  • @HATINTHEKAT Shimano Crucials

  • @BWAEnterprises oh wow, ive heard alot about those, how much are they?

  • @HATINTHEKAT You can find them at Cabela's for between 139 - 159.99.

  • What part of the river are you fishing? I fish fort hunter alot in the winter.

  • @Northeastbassin On this day we were fishing north of Harrisburg, and at the Juniata River confluence. You can watch the full episode on our website. This is from our 2010 season.

  • what else works there? i'm making my way there this summer :{P

  • @mec554

Check out our full show for more tips on the Susquehanna, it's on our website. backwoodsanglertvDOTcom

Most of the lures we profile on our one-minute tips also work on the Susquehanna.

Let us know how your trip goes! Please think of us if you need a guided trip.

i never used these before but i mite have to try them

  • thank you once again blaine your the man!

  • does that cut really make a difference

it seems so small to matter

  • can you catch bigger fish with them you think?

  • i always use live bait.. guess this proves you dont need to

  • great catch

  • well yeah it makes sense to have a smaller piece

  • hmm never knew you should make them that small

  • worked for ya! haha great job

  • hey how were you working the tube. Like a plastic worm or like a jerkbait or what?

  • @buffguy88 Let the tube fall to the bottom, then walk it along the rocks and bottom structure. On some of our other clips, you'll see Blaine slowly popping his rod, to make the tube "hop" on the bottom. The speed of the tube's movement can be determined by the water temperature, and by the fish.

Thanks for the comment, keep 'em coming!

  • tubes suck for me i hate them never even got a bite with them dont bye them

  • @austinnale I used to get real frustrated with tubes, when I got them stuck and would have to break them off.

You may just not be using them in the right application. Rocky terrain and deep drop offs are the perfect locations for tubes. Be prepared to loose a bunch at first as they get stuck in the rocks, though!

Keep up the good work on those videos!

  • fished the susquehanna yesterday. A cold day on the river but w caught 45 smallies on BPS tubes green pumpkin. largest fish was 19" with alot of 14-17" fish. Super river to fish.

  • That's cool man. I live directly on the Juniata River about sixty miles from where you are. I catch tons of beautiful smallies on tubes. Both the Juniata and the Susquehanna have some fantastic Smallmouth fishing.

  • tubes are an all around great plastic for many species. musky, pike, bass, walleye, and even redfish, snook and seatrout. you can't go wrong with a tube.

  • this in maryland?

  • This was filmed in central PA, at the confluence of the Juniata river and the Susquehanna. Thanks for your interest, and keep coming back!

  • Ty and does a jig imitate a crayfish?

  • yeah a jig does, i think a tube is just to piss the bass off

  • Hey is tubing for smallmouth bass the best technique for smallies.? And if it is what colour tube should i use in clear water.

  • TUbes are a great 4-season lure. Conditions dictate, but I'll always have tubes ready. Clear water--Smoke/red or purple, Watermelon, Green pumpkin are my first 3 choices for clear water. Keep watching!

  • the mouth would be small because it is a smallmouth. dahhh. jk nice video great catch. i caught a smallmouth on a strike king bleeding tube. 9-10 inches.
