This is quite the video you all put together, thanks. I heard about a heavy snowfall hitting the twin cities this morning on all news radio and thought i'd check out youtube. Apparently while surfing and making comments i came across this older video and checked it out. Yes 8"&14" more is alot of snow, they've had 7" so far in Minneapolis. Anyway here in Vancouver Cda, we're known to have 200-250 grey sky days a year and half of them are on the wet side but snow free anyway...like today.
Big Lake, Huh? I was thinking maybe Zimmerman with the name Zimmerscope. I'm from Elk River. I can remember A horrible storm in Winter of 2004- and I drove through it all the way to Brooklyn Park because I missed my boyfriend. Only a few other people were on the road and they were in trucks while I was in a 99 Lumina. I also remember Trick Or Treating in that huge Halloween Blizzard in the '90's. I was in 2nd or 3rd grade...gotta love MN!!!!
I still remember shoveling the snow that time in 8th grade. Every shovel lift felt like lifting a sandbag up to your height. By the time I was done, My arms, legs, and back were all hard and sore.
I was so angry, I demanded my parents give me my birthday present 3 months early. They did buy me a nintendo DS lite.
I absolutely love this video. It's one of my favorites and it just shows how great Minnesota is. Could that snow have been more beautiful? thanks for posting it.
Thanks for the great vid! Im a South African living in Dublin and have only experienced snow twice. It snowed a couple weeks ago over two days but we only got a few inches. I love snow so much, you just cant help but walk around with a silly grin on your face all day! Would love to go to MN to experience that!
Minnesota is the best state ever cause when you get sick of it being hot it turns cold and when you get sick of it being cold...it gets hot its so cool.
I think the 1975 Blizzard and the Halloween Blizzard are the worst winter storms in modern history. I don't remember the 75 blizzard, as I was only 4 but Duluth saw winds to 85mph with gusts over 75 in central Minnesota, 28 inches at Collegeville. The Halloween Blizzard I remember well as I was in college at The U. Forcasted 2-4 inches and we got 28.5 at the AP. Temps ran 40+ degrees below normal and peaked out at -6.
this year in april we got that much snow up here in minnesota and i had to shovel it all by myself off my whole driveway and sidewalk... i still love minnesota though
I am going to be in Minnesota for the next 4 months visiting. I'm in Albert Lea, Mn -- Do you think we'll get the same snow you all had? Where do you guys live. Your baby is so adorable, same with the kitty. ;D
Yeah, that's what everyone is telling me. I've been here since the first snow fall fell and I thought it'd be more. I hope more snow falls in Febuary and March. :D
"Nope. He's stuck. We'll get him in the spring."
hahahahahhaha! :D

There was a ton of snow earlier in the season, but there's not so much right now. Usually more dumps on us in February, so you might get to see some.
Thanks for the compliment on our cat and our son -- he's not such a baby anymore!

Hey, glad you liked it! Thanks for the message. Yes, we did get the driveway shoveled out. It was the biggest accomplishment for the day.

A great little film. It brought back memories from when we used to live in Minnesota. I assume you did get the driveway shoveled out.
