  • That commercial was obviously made after Don Adams got smart!

  • "TENNESEE TUXEDO AND HIS TALES" was originally sponsored [and owned] by General Mills on CBS from 1963 through '66 {the alternate sponsor was Topper Toys, who briefly sponsored repeats on ABC's Sunday afternoon schedule in the fall of '66). As was the custom, Tennessee and Chumley often appeared in "integrated" commercials for their sponsor in the middle of the show. In 1964-'65, they "pitched" FrostyO's. Because Don Adams didn't appear in these ads as Tennessee's voice, Mort Marshall filled in.
