  • This is the council of Elrond, NOT Evenstar

  • @killgriffinnow It's neither. People just post wrong titles. This is Aniron!

  • this is not evenstar, this is aniron

  • Can't figure out why Aragorn's moment with his dead mother is a part of this video :/

    Loved it otherwise.

  • @jantarbuba he paid homage to his mother by cleaning the statue :) thats a sign of reverence and respect

  • It's hardly to describe what i feel everytime i hear that touching music.. desire, promises..

    Words can't describe.

  • I want this song to be played at my funeral. When I pass on - into Heaven, my loved ones will know that death is not something to fear, but to be embraced. Part of Prof. Tolkien's works in the Simallrion was what the Elves called the "Gift of Men".

This gift is limited life. The fact that the Elves do not age means they become sad and lonely - they have to walk the world forever. Unlike humans - who would pass on and find eternal peace.

  • want this horse O.o

  • Thanks for this, I soooo much love LOTR and the soundtrack, especially this song. To me it sounds kind of very spiritual, pure feelings, still goosebumps every time I hear it...

  • 2 PEOPLE HAVEN'T SEEN LORD OF THE RINGS

  • simply B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L and brings tear to my eyes :')

  • "awesome" is the only word that may describe this video. really good work ;)

  • this is so dreamy to watch.

  • As much as I liked the movies, I actually thought the love scenes between Aragorn and Arwen were a bit too visually playful rather than implied like in the books. It kind of failed to capture the imagination of the story. Still, the movies were well done nonetheless.

  • que hermosa cancion the lord of the ring the best film in the world

  • omg CHILLS ON MY BACK

  • I remember my middle-school art teacher would play this while we did our work.

  • @FightkingSNF wow, what a coincidence, mine did too

  • Gutes Video mit passender Musik, aber ich glaube dieses Lied gehört zum Titel: The Council of Elrond, bin aber nicht sicher. Evenstar wird (wenn ich mich nicht irre) von Isabel Bayrakdarian gesungen.

  • O môr henion i dhu: Ely siriar, el síla Ai! Aníron Undómiel Tiro! El eria e mor. I 'lir en el luitha 'uren. Ai! Aniron... Translation: From darkness I understand the night: dreams flow, a star shines Ah! I desire Evenstar Look! A star rises out of the darkness The song of the star enchants my heart Ah! I desire...
  • best ever

  • such an amazing, and beautiful and out of this world piece of music <3

but i dont know if anyones noticed... but this isnt evenstar, this is a segment of the song 'the council of elrond'

  • @nadzs33 indeed, this is Aniron, sung by Enya

  • enya is from gweedore in county donegal, eire...originally :)

  • If there is to be one thing to achieve during my time here on earth, it would be to find pure love like Arwen & Aragorn. A love that is intoxicating and as deep and endless as the ocean. Wouldn't that be sublime?

Very nice video btw! :) LOVE IT!

  • this is not the same song as 'May it be', right?

  • @heidrunf I hope no one thinks this is spam, but in answer to your question, look up 'Enya - May it Be - Final Fantasy VIII'; beautiful too. Both beautiful.

  • @MrSpongg Yeah I know about May it be but I was wondering if it's the same song as Evenstar. They at least sound so similar to me.

  • @heidrunf no they're not the same song, but theyre both beautiful :)

  • I thought I had strayed into a dream

  • I can't think of any deeper and more pure lovestory than that of arwen and aragorn; for example if you compare this to story of romeo and julliet, the ultimate lovestory in western culture. julliet doesn't want to live anymore without romeo and takes her live, arwen doesn't want to live without aragorn and gives up immortality and eden-like valinor, which is an far more greater sacrifice.

thank you for your literary heritage tolkien.

  • Beautiful

Arwen and aragorn true love that fight for each other

i had a arwen by the name of Ediel in lord of the rings online

wish i still was her aragorn </3

  • Actually it's council of elrond but no matter how do u call it, its just as good as it simply can...

  • Incredible song, very melodic and clearly composed by a master. I love this video. The clips are timed perfectly to the music. Two thumbs-up!

  • Why does the voice sound so much higher? Music is right but it just doesnt sound like Enya to me...

  • "this is a dream"......"then it is a good dream"

  • It's not Enya. It's Isabel Bayrakdarian!

  • This is not Enya's voice. But it is still beautifull :)

  • its like a beautiful dream ;))

  • brings tears to my eyes everytime

  • @Malibuboomboom me to

  • This is so emotional.

Anything effects my feelings so much as these melodies does.

  • Enya was so perfect to do the LOTR music. Her voice is so amazing. [:

  • oooohhh wow sooo mystic, unreal and beautiful

  • Best song from Enya...

  • Being a ruff old/young man, takes alot

to give me chills. This sound is angelic

  • fucking epic

  • ohhh. i just love this song. it's so beautiful

  • what do the elven words on the stone at the beginning say? i could only make out the first few letters. i think it was g l i r a ... that's all i could see. (yes i can read elf thank you very much) i wasn't 100% sure about the first letter. the first two look like they are missing pieces.

  • Must be "Gilraen", because the scene is called "Gilraen's grave".

  • @TheElmoShow1 If you pause it, it translates as Gilraen, who was Aragorn's mother and brought him up in Rivendell.

  • nice. sensitive.

  • i played this song once on the internet through my microphone and people were enthralled with how beautiful it was. None of them guessed it was Enya singing it or that it came from the movie Lord of the Rings. I loved it because it is like you are in a dream and everything is in slow motion. It is my favorite song from Lord of the Rings

  • senza parole... stupenda

  • i don t know why...this voice is everything...past present future...i don t know why i feel all the world trough my soul when i hear it

  • there is no more word to say.. <3

  • BEAUTIFUL. 5*

  • this song is acctually called Aniron and Evenstar is a different song. This Is Absolutely Beautiful Though. I sing it in singing but would never be able to match this. love the video. xx

  • This is such a beautiful video. It's just lovely. One of my favorite passages from the score and you put the images together so well to the music...especially the beginning when you see the close up of Aragorn's face. Caught my heart! x

  • *squeals* my evenstar necklace is here, it is soooooo beautiful

  • I've always wanted to see one in person, congratulations.

  • what is the name of the song when they are on the bridge i need that song does any body know the name of it.......is it

  • LOTR is the best movie ever.. this will always be my number 1 <3333

  • Me too by far. There is so many places in the trilogy that is so emotional for me. I think the music has alot to do with it. It wouldn't be half as emotional without the great music.

  • Hi Everyone!

Can anybody help me? I'm looking for a track from Lord of the rings - The Two Towers.. There's a track when Arwen and Aragorn talk to each other, it is in Aragorn's memory, when they are going to Helm's valley, and Eowyn asked him about his necklace what he received from Arwen.. So hwo knows that track? thank you in advance

  • Hi! Not sure but in the related videos bit on the right there's a vid called " The Two Towers - 08- Evenstar" which I think might be it... hope this helps! :)

  • The song is called evenstar. each movie has a beautiful slow song, the one from the fellowship is Aniron, from the two towers it's Evenstar, and from the return of the king it's twilight and shadow.

  • Remind me what Twilight and Shadow is again? I tried to find it on my soundtrack but I'm just... not finding it. O:

  • do u know what s the name of the song when Gandalf is UPON the tower of isengard and a butterfly goes to him?

  • Absolutely beautiful

  • Brilliant =)

  • 1:03 so beautiful by Enya
