my cobra was $150 and it has paid off itself and sooooooo much more, i love it, never failed me. everytime there is a cop with his radar on mine lets me know and i slow down before i even reach to cop. :) worth the money for my needs. :)

Cobra is a great radar detector.

The Escort 9500ix is what you want to buy. Get a mirror mount and hardwire it,

whenever you start your car, the detector is on.

The problem with smartphone solutions, from any company, is most of the time you are not going to bother taking the phone out of your pocket when you hop in your car. When the smartphone is in your pocket, and the app is not running, you are not protected from radar/cameras.

@videobitstream Thats false, the unit works as a normal radar detector would regardless if it is paired with a phone or not.

If you look when he is selecting the app, it only has a 3.5 star rating; and two apps below it it says "Are You A Moron?".

Arrows like on the v1 would make this even better. The only thing I do NOT like is the bluetooth. If it can use Wifi it would be better. Why do you ask? Because everyone uses bluetooth in their car already for making phone calls and to my knowledge you can not connect to more than 1 bluetooth device.

Also, why is some of the driving footage speeded up; wouldn't this be advertising at those who like to drive too fast?
