  • 6:35 made me cry...

  • Welcome in Germany, guys!

  • This is the best series i ever seen, trully amazing,i just love it R.I.P. all those who died during WW2,and may God protect the living ones.

  • Always makes me weep at the end, so humble.

  • Band of Brothers, The Lucky few, Protected the world, Protected by God. Amen.

  • 2 ungrateful bastards. You two should go to hell and be punish for not appreciating the sacrifices those company of heroes made!

  • @Trude174 I wish I could have met Dick Winters, I live only 45 minutes from Hershey but I didn't watch the series until late 2011 :/ He died a year and 5 days ago, and his birthday comes up in 11 days.

  • man these guys were the true heroes

  • aw yes this is the best show ever!

  • Waaauw! 'Grandpa, were you a hero in the war? Grandpa said no, but I surved in a company of hero's. ' Respect! R.I.P Dick Winters

  • I find it telling that not one single man celebrates or cheers when told about the war being over. Despite how great this series was, there's no way I could ever understand what they went through. They are deserving of every iota of my respect and everyone elses.

  • Present Arms!

  • these people deserve nothing but respect and admiration!!!!

  • It utterly astounds me that this company was not awarded the Medal Of Honour not because the lost men or were braver or more aggressive but because they epitpmise the courage in normality that ordinary soldiers in the forces even today possess, whether it be Iraq ,Afhghanistan,or long ago in the frozen foxholes of Bastonge....Honour Them!!!

  • The war ended a long time ago. But when you think German, remember this clip. If these young men had not orevailed on those northern French beaches and further inland in 1944-45, our world today would be a very different place. God bless them all and all their countries. And the next time some French peasant refuses to speak English to you, just remind them that these guys had no such problem being understood. Saving their cheese-eating arses.

  • Major Richard Winters D-Day plus Eternity. RIP SIR!

  • An amazing mini-series. It gave me insight and perspective of WW2 like no other movie, book, documentary etc. One of the best endings of any program or movie too.

  • How can you be such dumb to unlike this video?

  • i really hope that they all are in heaven so one day i can meet all of them and give them a handshake.

  • This episode just finished on our national television :) It was nice to watch Band of Brothers :)

  • I started to cry and i couldnt stop :( GOD BLESS EM ALL !

  • @Anchilo2305 Me too.. I cry so hard every time I see this part...

  • @DvanBavel It's hard not to cry really. I resist getting upset, until I see Winters at the end saying the famous quote.

  • "We stand alone together"

  • OMG THE YEAR I WAS BORN TWO OF THEM DIED, depressing :(

  • That last part makes me tear up a little

  • what song is this?

  • @Gh0stSk113r Its called Requiem for a Soldier its on Youtube witht the lyrics

  • god bless easy company who went to hell in 1944

  • I really love this mine series. I still watching this mini series every 6-8moths and every time i just feel more and more respect for men of easy company. And i am disapointed that i live in Lithuanian and cant tell when what respect i have for them. If i would live in USA i really would go to vet's and thank them that i can enjoy live withat war.

  • This scene makes me want to cry, and i'm one tough SOB... haha well not that tough.

  • This was the BEST made for tv show I've EVER SEEN!!

My dad served in Los Alamos during the building of 'the bomb'. He died in 1998 and never got to see this show. DAMN.

  • its hard to watch that without getting goose bumps knowing that a bunch of those guys that were just talking are dead now

  • Greatest series of all time

  • Tears

  • "Grandpa were you a hero in the war?" "No,but I served in a company of heroes." LOVE IT. God bless the WWII vets and those who served at any time

  • @tastymilkshake1001 that part makes me tear up everytime

  • @tastymilkshake1001

me and a friend of mine bursted out in tears after he said that, awesome series.

  • I love how the final word of the series is "heroes".

  • What is that lake in bergtesgarten called?

If anyone knows send me a message...

  • @jebu23 The lake is Lake Konigsee

  • Also like saving privite Ryan I think everyone does and I also like the pacific , Letters From Iwo Jima, The Great Escape (long movie kind of boring a bitter sweet end not really a war movie but its a true story about a POW camp escape (POW/ Prisinors Of War)

  • @CODGunsOfWarAirsoft I think you should watch Full Metal Jacket, too. It's about war of Vietnam, but worth to see.

  • I just love this show as well as ( U-571/Nazi u boat movie in the end only 8 American men survive the Captian dies but they destroyed a submarine and destroyer and brought back secret German documents of course they where rescued when they had to abandon ship if you've seen it and liked it thumbs up if not see it right now!

  • I m British , well welsh really , i v got the CD compilation of Band Of Brother which i cherish ! , i m in my 30 s but i so admire what the young American soldiers did in the final months of WW2 , they put their lives on the line ! , that s bravery ! , and nobody showed it more than Major Richard Winters and his company of men , true heroes . The final scenes of B O B cut me to the bone ! , i dare anyone to say that they don t cry like a baby ! , thank u all and god bless u .

  • @happytommo this show dose make me cry i love this show

  • Currahee!!

  • every time I see this movie, especially this last part, I get the biggest knot in my throat. Im not a tough guy but not a baby either and I very rarely feel like crying but boy when Winters says that last part I damn near cry a river. God bless all of them.

  • @TheRedram37

I have the same feelings. I've watch the complete series 10 times or more. Have you watched Pacific yet?

  • to the two people who disliked this... fuck you

  • who can dislike this? seriously if you didn't shed any tears then you have no soul at all.

  • this bring tears to my eyes bless all of you,and to the the two dislikes go back to adolf hitlers pants

  • they are HEROES..we are only little baby..i ll always remember they work in europe!thx...rip Major Winter..

  • Rejoin your company Major Winters. You have served this country well. Rest in Peace and God speed.

  • This is the best part of band of brothers for me. EVerytime I watch, it's a journey. And this ending is all too amazing, the lasts words that Damien Lewis are amazing...

  • I cry every time I watch this. "Grandpa were you a hero in the war? Grandpa said no.... but I served in a company of heroes." RIP Major Richard Winters.

  • I just hope that there will come Italian and Soviet Union campaings too or Germans campaing

or USA civil war or World War 1

  • They were all heros, and he was their leader. RIP.

  • My respect to Major Richard Dick winters. Band of brothers is my most favourite world war 2 movie/story. I have watched it over a hundred times and I can still watch it over a hundred years. Never saw a bond between men so close as Easy company from the 506e 101rst airborne devision.

By the way, I saw bill guarnere speaking at the end he lost 1 leg I believe ?

but does anyone know what happend to joe toye ?

  • @Thooropp92 joe toye died in 1995.

  • Major Richard Winters is the epitome of a leader. Intelligent, brave, resolute and a devotion to his men that lasted well into to his older years. No wonder he was so well respected by his men. He was a REAL soldier.

  • if you are a real American you wont have a problem sheding a tear of two when the last few words are said. im not a tuff guy but im not a baby either but boy that line gets me everytime no matter what im feeling.

  • @hockey4able american? If your a human being you will know and understand just what these guys did for us to be in the world we live in today. MAJOR respect to Dick Wintors :/ R.I.P

    - Lad from Britian

  • These men won't really ever be gone.As long as we remember their sacrifices and what they stood for they'll allways live.

  • (':

  • No matter how many times I see the last words of Major Winters in this amazing series of events I can't help but shed a tear! God bless you all. What you have all done has made my life what it is. Never forgotten, always remembered.

  • I have never ... never... never cried on a TV show or movie...

    But this...

This is just undescribable!! I cried for like 2 days, Especially on the last part!

"Grandpa, Were you a hero in the war?"

"Grandpa said no, But I server in a company of heroes!!"

It is just...... Words cant describe it!!

May all of these heroes and legends rest in peace!!

They shall be remembered by all of us! At least by me!!

R.I.P Victims of World War II!

  • Legends all of them..

  • omg, was it just me or did anyone else getting the biggest chills when that veteran at the end said that Line!

    Now that was Epic!

  • @kungfoolai "Company of Heroes" ... I guess the producers of that video game inspired themselves from Winters.

  • @MotoscuterZ probably did, Epic!

  • RIP Major Winters, God loved you and will always be with you. Hope you had a hell of a life.

  • Posted 3 years ago on my birthday, cool.

  • Dear God , Please keep this man and his friends safe, warm and in one piece. He was one of ours and now hes one of Yours. Take good care of him. thanks.

  • heroes do not choose their destiny.

destiny chooses who their heroes will be.

a hero who destines to be shall never be

but a destined hero will never have thought he could be, and will be.

  • We've been so blessed to have had these men in our midst.

  • I had just begun to do research on this subject, just finished the series, and just now found out Major Winters passed. A truly heroic and honorable man, soldier, and leader, may he rest in peace.

  • Your with your men now Dick Winters, your "BAND OF BROTHERS"

  • @lurkula D-day plus 24,316 to be exact; great way to honor him. I would bet there are few soldiers who made a greater impact on this world and the people who knew him in those 24,316 days since D-Day than Dick Winters. RIP, Sir. You will never be forgotten.

    Proud son of Peleliu veteran

  • Comment removed

  • Rest in Peace Major Winters

  • Rest in peace major Winters.

  • RIP Major Winters... You inspired us all

  • They truly were the greatest generation. I remember my grandfather telling me stories of the WWII and the journey that unfolded for the men he served alongside. He has since long past as now is Major Winters but no matter how how long it has been since our grandfathers, fathers, brothers, sons and friends fought in that war, we will never forget the what they did for us, for the world. Thank you and god speed Major Winters.

  • rip...

  • Just saw the news, RIP Major Winters.

  • @StickerSlapRS i teared up when i saw the news! RIP Mister Winters, May The Lord take care and keep you safe forever.

  • @StickerSlapRS That saddens me. Although I never met him, I really wish i could have. I guess I'll never get the chance now.

  • @StickerSlapRS i had no idea! sad a youtube comment gave me this news.

  • @StickerSlapRS Never forget. Always remember. Never again.

  • @StickerSlapRS If he had decided to stay in the Army, I believe there is no doubt in anyone's minds that he would have made General.

  • Rest in Peace Major Winters.

  • Rest in Peace Major Winters.

Your service and the service of your men will be remembered.

You never counted your self as a Hero, but for millions of people you personify a true Hero.

    Rest in Peace Sir.

  • Heros all of them I cry involutrarily because I love them all They gave us our lives. War creates a comradery a bond between brothers that no civilian can ever understand of penetrate. If you dont cry when watching this movie you are not patriotic something is wrong with you.

  • War is over if you want it

  • I give my undivided respect to the men of easy company, it makes me sad when i see people arguing over whos countrys better and who has a better army, because in the end these men went through so much for thier country and for what they belived in that it should put all those who make comments like that to shame.

    R.I.P Men of easy company

and all those who died during world war 2

  • aaand where were these scenes shot? In beautiful Interlaken in Switzerland :3

  • ye it's really nice, but many ppl forget about first front where soviet soldiers 4 years fighting versus nazis

  • @colzimo YOU FORGET, WE DIDN'T HAVE TO FIGHT . WE DID AND HELP SAVE THE WORLD. THE RUSSIAN FRONT ? THEY HAD NO CHOICE , THEY HAD TO FIGHT. WE DID NOT. RUSSIA WOULD BE PART OF GERMANY TODAY IF WE HADN'T FOUGHT.

  • These are the true heroes not only for USA but for all free people in the world.

    Greentings from Brasil!!

  • It's not often I comment on the likes or dislikes on a video, but what two people in their right mind could dislike this video?! Idiots.

  • @jameslove888

I know it. These are people who don't like democracy and freedom.

I'm from Austria and the soldiers in the video are the reasoen why I could write these lines at a pc in a free country.

  • oh man, when mister Richard says that last part, i cry like a baby :(

  • man it sucks that guys like luz and doc roe (the medic) and all the others that passed away didnt live to see this

  • Thank God (and the US) that these young men prevailed on those northern beaches of France and subsequent battles so long ago. For if they had not, and the Germans had won, our world would be a very different place. God bless them all.

  • i havent cried in over a year, but this got me. bless those men.

  • a truly amazing tv series...the final quote gets me every time...

  • LOL i can tell the 1 dislike is a nazi.

  • @JumpstyleFanatic That's not really funny

  • beautiful

    true heroes

  • The next time you hear someone bagging the US, take a moment and think of those magnificent young Americans whose exploits on those northern French shores so many years ago helped us here today to 'enjoy a world without war'.

  • My Uncle served w/ Special Forces in Vietnam. When he spoke of the men he served with,he said that they were brave beyond whatever was expected of any soldier.War,unlike anyother experience you may have, leaves a mark on your soul you'll never be able to erase. The memories of these Vets are as fresh as if it happened to them last month, and will be so until they pass. They may deal with their memories in different ways, but they're allways there.God bless them for their service, grant them peace.

  • Simply the greatest portrayal of soldiers ever brought to the screen. Even better than Saving Private Ryan, if that's possible.

  • @screenwriter44 yea this is wayyy better than saving private ryan because its real

  • I always cry manly tears when I see this scene. I'm not even American, and my country (Finland) was co-belligerent of the Nazi Germany, but that doesn't change anything. Greatest series of all time.

Us Fins were pulled to war against our will. We were only afraid of the Soviets and tried to ally with the Brits etc first, but we were turned down. We had no choices but to ally with the Germans. And we absolutely didn't share the Nazi ideology.

  • @JyppeP

No need to explain Finlands choices here...claiming Finland "co-belligerent" is a Finnish way of evading the fact that the Finns were fighting with the Germans for mainly the same cause i.e. destruction of USSR (which is the good part of it! IMO)

Read some history books. We were seeking for German backup in spring/summer 1940, eager to get back what was lost in winter 1940. At no time we were looking for an alliance with UK

I agree on one thing : the scene brings tears to my eyes too.

  • @JyppeP I watched the film, "The Winter War", featuring your country men fighting against the soviets. You don't even need to explain why your country's alignment was the case; the soviets were bastards. Your country men fought patriotically to preserve your autonomy. Thats the bottom line, my friend.

  • Holy shit... Hitler's personal photo albums... I wonder what you would get if you sold it.

  • One of the best examples of great televison every produced. A salute to all involved, esepcially Tom Hanks, Steven Speilberg and Captain Dale Dye. Every time I view the series, I think about how much better a life I should try to live, to honor those who've fought in my name. God bless all the veterans!

  • I was driving home to Ft Campbell and stopped at a Rest Stop, and met one of the men from Easy Company headed to a reunion, he noticed my 101st Airborne sticker and told be about Bastogne and D Day and his experiences there. Was something to be in the site of that man, to hear his story gave me the inspiration to remain in the service and be a better man and soldier, these men are truly hero's

  • It would be equally nice if the Germans made their own version of Band of Brothers, something like ”Wir waren wie Brüder” . The unit could be for example Luftlande-Sturm-Regiment 1 which captured the Eben Emael fort in 1940... But I´m afraid contemporary Germans feel too uneasy with producing any movies/series showing Germans as heroes. I wish they forgot their guilt for a while and pay tribute for the brave German soldiers too!

  • @Paska10 I argee

  • I wasn't fortunate enough to grow up in the generation that BoB depicted, and I really wish I had. My grandfather served in the Army during WWII. I haven't read the book by Tom Brokaw named "The Greatest Generation", but I truly believe it was the greatest generation. It was a time when everyone looked out for their fellow man, instead of only looking out for themselves.

It is a crying shame that so many have sacrificed their lives for things that so many are now willing to give up.

  • These men are so special.

This is when men were men, you didn't mess with these guys.

  • these men are heroes !!!

  • 1 person missed the like button

  • 1 person disliked?

  • i dont think these men will ever rest soliders agents men heros

  • I want to meet the heroic Dick winters before he dies! Little did I know he lives only 10 minutes away from me! That would be such an honor..

  • i am willing to do anything to go back to fight in ww2

  • The greatest generation. I'm so grateful to all the men who gave so much so I can have so much.

  • the only thing i dont get about this is they forget alot of people? they didnt mention heffron, popeye, garcia, cobb, malarkey, toye or gaunere, i know that toye and guarnere were injured and malarkey was transfered and garcia hashey and heffron were replacements but still other than that it was the best finale ever!!

  • @MickityMickMick04 they cant they could only show the people playing baseball, like u said guanrere and toye were RTUèd Malarkey wasnèt there anymore and heffron and hashey had enough points to go home

  • The thing that annoys me is when Dick Winters says "war". "I've had enough of warrrr" ahhh stop it!

  • @AssassinateThisEzio u dont have the right to tell hime to stop it . Dick winters served this country honorably . Its bc of men like him that assholes like u can live freely with out fear u should greatful for ur freedom

  • come on guys watch out when ur hitting the like button one of u missed and made it hav a dislike........ not good enough.

  • wow, this scene is so powerful and amazing it gets me everytime.

  • Just finished watching the series tonight - had to watch this scene again. No other words other than what a truly beautiful poignant ending to an amazing series and document to the bravery and honour of these men.

  • Can anyone NOT cry at the finalinterview scene??

  • I have to say, they swing the bat pretty badly...

  • 101st Airborne Division - ALL REGIMENTS - HEROES.

66 years ago tonight my Great Uncle Lt. Joe McGregor was part of Pathfinder Security 501PIR in Normandy, eventually KIA 9th January 1945.......Never forgotten!

  • we lucky few, we band of brothers.

  • i remember meeting some of these guys, was a great honor

  • Heroes in the truest form of the word. My utmost respect and love goes out to all of these guys. Thank you.

  • I will post this on my page in honor of my father this Memorial Day. He was in Korea Marine 1st Division. Called themselves "The Frozen Chosin" A Band of Brothers. My father was a hero. I lost my dad Jan. 1 2010 @ dawn. I come to this video and I see my father and it is difficult. He fought a good fight. He is a Marine always a Marine. Love you Daddy, your daughter

  • "The Pacific" just wasn't as good. This is a high standard. The lives of the soldiers in The Pacific weren't connected in one company as in "Band," so it was a difficult stretch to see it as a whole.

  • @bt10ant It's a whole different beast. I'm not really sure the two stories can be related. The war in the Pacific was completely different from the European theater of war. The Marines faced a different enemy, and they were in unfamiliar territory. The Pacific does well in what it seeks to portray, and that is the brutality of war from both sides. Both are remarkable series in their own merit.

  • Just the greatest miniseries of all time...

  • We wil probley never see a program as good as this one
