I don't have the issue on my iP4 EXCEPT in one location in my house. I've tested calls from that same spot and I still have reception and NO dropped calls. I ALSO already knew that the 3G had issues with reception and how I held it. Right it's not JUST the new one. Good video!
no way i just tried it with my 3gs and it DOES do the same thing, except these past 2 weeks my reception has just TANKED like noother it comes and goes as it pleases but yea if u grip it like so, it does loes signal all the way to searching, i cant believe they didnt realize this before they sold them how dumb of them
Yea, Apple is possibly claiming firmware, but I am not buying it. I don't see how this issue didn't exist prior to iOS4. In fact I am typing this on my new iPhone 4. I am going to downgrade that thing and see what happens I'm the same scenario.

My dad just tested this on his 3GS without the update and the signal goes completely change hands, it will drop 1 maybe 2 bars.
This is probably why when he calls me the sound is choppy.

Weird, it does the same thing on my 3GS drops from full strength to zero! But it hasnt been a problem for a year so it probably wont be either

@xQuale I don't see how that is possible. Are you sure you are gripping it around the metal frame??
oojacoboo 1 year ago
@oojacoboo Yes, did exactly as you explained & showed, but no problems occurred.
