  • It can so easily be used in the movie. It's soooo great!

  • brilliant..nuff said.

  • Aww, this is lovely! Very pretty, very in-keeping with the general 'feel' of the film. You did a great job! Also: this is only your second project?! Crikey! I'd love to see what you can do now!

  • I think it's beautiful! I would easily accept this as the opening! The one thing that is disturbing me is the flickering, I think it darkens the picture too much, but maybe that's just me!

  • i like it, looks good... suits the movie

  • I like this a lot don't listen to the haters! The are some really rubbish sequences out there made by the top guns and this is spot on in terms of the mood of the film itself. I am currently stuggling to get rid of my motionn graphics project which is a total and utta' B!TC#!!!!

    I say well doe!

  • really really ☺☺☺that era was wonderful...... love, romance all was so innocent!!!! i love this film ♥♥♥

  • I think it is very nice! You attend some arts school? With which programme did you make it?

  • @17kata17 Thank you, I made it over 3 years ago when I was in school. I went to a university and Art was my major. I used Adobe After Effects. :-)

  • Really Lovely & Professional Looking!

  • Excellent! Want to see more....

  • omg that was soo BEAUTIFUL!

  • good work!!!!

  • And so was this music composed for the movie or is it a real piece by Beethoven? It sounds like the most gentle and happy Beethoven to me.

  • It was music composed for the movie. :)

  • the composer ist dario marianelli, he´s a genius

  • This is absolutely beautiful! I love the antique drawing look of it.

  • i might be doing this for violin grade 6 - is this the peice called pride and predujice by carl davis? i'm still trying to work it out....

    but your amazing! thanks

  • omg .. amazing !

  • 135 layers???!! Wow!

And I struggle with three. (lol)

Beautiful! :) Your hard work paid off!

  • nice use of illustrator swirls ,

  • Oh !!! It's beautiful!

    Great Job!

  • Heather, this is brilliant!!! And, so beautiful!! You are truly an artist!

  • that was so cool!!!!!!!

love it if only i could do that

  • I cannot find the words to explain how beautiful and well done that was...it was just so damn flawless and loved how it went from your project to the movie beautifully...it was, IS, amazing.

  • totally fits in with the song you chose too

  • This is absoluetly amazing! I love the swirly effects, and the flickering candlelight effect, and pretty much everthing about it. All of it is beautiful. If I had graded it, you'd have gotten a A+.

  • ♥ ♂.♀ ♥

  • I especially like the fade from the crosshatch drawing of the trees to the film image. Well done.

  • I like it. What it this song? I love it so much!

  • This is divine! A wonderful representation of my favorite movie! You are excellent at what you do!

  • omg......this looks so professional. i'm amazed. just......wow.

  • seriously like wow amazing.... this should have been the real opening to the movie! you have a lot of talent keep it up

  • what are you studying?

  • Beautiful job, if this was put in the movie it would be interesting too.

  • It's ok. But not impressing.

  • Easy for you to be such an expert judge when you have no videos of your own to show for it eh?

  • I'm not saying it's awful, I'm just saying it's ok.

    I've seen better. Believe me.

  • Really? no sh*t! Maybe you should consider that this is only my second project? And it isn't awful or just ok to me. I think it is good. Maybe not the best thing out there but it is good . It fits with the movie and it isn't suppose to be this blown away graphics piece. Obviously you don't get it. It's so easy for you to put people down isn't it?

  • There are some parts that could use a little bit of work, but that doesn't make it bad! I find it quite impressive, actually. Try not to get so riled up over one comment; with some practice, you'll get even better. And then all of your detractors will weep! ;D

  • It's not awful, it's not ok, it's not good, its FANTASTIC!!! Seriously it looks like a proper opening to a film. Very professional!!! Well done. I bet you got a high grade for this. Don't listen to aurevoircherie he doesn't know a good thing when he sees it.

  • Unbelievably perfect! You must have received top marks for this.

  • This was great!!!! One suggestion would be to Have the bacground move like typography if you know what i mean! i like the flickering too!!! but all in all great job!!! and also i would take a still of kiera and make it all sketchy and like the other ones and then fade it into the actual movie!!!! but great Job!!!

  • or instead of the whole typography thing you could use a page turner transition keeping with the theme of the novel!! just a thought

  • Hope you aced the class. This was great. It could easily have been the opening credits.

  • i love that song so much its jus so beautiful =]

  • WOW, Heather! So gorgeous and fitting to the film:) It also made me remember how beautiful the music in the film is! 5* and faved!

  • This is amazing! I loved it.

  • wow- that is stunning!!! nice work!!

  • Dear Lord! It's exquisite! I must say...the human race possesses quite a talent! I never would have known anyone would be able to do something like this...until now...I mean, I'm breatless! It's so nice to see others being able to create these kind of things...it's really beautiful to know...

  • one word : BEAUTIFUL

  • That was better than the actual film opening. I applaud you, that was excellent and you NEED to go into film-making!

P.S. The swirls and the candlelight effect was a fabulous touch!

  • I think Joe Wright will call you for his next film... =) Great, great, GREAT job!

  • can you please help me how to do a title sequence? i would really like to know how to do it and i beg you to help me... thank you!

  • That was great! The style was very appropriate. It integrated well into the start of the movie. It looks like a lot of work - and love - went into this. Good job!

  • Lovely.

  • Neat graphics. But the candle flicker made my eyes want to go a little bug-eyed

  • Yes it could easily be used for a movie! What grade did u get btw? It must of been a top grade!

  • I got an A! Thanks! ;-)

  • I would have given u an A* for that! It's brilliant! Did u do all the drawings urself? I like art but I'm really not good at drawing and would love to be as good as the drawings on the video!

  • Excellent! I love how it "flickers" like it's in the candlelight. Very creative! I bet you got an "A." :)

  • It's BRILLIANT! It fits P&P and the whole Jane Austen idea so well!!!

    Good job =)

  • I like very much, please check the names: Talulah, Rosamund Pike, Webster. Even if I´m not sure, that it is good to know it. It isn´t important and the sequence seem to be professional and is amiable. Two minutes more of the wonderful film would be fantastic...

  • What do you mean check the names? I got them off the DVD so I am 100% positive they are spelled correctly. There are a couple people I did not include (Caroline Bingley and Charlotte Lucas) in the credits because I didn't necessarily have to for my class. Plus I have revised this sense this was posted, but thanks. :)

  • well done

  • wonderful =)

  • very well done but the candle flikering needs to be a little softer.

  • Beautifully done! So professional! It looks like an opening to a BBC miniseries! Take a bow!

  • Impressive! I especially love the fade from the stills into the first shot of the sunrise, looks very proffesional :)

  • How did you make this?! It's amazing! Well done =D

  • Uhhh...it's a long process but I used Adobe Photoshop and After Effects. Thanks!

  • wonderful and creative. a litle too much flicker....but I love the effect.

  • I love the video, but I don't think it would be good as an opening to the movie. Rather, I think this would have been absolutely perfect, with the addition of Charlotte and Caroline, for the ending before actual white on black credits rolled.

I think for an opening it's too slow, but perfect for a closing.

  • This is absolutely breathtaking, Heathra!I am not expert but it is a brilliant opening sequence! I hope you got a good grade for this.

  • While this would add significantly more work it would make it much stronger. The masking job around the flourishes is harsh; treating each stroke individually would give a much stronger appearance of pen work in progress. Be careful of presets and filters.

  • gorgouse! did you draw those pics , because if you did they are amazing! nice job i loved it

  • this is AMAZING... i love it!!!

  • That would have been a pretty awesome opening sequence! :D

  • wow pretty cool, definitly could be the opening for the movie

  • You did it?(: wow(:

  • You are a genius Heather o.O

  • Amazing job! 5 stars. As always

  • Great job! I love the vintage look with the colors & flourishes. It represents a LOT of work!

  • Wow, it's gorgeous! I think it seems more like a closing-credits thing, though...but that's just my opinion. The flickering was a little extreme, and kind of distracting from the words/pictures...maybe if it were toned down a bit, if you understand what I'm saying? 'Cause...I don't. Lol. But overall, it's wonderful!

  • Amazing Wow this is beutiful and great

    5* from me ^^,

  • Amazing!!!!

  • man it could be... :-) without any doubts...

  • Oh wow that is wicked awesome! I love it a lot. It reminds me of the credits at the end of the Return of the King. You made this very nicely and I'm sure you probably got a good grade on it too. :)

  • Very pretty

  • Fantastic work!

Too bad you didn't add in Miss Georgiana Darcy... she was one of my favorite characters~

  • Its too bad that you didn't include Miss Caroline Bingley...

    Oh well, its still amazing!

  • Very impressive! :D

Like many others, Pride and Prejudice is my favorite movie/book... I especially adore the 2005 version with Keira and Matthew! <33

  • it's good

  • That's just fantastic!!!! Pride and Prejudice is my favorite movie and that just made me so happy! :D

  • That's a fantastic job, I know how much work that must have been, bravo!

  • I loved it. :)

  • Hi again heathdances... I just wanted to come back and say how nice it was to meet you when we went to see Matthew on stage in June and finally met him! :)

  • It was so nice meeting you too and of course Matthew!! I can't wait to come back to England! I loved it there!

  • Wow. That was amazing. I'm positive you got the best mark possible for this! I would have enjoyed that as the lead in sequence. Seriously, fantastic stuff you got here.

  • I liked it alot. The only thing I didn't like to much was the flickering 'candle'. It was a neat effect, but a little to much flickering in my opinon. Other wise it was absolutly amazing!

  • I love the idea of this, and the look and texture you gave the pictures. but I think the flicker, though a wonderful idea, is a little too strong, and in some of the credits it doesn't illuminate the "drawings" well enough. I could hardly see poor Tallulah! Otherwise, I love this opening. Well done!

  • Wow! Never seen anything like this! It really looks like a work of art-,AMAZING is all I can think of to say-it must of been alot of work, I can't believe what can be done nowadays

  • this is one of my all-time favorite movies. and i really liked this. greattt job. i loved how it just flowed right into the beginning of the movie. and so yeahh i could believe that this could actually have been the opening credits to the movie.

  • i see it better as the end credits.loving it.loving it!!!!

  • hey, love the vid. im a first year student in computer graphic design and real keen to get into stuff like this. just wandering, how long did it take you to make this?

  • Amazing!

  • It is GORGEOUS! The light flicker is a little too strong for me, but its such a clever idea! =] I loved it!

  • It could have easily been the opening title for P&P. Two thumbes up :)

  • I'm sure you got great grades with this project. It's terrific! =D Good job, missy!

  • I agree, this should so be the opening sequence of pride and prejudice! I loved it!

  • that's actually amazing! ahve that song on my ipod...

  • Just fantastic... So clever and yes indeed they shoud ahve def used as the opening sequence...

  • this is so great! why didn't they put this as an opening scene? it is brilliant you are so talented! :D

  • Thats brilliant!!! They should of hired you to do the opening title thing! Its better than the real one!

  • wow!!! You have a great talent! This is too good! :) Almost as if it was the actual opening title sequence to the movie... :)

  • wow. I kind of almost wish this was the opening to the movie. lol. good job!

  • wow....*stars in silence*. I don't honestly have a big enough vocabulary to describe how incedible this opening is. You should honestly go into a career of producing or directing or artwork or something. (sorry, because i'm so awed i've forgotten proper gramar)

  • Wow!! Thank you so much!!

  • GOOD JOB!!!

  • nice work

  • Speechless.

Can't think of anything adequate to say about how 'wow' this is... lol.

    Wow...

  • This is excellent!

  • oh wow!!

you are very talented, i love it!

  • It's amazing!!!!

    This is a great work

  • inspiring!!!

  • Amazing

  • that was so kool!!!!

  • This is so amazing...I totally would accept this as the opening to my favorite love story of ALL TIME! :-D

  • where did you get the graphics for it?? this is very good. i love your work!!

  • Thanks so much! I did the graphics all myself :)

  • its really good. the graphics are they on some software? or did you just for the class? i think this is the best thing though i have ever seen.

  • Wow! Thanks so much! I created each scene in photoshop and then put it into motion in After Effects. :)

  • thanks so much! keep up the great work

  • Excellent work man. Brilliant - The music is awesome as well.

  • Wow, that's brilliant!! It sure does look like a professional opening sequence...well done! :P

  • WOOOOOOOOOOW. This is so awesome. Beautifully done. Looks professional. Good job!

  • lovely, drop dead gorgeous, love the effects. I bet u got nice marks for this ;)

  • that was really amazing! :]

I would have been convinced it were an actual opening title sequence had I never watched the movie before. xD

  • bloody brilliant, that was! you're an excellent artist. i loved the end where the sketch "Pride and Prejudice" turns into the actual movie title. as i was watching it i actually thought that that would be a great way to ease into the movie and what do you know? you did it. fantastic job! :D

  • I love the opening moments of this wonderful film, and you have heightened them with a lovely and fitting title sequence. Absolutely beautiful work!!

  • Thank you so much!! Glad you liked it! :)

  • I love the opening moments of this wonderful film, and you have heightened them with a lovely and fitting title sequence. Absolutely beautiful work!!

  • This looks awesome. What program did you use? After Affects? Was the seketch effect built in to the program or did you have to acheive it someother way? I am in a motion class right now, kinda new to all this. Also how did you acheive the spirals?

  • Thanks! I use After Affects but put everything in Photoshop first! That is how I got the sketch look and the textured spirals that I created. :)

  • Absolutely beautiful. Awesome job. 5 stars.

  • I loved it.You have done a great job on all your videos. I am a big fan. Thanks for letting us see them all..Keep it up

  • OH MY GOOD GOD! At first I didn't completely read your description, and I thought this was the actual opening of P&P. But. You. Made. This. Just...wow. I can NEVER for the life of me make anything decent using Photoshop, but you've mastered it. I mean, I'm speechless. 8)

  • ha ha! I wish it was! That would be awesome! Thanks so much for saying that!! Wow what a great comment! You are so nice!! :)

  • Lol, you're welcome, you deserved that comment. But I'm SO mad, because the vid keeps stopping at 0:41. Darn computer...

  • Wow Heather, this was really well done... my only complaint (and keep in mind I have no background in or knowledge of this field) is that there is a bit too much flickering. It gives it a dizzy effect, but the font, the colors, and the motions are just gorgeous!

  • Thanks so much Kerry! I really appreciate the great comment! I think you might be right about the flickering. I have a little touching up to do here and there before I put it in my portfolio! :) I really appreciate the feedback! :)

  • That was beautifully done! just WOW!

  • wow this was awesome. i hope you got an A on it.

  • Thanks!! Yes I did! :)

  • Excellent! My only word, a wee bit too flicker-y in some parts, I loved the effect though!

  • Wonderful! Simply Beautiful!

  • it's really awesome !!

  • Wow..That was awesome..just watching the front gave me shivers lolz! I love ur videos Great Job!

  • Wow! Thanks so much!! I love yours too! :)

  • That was really good! I loved it...that would be so much better for the opening of "Pride and Prejudice"

  • He he THANKS! :)

  • this is beautiful! my favorite movie, too

    great job!

  • That was just amazing!!!! I think it's perfect!!!

  • That was AWESOME!!! :) I loved it!

  • Beautiful sequence! I also liked how the candlelight effect made it fit the time period of P&P. Very cool, great job!

  • Thanks!! :)

  • I LOVED IT!

It is awesome! good job! :)

  • OMG!!!! This would be PERFECT for opening credits Heather! You did a fanstasic job, and I loved the texture and lighting and the feel of it! It fits so well! Wonderful job as always! Love Lots *Caitlin*

  • he he Thanks!! That is very nice of you! I love your new video btw! :)

  • It's wonderful! Looks really professional =). Great choice of pictures, the flickering seems to match the tempo of the music and a very smooth transition! Loved it! =)

  • Thanks!! :)

  • This is fantastic!

  • Beautiful work Heathdances, they could've used it for the movie just like that.

  • Yes, it really is better than the real film title..wonderful, amazing, beautiful..everything nice you could possibly say!!! WELL DONE!

  • Wow! Thanks so much! :)

  • (thunderous applause rains down from the audience) and the award for best "opening title sequence?" goes to ---> Heather!

  • ha ha ha!! That is funny! Thanks so much!! :)

  • Very nice!!!It was stunningly beautiful(: I was watching it and wishing it should really be used for the opening scene! So this could easily be the opening. I loved the effects and everything!Wonderful job!

  • Thanks so much!!! I think I am going to send it in to Joe Wright and maybe I will get a response about it! :)

  • That's great! Be sure to tell us how it went! ;)

  • You did a amazing job!

  • An excellent work of animated title graphics... you should write to Joe Wright or Working Title films showing this as an example of your work.

  • my god, just wonderful!! better than the real film title! and perfectly done..brillia
