Quantity has nothing to do with anything. you can have the biggest line and still sound extra dirty. As long as the material is CLEAN then quantity never plays a party in any band. I've seen big lines get crushed by little ones and believe me it's VERY possible. That's the problem with bands today....Always thinking about numbers but then they are the number ones playing dirty!

Now days numbers play a huge factor in ur line... marching percussion is evolving.. the bigger the better.. wasn't no downplay in it but like I stated b4 "if yu can't take criticism this is not the thing for yu" folks plz get out ur chest about lil comments.. I play wit howard so I kno wat its like to hear these comments.. use it as a tool to make yu better

If I were marching with anyone's drum line, I'd have NO PROBLEM with criticism. REAL TALK!!!! I guess we just have different views on Drum lines and numbers... I've always been a fan of QUALITY and not QUANTITY! Its all good!

I'm so glad that we as young black musicians can keep it respectful. In my day way too many of these things would get out of hand. S/o too Union for bringing the music program back and to Bowie's snare line for keeping it clean. I have deep ties to both music programs so all I will say is lets tune the drums before we showcase and for the love of God please leave the drum majors out of the block. Much love peace

@chopzilla90 it was a friendly block.we can argue apples and oranges all day.fact of the matter ... is if there isn't anything constructive to say keep it to yourself.sound ,style ,and look are all in what the line wants.yes, dirt is dirt...there is no arguing that. the comment you made sir, was nonconstructive to what these lines are trying to accomplish. "Respect for all lines" is a lesson i learned in high school. the mark of a percussionist is to acknowledge all styles as his/her own.
