no the dust cover can not jam , its purely there for its name , DUST COVERRR ... and yes when he says stoppage his weapon is blocked , rounds stuck in the chamber etc etc ..
The dust cover doesn't jam, it's not an issue. What is an issue is the fact that once the bolt has been operated the dust cover comes down and remains there until it is manually put back into position.
As a result, "dust" (sand) can enter the rifle and cause stoppages.
Never used it in sand but I've seen grit and shit build up when the rifle is being used consistently without a good clean. As reported by the squadies out there, sand is an issue.

They are the most elite and professional soldiers in the world. Just because your wearing camo doesn't make you a professional. There is a general distaste of the US Army and Marines within the British Army. Americans have the uncanny ability to be involved in many of our Blue-On-Blue situations, and are often viewed as thugs with lots of expensive toys attached to their weapons. It doesn't help that the stereotypical American to us British is either a seriously overweight, dense and opinionated American patriot, or a thug with poor social skills who needs to wear body armour to play 'football'. -_-

To all concerned morons:
The dust cover doesn't jam, it's not an issue. What is an issue is the fact that once the bolt has been operated the dust cover comes down and remains there until it is manually put back into position.
As a result, "dust" (sand) can enter the rifle and cause stoppages.
Never used it in sand but I've seen grit and shit build up when the rifle is being used consistently without a good clean. As reported by the squadies out there, sand is an issue.
