Oh great, well isn't this just a bunch of hospital policy propaganda. Take a class so they can convince you they have to CUT you to get the baby out! Take a class so they can convince you that your baby has to be introduced to a cold, sterile environment for it's first few moments, with needles being stuck in it. Propaganda, this stuff is for the uninformed who just want it easy.

HisNobleStrength - not all childbirth classes are propaganda. I am a nurse and I teach the classes at my hospital (they are free) and my goal as an instructor is to tell that parents they have CHOICES and they don't have to agree to everything, this is their birth and their baby. I have witnessed many women seem to be better able to give birth without interventions when they know more and have some belief in their own power.

Montananurs - this is very similar to the Lamaze class my wife and I attended 27 and 25 years ago.

Great preparation for child birth. We had three very happy experiences, but the parents need to be informed of what can happen, including what might go wrong.

I strongly recommend Lamaze class for expectant parents.
