Hmm... no pun inteded, but i don't think anything big is going to come out of vietnam. To get that big you need, not only the support of your own ppl by support of others. Japanese ppl listen to korean/chinese music and vice versa. Same thing goes with movies/dramas. No offense, but i dont see vietnam entering that playing field for a long time. Thailand's chances are slightly better.

I agree with you on the idea that in order to make it big, you need support from others in addition to the support from your own people. These guys are rapping in France and has already won that crowd. The problem is that they are somewhat underground and is not that known here in the US. They might have to rap in English so that non-French speakers would also understand (in addition to Viet/French). I strongly believe Viets will be just as strong as any other ethnic groups.
