  • 1205 got it....

  • Everybody with this problem and a jailbroken iphone, you have to downgrade

  • ROB MY VIDEO WHY DONT YOU!!!!!

  • I don't have the issue on my iP4 EXCEPT in one location in my house. I've tested calls from that same spot and I still have reception and NO dropped calls. I ALSO already knew that the 3G had issues with reception and how I held it. Right it's not JUST the new one. Good video!

  • I just tested this with my 3g (not 3gs) its on 3.1.2 and does the same thing lol... this was a problem all along that we didnt notice :D

  • My dad just tested this on his 3GS without the update and the signal goes completely change hands, it will drop 1 maybe 2 bars.

This is probably why when he calls me the sound is choppy.

  • Weird, it does the same thing on my 3GS drops from full strength to zero! But it hasnt been a problem for a year so it probably wont be either

  • still, in the netherlands signal is quite good. Some areas are bad, but t-mobile really cranked up the network now..

  • Well,I have the 3GS,and I can hold my phone the usual way and it still gets full bars.

  • no way i just tried it with my 3gs and it DOES do the same thing, except these past 2 weeks my reception has just TANKED like noother it comes and goes as it pleases but yea if u grip it like so, it does loes signal all the way to searching, i cant believe they didnt realize this before they sold them how dumb of them

  • Yea, Apple is possibly claiming firmware, but I am not buying it. I don't see how this issue didn't exist prior to iOS4. In fact I am typing this on my new iPhone 4. I am going to downgrade that thing and see what happens I'm the same scenario.

  • And I havnt upgraded, so when I do this I lose a maximum of one bar, no more

  • It has to be an ios4 issue but what I don't get is how does a software get effected by physical action?

  • no problem with my 3gs with ios 4 doesnt do this in Fl USA

  • its an ios 4 issue. A simple software update should fix it.

  • I don't have this problem at all.

    T-Mobile in The Netherlands

    ..Also iPhone 3Gs iOS4

  • @xQuale I don't see how that is possible. Are you sure you are gripping it around the metal frame??

  • @oojacoboo Yes, did exactly as you explained & showed, but no problems occurred.

  • Yea, like I said... Unsure. Anyone who hasn't upgraded??

  • yeah, but before iOS 4?
