.
no mate, i'm afraid you don't understand what i'm saying. So i've had enough of this. You probably think you have me backed up against the wall. But in fact, its far from that :) It was nice sharing thoughts, but we are on complete different pages. Greetings
insulting some more now are we? i feel bad for ever engaging this conversation with you.
Why do you insult me, did i insult you? I thought we where just sharing ideas and views to this subject. I don't think that's how you look at this, since you feel the need to insult me several times
"The human mind is extremely susceptible to delusion and hallucination - FACT. People find immense comfort believing in the supernatural - it adds... "
@timen1986 i have always kept an open mind. after reading books about quantum physics and actually speaking to people who had the experience, i have sort of changed my mind. i never knew so many neuroscientists supported the dualist theory. i have been reading much literature on this subject. a book called DMT the spirit molecule and consciousness beyond life by pim van lommel. it has REALLY got me thinking..
Science admit today that everything is consciousness. All the energy and matter ( energy condensed ) is emanated from this infinite field of consciousness. Dr. Charlse Tart proved that consciousness survive after body dies. A woman who had several out of bod"s experience could prove that consciousness live outside the brain. She could receive information far away from her body when she had Out of body experiences.
@vincent4500 This is science not religion. The science, real science already proved what I just said. Is u right to believe whatever u want, but this not means that u are right.

Interesting how it evolves, isn't it?

this nde stuff is the most sensible if you ask me. however i will agree with somone on here who said we are like fish. no one who is alive knows because they havent died. what i would like to think is that god/entity/light thing/budda/allah/whatever is all the same when you die and whatever it is loves all of us no matter what hence the countless tales of a feeling of unconditional love. who knows I COULD BE WRONG. thats the thing we dont know
kamdawg00 6 months ago 6
@kamdawg00 Many of the NDErs have clinically died and had a glimpse of the afterlife. And you're correct in saying that the light loves everyone unconditionally and equally. Some NDErs have said that the light is only capable of love.

@cosmicman01 cientific proof that soul exists!

Dukilein1984 7 months ago
@Dukilein1984 There's a lot of evidence so there's a lot to discuss about. Research into the NDE is an ongoing process, and is what will possibly move the phenomena closer to truth and further from speculation. It's an important topic in my opinion, not at all a waste of time to discuss it.
cosmicman01 7 months ago
@cosmicman01 Well, evidence in NDE is only that there is no evidence or what evidence do you mean? I is a interesting topic, but also if you experence that, what tells you that it really was, what it was. Near death experience is a word made up by ourselves. And i think it is in fact wrong to describe it as that. There is no proof that God exists, and there is also no proof about NDE's. Religion has nothing to do with the real world, it is the peoples that exist. Think about that.
Dukilein1984 7 months ago
@Dukilein1984 Every word is made up, so what's your point ? And I didn't say anything about religion, so I don't know why you have to bring that up. No evidence ? Accurate perception in the out-of-body state that's corroborated by witnesses, blind people seeing, lucid and vivid experience when it's physically impossible, knowledge gained and later verified to be true, shared NDEs among a group of people, very young children not exposed to religion having NDEs like adults.

(previously a reply to a specific person.)

magnifier2020 8 months ago
@magnifier2020 The NDE is a human experience, not a religious one. For your information, atheists and agnostics have had NDEs too. Most NDErs become less religious and more spiritual afterward. Many even abandon their previous religion altogether. The religious authorities don't even acknowledge the NDE. What is unscientific is discarding this phenomenon because it doesn't fit with the materialistic view.
cosmicman01 8 months ago
@cosmicman01
FreeWeedForAll 8 months ago
@FreeWeedForAll Yes some documentaries on NDEs obviously have a religious agenda and they also focus on the words "hell" and "heaven". Personally I prefer using the words "spiritual reality" and "being of light" sounds more cool than angel :). The NDE doesn't pertain to one religion or another. It's a spiritual experience that any human being can have. The iands states that there's no correlation between a person's religious beliefs or lack thereof and the likelihood and content of an NDE.

@cosmicman01 and science can prove everything can it? just a question, so dont attack me.. i just think there may be somethings we simply do not understand, or our science cannot "prove" because it simply doesn't exist within the human understanding, and therefore methods we use to quantify things. I am truly interested in a genuine dialogue with you, not swapping insults.. i look fwd to hearing from you ;)
boazandjiacinth 7 months ago
@boazandjiacinth No I don't think that current science can explain everything. I don't know why you get that impression. None of the "scientific" explanations of the NDE is adequate. A popular assumption that many scientists have is that the mind is a product of the brain. If the brain is severely impaired or dead then should the mind as well. It's clear that the data of NDEs doesn't fit within that theory. And I agree with you that there are things that are beyond our current understanding.

@boazandjiacinth No problem. We're on the same page. :)
cosmicman01 7 months ago
@magnifier2020 What is unscientific is to dismiss something out of hand without examining all the evidence. I am anti-religion. I see no conflict in accepting NDEs as real experiences...conscious out of body experiences of a different reality/dimension/astral plane. So called scientific theories that explain away NDEs as a function of the dying brain do not explain all of the claims of NDEers. Religious experiences of NDEers are a creation or interpretation based on their own beliefs.
cunnidvd 8 months ago
This whole dream dmt argument, how can you explain people being able to recall true conversations after flatlining even having doctors as witnesses of them recalling the events during their surgery. labochet1 9 months ago
my theory on this?
When you die, your body goes into some kind of one in a lifetime state.
Even in your last few heartbeats all kind of natural drugs are rushing through the brain. Now these drugs have the potential to change the dying person's perception of time, this combined with the shitloads of endorphins and all that shit the body is producing. A "long" trip to the light / heaven seem perfectly natural. But still, its ALL inside the persons own mind. This has NOTHING to do with god. peace

MySceneKidd 1 year ago
@MySceneKidd I'm not sure but i think you're talking about tunnel vision or the "tunnel of light" that's caused by hypoxia. I find this explanation implausible because it doesn't account for all the aspects of the light/NDE: the NDEers experience moving through the tunnel, not just seeing it; some see the light without seeing a tunnel; the feeling of love emanating from the light; the light is seen as a living being; telepathic communication going on with the light;
cosmicman01 1 year ago
@MySceneKidd continued:
not all people who suffered from hypoxia/anoxia had a NDE. Not to mention that oxygen deprivation in the brain causes mental confusion and a muddled memory, whereas many NDEers report having heightened senses and awareness during their experience.

The understanding of Near Death Experiences in terms of hard and fast scientific measurement is not currently likely. It is not possible to measure the paranormal with strictly scientific methodology with which we measure the three dimensional world. This study is still only in its infancy, we may never move beyond this level in a clinical way.

I don't go around saying things like "Once you die you come back as a fish if you spent a lot of your previous life swimming or a bird if you were a pilot in your previous life" because beyond it's superficial poetic feel it's absolutely retarded and is based upon nothing other than an idea.

@TehOwnerer999
But everything is energy! what you are sitting on is not a solid object but is atoms and science has now proven this so i believe that we are all energy that will be set free someday........oh and i not religious.
theshow2k8 1 year ago
@theshow2k8 If you are defining yourself as the atoms that make you up then yes, those atoms will disperse into the universe over time but those atoms will not be you so it's not like it matters.

i need to get it together jesus for give me take me where ever you are.

i believe all of this, but have you guys heard of DMT? its a chemical that's in our brain that gets released once we are about to die , and it is one of the strongest Hallucinogen. but im just putting that out here... i still believe all of this
jacklental 1 year ago
@jacklental the DMT theory has been disproven so has the oxygen theory. There have been cases of people with no brain activity who have had this experience. When a person is dying, blood flow is cut off to the brain immediately and brain waves stop within seconds so DMT is irrelevant.

@dmustard11

@timen1986 @timen1986 I disagree as many people have been able to verify events whilst out of their body when they were brain dead. had no brain waves. and what about the woman who was blind from birth yet she had a car accident and was able to view things from above. she was looking down onto the wreckage and her body and saw everything vivdly.
dmustard11 10 months ago
@dmustard11
like i wrote before, the entire experience could happens in nano-seconds before they have no brain waves. And about that woman who was blind from birth, had a car accident and was able to "view" things from above.. extreme case of synesthesia
timen1986 10 months ago
@timen1986 no i disagree once more. you didn't listen to what I wrote. there have been cases of people who were looking down from the ceiling at their body and were able to verify things happening below whilst they were deep in coma or dead. Also - it makes no sense that they see things from the ceiling. If anything - there should be no experience at all due to the brain shutting down. These experiences are due to a higher consciousness leaving the brain. There is a science behind it.
dmustard11 10 months ago
@timen1986 I am afraid you are using the typical skeptic argument i.e experience could be occurring before they die or as they come round. THAT STILL DOES NOT EXPLAIN how people are able to witness things happening from above, looking down at their body and been able to verify it after. Makes no sense at all. Now think about it and then come back and comment.

@dmustard11
no mate, i'm afraid you don't understand what i'm saying. So i've had enough of this. You probably think you have me backed up against the wall. But in fact, its far from that :) It was nice sharing thoughts, but we are on complete different pages. Greetings
timen1986 10 months ago
@timen1986 I never said anything about having you backed up against the wall.
I will end by saying many eminent neuroscientists support my theory. i rest my case.
i also think until you have experienced this yourself, you should not comment.
now go and use your weak arguments some where else.

@dmustard11
insulting some more now are we? i feel bad for ever engaging this conversation with you.
Why do you insult me, did i insult you? I thought we where just sharing ideas and views to this subject. I don't think that's how you look at this, since you feel the need to insult me several times
timen1986 10 months ago
@dmustard11
You wrote this;
"The human mind is extremely susceptible to delusion and hallucination - FACT. People find immense comfort believing in the supernatural - it adds... "
and now you are saying the opposite?
timen1986 10 months ago
@timen1986 i have always kept an open mind. after reading books about quantum physics and actually speaking to people who had the experience, i have sort of changed my mind. i never knew so many neuroscientists supported the dualist theory. i have been reading much literature on this subject. a book called DMT the spirit molecule and consciousness beyond life by pim van lommel. it has REALLY got me thinking..
dmustard11 10 months ago
@dmustard11
Pim van Lommel? Sounds like a Dutch writer, Je gaat me nou niet vertellen dat we dit gesprek in het Nederlands hadden kunnen voeren ? :D

@scarry07 shut up with that New Age meaningless drivel...more sickening than other religion is the New Age Religion ..

@vincent4500 This is science not religion. The science, real science already proved what I just said. Is u right to believe whatever u want, but this not means that u are right.
