  • these are the right lyrics...

i dont think people who criticise speak the same german as me.

the only thing i was wondering...

i interporated "werde sie besiegen" as 'will it overcome'?

im not sure but i thought he was reffering to her/his love for them.

  • had german today and yes revising over weather and my teacher showed us this me and my good friend casey were dancing LOL also his hair is awesome!!

  • Don't talk to your viewers like trash when your lyrics aren't anything like the real ones. The prove my point, auf means up. Unlike some people i actually study german. :)

  • @Hadyy13 I really don't give a crap about "my viewers." I just put the video up so people could see what the direct translation was. I never thought so many clueless morons would show up criticizing the obvious.

You do not speak FLUENT German. If you did, you'd realize that while this IS a direct translation, it is also put into context, making at least understandable phrases. If Monsoon never came out, I wouldn't be dealing with all you people. Goddamnit.

  • they are the wrong subs

  • these are not the right english lyrics sorry

    and stop being cocky

and i speake fulent german these arent the right lyrics

    dick

  • @pallydingdong1524 Then what are the right ones? Seriously.

  • these are wrong lyrics u call urself a fan!!!!!!!!

  • @kovu22 Oh my. Well, if you're such a big fan, please, tell me the right lyrics.

  • there not the real lyrics

  • @pallydingdong1524 "there" not, huh? I really can't expect someone who can hardly speak ENGLISH to understand German.

  • This will always be a great song, most people on this planet wouldn't be able to tell if this was German or English? Your splitting hairs!

  • Wooow, sad. People are picking up on it... just because when this song is translated it doesn't match the English version... o_e

That's the point in the English version people... they changed the words so it was more suitable for our language... lool

Anyways I love this song in German and English - you done a good job - ignore haters =D

  • @xCOOKiiEJARx You're quite sensible. Thankyou. :)

  • @TwoBrokenWyngs Haha, you're welcome. :D

  • well some of the english translation doesn't make any sense. Example "I think I can't believe it any stronger" you mean longer, right?

  • @COSHMEDIA Of course it doesn't make sense. It only makes sense in German. That's why they changed the words for the English version.

  • @twobrokenwyngs well you should have translated it to equivelent terms in English that made sense rather than doing a literal translation. still good though :)

  • @COSHMEDIA What the hell? That's what Monsoon is. The English version. It takes the general meaning of the original lyrics and translates them into sensible English terms. That's the point of MY video -- to show what the exact literal translation is, for anyone that is curious.

  • no wonder im doing so well in german at schule lol

  • I am english, but i am half german. This is wronggggggg! xxxx

  • @PaulsBeesInTrees Oh yeah? Please, share the correct translation, genius.

  • How many emos does it take to change a light bulb????????

None because they all sit in the dark crying

  • @nickjason shut da *%$! up

  • @thatgirlintheshadows

the reason they probably didnt use this version for the english song is because in english the words dont rhyme

  • I speak german, Its the correct translationn, Promisee :D

  • good german revision haha x this is such a feel good song!!

  • is he 15 in this?

  • it is correct. my german teacher used to say 'alles clear?'

(i dont know the german word for clear but it sounded like the english) and i thought. it doesnt say alls in the lyrics. but he does clearly say alles.

and gut. ive always known that means gut. but it doesnt say that in the lyrics either, just in the song.

what i dont get is why they didnt use this version for the english song. hmmm?

  • @thatgirlintheshadows * ive always known that gut means good. :P

  • @dreamcaster555 Yeh it is correct , i think people are looking at the english version and assuming the words are the same ,incredibly stupuidly

  • ich hasse tokio hotel :((((((((

  • why ?!

  • love it ! its great :D i wish his voice would've stayed the same its so innocent ^^ o well they are still the best band evaaah ! thanx 4 tha post

  • ich Leibe Durch Den monsun.. :)

  • this is not the right translation I know german its wrong.

  • @gojoejoe7 Then what is the right translation, genius?

  • well do you even know what durch den monsun kmeans it means through the monsoon and the beginning doesn't even begin like that it goes "im starin at a broken door theres nothin left here anymore my room is cold its makin me insane" Monsoon" is the english translation of durch den monsun you idiot.

  • no its not ur an idiot its not the same cuz if you actualy knew german you would know that makes no sense

  • the translation is correct...

  • @gojoejoe7 why are people so arrogant? this is RIGHT and its right because it is the direct translation from german to english, i asked my sister and being german her self she confirmed that this translation is correct, stick that up your british arse and crawl back to your arrogant house

  • the lyrics are right! and i am from germany so i know it! it's an amazing song! i totaly love tokio hotel and all of their music!!! xD

  • @garnetbaby26164 True that.

  • grow a pair

  • I loved bill's voice at this age. it was so pure and good, then after it broke, it got a bit whiny & strained. thanks again for posting, I really love this video. =)

  • you're right... his voice was way better than now, but i still like it x) singing like this is veeery hard Oo, he's great =D

  • this is the worng translationX(

  • @eylashaggy1 You are wrong to be on the internet.

  • how cute this is

  • great job....well done....!!!!!

  • I think this video is really cool.except that the traslation is wrong because the lyrics do go like that.

  • Comment removed

  • I thought it was good.

  • looks like the misheard version fro the translation..but its good.

  • @chickenfish14 The misheard version? Wtf is wrong with you?

  • haha,Many things. where should i start?..hmm

  • I think this song was written more like an inspirational song rather than a love song.

  • look i am not trying to be intellegint but ich muss durch den monsun does mean running through the monsoon and if you take the lyric papper that comes with the cd and you match up the coruses cuz it has english and german ich muss durch den monsun means running through the monsoon NOT i must go through the monsoon for one i do speak german so you can shut your mouth about that and im not a moron thank you very much so you might check the supid translator you the cd lyrics i right so

  • @supernaturalfreak513 If you spoke German, why would you have to read the lyrics in the CD booklet? You are so obviously lying that I almost feel sorry for you right now. You should feel embarrassed.

I can't validate this, but if the lyrics inside the Schrei booklet say "running through the monsoon," then that's only there to make the lyrics more understandable for English speakers. But it is STILL not a direct translation. If you spoke German, you would know that.

  • @TwoBrokenWyngs

Actually there are some errors, but most of them are quite minor, except the first sentence.

"Das fenster öffnet sich nicht mehr" directly translated means "The window opens itself no more" which will turn out as "The window will no longer open" or something like that.

    Else it's a pretty good translation ^^

  • @supernaturalfreak513

ich muss durch den Monsun means I have to go trough the monsoon

i'm speaking german so i'm sorry if you mean it is a wrong translation

  • @supernaturalfreak513

"Ich muss durch den Monsun" directly translated, actually is "I must through the monsoon" and I know that, since not only do I live in Denmark, which lies just north from Germany, but I also learn German in school AND I got plenty of German friends.

"Running through the monsoon" would be "Laufen durch den Monsun"

Please check a translator or a dictionary before blurting things like these out ^^

  • @supernaturalfreak513 one thing, muss is the verb must in english.. ich = I, muss = must, durch den monsun = go thru the monsoon :)

  • bill vc é o cara vÔ chorá :(

  • bill vc é o cara vÔ chorá :(

  • im terXterXterezka1997!!!!!! the comment below is mine

  • i love it so much!!! i no it now...all words...i listened to it like 100000 times and i no it !!!!! i didnt even have lyrics or karaoke!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT IN GERMAN!!!! HATE IT IN ENGLSIH"!!!

  • im not tryin to offend you but if so im just explaining to you and if you used a translator it must b rong cuz "durch den monsun" means running through the monson not i must go through the monsoon

  • @supernaturalfreak513 What the hell is wrong with you? Don't just say things just to say them. Don't just make things up just to try to sound intelligent.

You are obviously lying about knowing German, as "ich" directly translates into "I" and "muss" directly translates into "must". The word-for-word translation of "Ich muss durch den monsun" is "I must through the monsoon," but for a Native speaker of German, the word "go" is implied by the context.

    Now, stop being a moron.

  • @TwoBrokenWyngs haha luv ur comments =D xD

  • @supernaturalfreak513 your righ

  • @lovehurts68 no he/she's not... my uncle's german and the person who made the video is right... "muss" is the modal verb "must", but all i can explain to u is already done by the propietor of dis video :)

    GreeTinGs fRom Spain!!

    Grüße aus Spanien!! Tschüss!!

  • @lovehurts68 no he's not.. the correct explanation for it is done by "TwoBrokenWyngs"

  • those are not the correct english words i would kno i can speak some german for example when he says durch den monsun hes not sayin i must go through the monsoon its running through the monsoon just

  • No, the explanation provided is correct.

  • IT IS!!! ITS JUST DIFFERENT

  • er . . . guys, this is supposed to be a direct translation of the GERMAN VERSION you're watching now not the ENGLISH ONE!!!! Got it?????????

By the way, I think this video is faaab!!! I have to say I prefer their German songs rather than the English ones, but they're still fantastic too . . . . . . .

  • Comment removed

  • genial

  • the translation of the german lyrics is right... she did not write the english lyrics but she translated exactly the german... k???

  • these lyrics are 100% correct, people are just being stupid and not using their brains. it's true tht people tht speak a different language translate it into english the lyrics are different. obviously some people dont read comments. just saying, no offense to those who said "wrong lyrics" . im just trying to prove a point.

  • this is the wrong lyrics

  • @BloodMunch97 IF ONE MORE GODDAMN PERSON TRIES TO GIVE ME THE LYRICS TO THE ENGLISH VERSION, I WILL FIND EVERY ONE OF THEM AND STRANGLE THEM TO DEATH WITH THEIR OWN STUPIDITY.

    THIS. IS. THE. DIRECT. TRANSLATION.

THE ENGLISH ~*~*~*~VERSION~*~*~*~ HAS ALTERED LYRICS THAT WOULD RHYME AND MAKE SENSE IN ENGLISH.

PUT DURCH DEN MONSUN'S LYRICS THROUGH AN ONLINE TRANSLATOR IF YOU CAN'T GRASP THIS CONCEPT.

    GODDAMN.

  • @TwoBrokenWyngs They don't understand :'(

  • I think this is one of their best songs for sure

  • dude, this is actually better than the american version in my opinion. plus i like bill's hair better short like in this. his hair now makes him look like a girl. =P

  • god will you people just shut up these translations are the literal translation into english. Over seas bands sometimes alter there songs from there language into a different one changing there lyrics in the process

i listened to both songs and it is changed

  • uh... wrong lyrics idiot -_-

  • their first and best song

  • this video they were 15 .... and THE ENGLISH LYRICS IS WRONG! if ur gonna make a video get the lyrics right k ?

  • Comment removed

  • @Alldabella And wich lyrics should be right? The ones that are in Monsoon? u__u

  • I LIKE THIS SONG YEEEEA

  • i have all their cd's. i am a proud fan of tokio hotel... people who think they r dumb is obviously blind!! ^.^

  • @750kristina

people who think they are dumb ARE obviously blind, obviously youre the dumb one

  • i dont know how to understand stuff that well..

i meant to say they r awesome. dont beleive me? look at my videos. im not dumb ur dumb. do u even like tokio hotel? Cuz if u dont then why do u even bother commenting!? i loove them dumbass!!!

  • @750kristina i love them, but your grammar is making them look bad

  • i miss the old TOKIO HOTEL ...... but i must admit the new TOKIO HOTEL is still great ...

  • (lol, these were the days when they still showed every member of the band, haha, now its just bill, bill, bill) I love their earlier videos, they were so artistic & abstract--like the door in the field, bill looking at tom in his reflection, the water above their heads. really cool, all that symbolism. thanks for posting--I do like seeing the difference in dialect between german & english lyrics. =)

  • i dont know about the transilation but its a good song..... i respect the fact they worked hard to be where they are now :)

  • LMAO you guys are so immature arguin about the translations. :D

  • in this video they have 12 years old

  • @NEGRITA480150 its there first music video when they were 15

  • No, he was 15.

  • I NO IT

  • i just got the cream cd today. i love it. but i wish i could buy schrei. its not on i tunes and the cd is expensive

  • Luv

     TOM

  • LOVE IT!!!!

  • LOVE IT!!!!

  • very good job , thank you :-))

  • i listened to it like 50 times now i red the transtlations and...i no some words...i bit of song i can sing

  • um im Irish and im like fluent at German

    and this is actually rite

    and i love the song

    and i lv Gustav

    he looks cute heer

  • now that i understand wat they r saying, i understand tha song. thanks 4 making tha english subtitles. now i jus need 2 understand tha song rette mich lol

  • the original lyrics are more beautiful.

  • i agree i hope they sing it like this again

  • Um, I am German, and whoever says this is wrong is wrong themselves. This is right.

  • guy

  • If that is the correct ones, than why does Bill sing it differently when he redoes it as Monsoon?

  • Because Monsoon is not a DIRECT translation, it is changed so it one, makes sense and two sounds better!

  • LIAR! lmao

  • it woldn't sound as the same song. wenever u translate a song, u need to adapt it to keep the rhythm

  • H.O.T.! I can't believe I actually understand some of these words, that Tokio Hotel sings! I mean, I understand english, but my own language is norwegian, and danish of course is lot a like it. :)

  • This isn't Danish though. It's German. Scandinavian languages, German and Dutch(my language) are all similair indeed.

  • love bill & emo

  • dont get bill messed up with emos :\ Grr

  • @dragnine a boy ofcorse! i think you se it but you just say that cuase the ather say its a girl!!

  • i think that the translation is good ! it is the song that you care abaot not the translation ;O

  • How old was Bill in this video? 2-3?

  • o_O wtf? 3?? he was like 13 i think

  • 15 or 16 in that video :D

  • me gusta mucho tokiohotelra 4ever

  • aaaahw Bill is so cute here. I learn german and English at school,

  • The translations ARE correct, I am German. I should know :)

  • little bill lol

  • i think the translations are CORRECT ;)

  • not even i know the lyrics WRONG

  • if u guys are trying to compare it to the english "Monsoon" song, the translation isn't direct! Durch den monsoon came before the english version, so these lyrics are the correct ones

  • Q LINDOS

  • Comment removed

  • @taylor1817 The band is German. The German lyrics are technically the "real" ones. :/

Besides, have you ever heard the song "99 Luftbalons" by Nena? Talk about an English translation being wrong. Just because the English version is different from the German version doesn't mean it's translated correctly.

  • lo maximo

  • Ok your telling me to grow a brain well a actually am learning German and have the RIGHT Translation so grow a Dumd-ass

  • Dumd-ass, ey? And how would I grow one of these allged Dumd-asses?

  • why thay rock if you dont think then you can go to HELL !!!!!!!!! :p

  • aww this is when he was litte bill so cute.

  • @ITACHI123gh Oh, really? Go look up the lyrics in German and translate them yourself. You'll find they're right. And don't pull that "I'm taking German" stuff on me, because I'm taking it, too. :/

  • @ITACHI123gh he/she has the right translation here :) Ur only learning so you probably made some mistakes.

  • @ITACHI123gh oh and something else, if ur refering to the fact that hinter die welt is translated as beyond the world instead of behind. That's exactly what it means, because of the context. You would know that if you were an experienced in german.

  • Take this from a German who is fluent in hmm German AND English, these are CORRECT.

  • i know they are right

  • This is better than the real lyrics great

  • if these are the actual lyrics then i wonder why theyre so different to the english one

  • the lyrics on this video are the direct german translation. The english lyrics on this video are different than the english lyrics in the english version of the song because the english lyrics in the english version are not a direct translation since, obviously, the direct translation of the german version would not fit the beat or sound good with the song (because the syllables and rhyming would be off)

these lyrics are what the german lyrics mean.

  • ah so thats why.

    thanks for the information :)

  • Wow he looks so young, all of them do. Bill actually looks really cute here.

I can't really remember but didn't they make another video for this when they were older??
