  • not heard this in years, love it!!!!!!

  • some music just never gets old..

  • @birdiesneagles u know it

  • how shit

  • Great band! Quality lyrics

If anyone wants to listen to a new hip-hop/punk band from b'ham please check my vids of CHimps In sUIts

  • I love this - saw them twice in 1991/92 - all their songs are superb :-)

  • @zombiekicker - Musical snob? So anyone who gives a valid reason why they don't like a band/song is a snob? It's a personal opinion. You on the other hand replied by calling a complete stranger a "cunt" on youtube. How pathetic. You must have alot of issues

  • I have no idea who these British dudes are, but I likey.

  • tunnneee

  • still get tingles from this fucker ..if they knew then what landlords were like now.. .always loved the bit they did on the mary whitehouse experience.. the USM is still king..kin ave it schofield... f- bats comin for ya

  • I never really liked Carter USM that much but I always loved this song.

  • carter were gods in the day, I have still all the albums

  • I remember at the time all these nobs writing to the NME debating whether Carter were more 'punk' than the Clash etc...all from the same stable IMO ..at least they tried to do something based in the reality of the 90's..and as others have said who's doing that now???..I'll tell ya..no one!

  • COOL AS FUCK !

  • carter new cross

  • still totally relevant today, even more so, fuckin slum landlords, everyone of em' bunch ov cunts! great tune, where is todays youth social commentary??

  • Jesus, Im actually cringing listening to this

  • @MrSyrett Cringing? Why? Does it bring back memories you would rather forget? :D

  • @MrNobody808 - Just of my teenage years. You'll find most people don't really look back at them with relish. I used to like carter when I was a spotty 15 year old - its pretty poor music to be fair though - listen how repetativeand dull the hook is. Cue the thumbs down and abuse from the die hard Carter fans.

  • i seen them at glastonbury on my 18th birthday :-)

  • Mr. Close has a small willy.

  • Amazing surreal stream of consciousness lyrics. Reminded me of a pop version of Mark E. Smith.

  • One for the summer of 1990 - Days at the old Blacksmiths Arms - Jon Boy, Chop Walkley, Rob et al.... good times...

Granny Farming In The UK: Dodgy old folks homes.

While You Were out: Hospital closures and NHS/Social cuts.

What we got now? No social conscience in music, just greed

  • @cookie18667 this remains the best tune any dj in wakefield played rooftop gardens 10p a pint night RIP

  • you fat bastard

  • Rachmann was a notorious London slum landlord during the 1960s. I believe he specialised in housing the newly arrived west african/ jamaican immigrants. Had a link to the Profumo scandal in that Mandy Race Davies was his much younger girlfriend. I seem to recall photos of Rachmann at that time showed him as ageing and coruplant whereas she was either in her early 20s or even still in her teens...

  • " a born again Rachman " lyrically genious - clever clever wordsmiths - tune of the early 90,s IMO

  • Please explain why 'a born again Rachman' is lyrically genious. Thanks.

  • you fat bastard

  • In goes another left hook!

  • going to see them in two hours at brixton fuckin rock

  • How were they?

I saw them in San Diego at the height of their fame. At a time when they were playing for tens of thousands in Europe, they couldn't get 100 people at a small club ... and the lights overloaded the circuits. The power went out at least three times.

    They were great though!

It was the same story with the Levellers. Saw 'em at the same club around the same time and there were like, 50 people there. Too bad, because they kicked ass.
