@cloudvol7 It isn't bad. The stop-motion effects were done by a young Jim Danforth, an Academy Award nominated effects artist. Let's see you do a full length stop-motion movie with limited resources before you criticize.
i liked it a lot as a kid in mid 80's on Betamax video tapes yesterday i showed it to a hyperactive kid who would not watch a 20 min cartoon and he was mesmerized in his place.i really wished that the actor has done more great movies
I remember first seeing this at the movies in like 1975? It was scary when I was 7yrs old! lmao
It still brings back lots of good memories as a kid. The SINBAD movies of the 1970's seem better now, but it's still a cool movie memory for me 35yrs later.
Unlike 7th voyage of sinbad, this movie was more horror than adventure, everything from monsters to witch-brides to tone and colour of the film, it reeked with terror, totally not recommended for children... a great film but definitely not for children. I've had my share of nightmares and darkness fears, I know of it!
At 0:38, something about the look of the stop animation makes that giant look more terrifying to me than any CGI I saw in the new LOTR films. Thumbs up if you agree.
i have this movie on tape, i found it yesterday....but it doesnt work on either of my vcrs anymore!

you can tell the stop motion is not as good as harryhausen's stop motion and the monster in this one reminds me of the cyclop from sinbad

@A550RGY I always thought stop-motion had a huge potential for being scary because the unnatural way the creatures move seems so... Lovecraftian.
