@Northeastbassin On this day we were fishing north of Harrisburg, and at the Juniata River confluence. You can watch the full episode on our website. This is from our 2010 season.
@buffguy88 Let the tube fall to the bottom, then walk it along the rocks and bottom structure. On some of our other clips, you'll see Blaine slowly popping his rod, to make the tube "hop" on the bottom. The speed of the tube's movement can be determined by the water temperature, and by the fish.
@austinnale I used to get real frustrated with tubes, when I got them stuck and would have to break them off.
You may just not be using them in the right application. Rocky terrain and deep drop offs are the perfect locations for tubes. Be prepared to loose a bunch at first as they get stuck in the rocks, though!
fished the susquehanna yesterday. A cold day on the river but w caught 45 smallies on BPS tubes green pumpkin. largest fish was 19" with alot of 14-17" fish. Super river to fish.
That's cool man. I live directly on the Juniata River about sixty miles from where you are. I catch tons of beautiful smallies on tubes. Both the Juniata and the Susquehanna have some fantastic Smallmouth fishing.
tubes are an all around great plastic for many species. musky, pike, bass, walleye, and even redfish, snook and seatrout. you can't go wrong with a tube.
TUbes are a great 4-season lure. Conditions dictate, but I'll always have tubes ready. Clear water--Smoke/red or purple, Watermelon, Green pumpkin are my first 3 choices for clear water. Keep watching!
the mouth would be small because it is a smallmouth. dahhh. jk nice video great catch. i caught a smallmouth on a strike king bleeding tube. 9-10 inches.
nice stuff, i fish the susquehanna for smallies in the spring. missed out this year tho =(

Ty and does a jig imitate a crayfish?
carpro100 2 years ago
yeah a jig does, i think a tube is just to piss the bass off
specializedp1rider76 2 years ago
Hey is tubing for smallmouth bass the best technique for smallies.? And if it is what colour tube should i use in clear water.
