I saw this on t.v. as a 10 year old girl growing up in New Mexico. I have been searching all over for the movie as it was imprinted on my brain and I always wondered what it was called and whether I dreamed of it. I didn't really remember the whole story, only the vision of the indian boy climbing up a mountain and something about an eagle. Now I get to see the context of that long-ago memory. Thanks!
Thanks for this video. I saw it as an 11-year old boy in the Netherlands back in 1971. For decades it has been imprinted into my memory, though I had forgotten the name of the movie.
The Eagle would be the power-animal of my choise since then.
Searching the web I refound the name through IMDb some year ago.
Disney Company: bring it out on dvd :-)
cheers, Ton
PS: Iemand in NL die de video wil uitlenen of branden?
I am fully blooded Hopi and one of my grandfathers told me about this movie. He remembered watching it when he was a little boy and i wanted to find it for him. Im happy to say I found it :)
I watched this movie as a child, like many here had. All these years later I have never forgotten it when we have the opportunity to fly side by side with bald eagles and osprey in our hang gliders. I can tell you that the wonder and magic of that film lasts forever, and is realized on special occasions like yesterday when an immature Bald Eagle came to fly within a few feet of me for several minutes. We look at them, and they look at us, and we share the air together. Search"Flying With Eagles"
@tontar Thats amazing!!! I see eagles practically everyday flying over the lake when I get up in the morning...Sometimes a few monster eagles with their catch...slows them down LOL...looks like they have a 3 year old...other times the younger ones never give up as they try the catch & snatch over the lake...
que buena historia, podría decir que trata del mundo duro que te golpéa y obligado tienes que levantarte como guerrero y ser libre, asi nada te puede dañar y puedes volar por encima de lo terrenal

@cherisse83 I remember watching this movie as a film strip in grade school and loved it. Is it based on a real Hopi legend?
