Dam!! Did you change the timing belt at one point in its life? I have a 2000 es 300 and i am worried about the timing belt since i have never swaped it out.
I had 96 Lexus ES300 too, that car is very strong, 3 months ago i got in accident and its totaled :( i300000 mils if u keep looking on it, my lexus was 123.000, no problems I got with engine and everything...
@Primer9 hey man i got 96 es300 got it when it was 190,000 and i am driving it since then now its 225,000 and and i just got my license and i am 17 and i am always racing and driving fast with it and never had a problem with it i think it will be good
@Primer9 hell yeah but man i have this problem when the road it empty i don't leave gas until it reaches 60 miles per hour lol but its a fun car at first i didn't like it but now i modified it little and then now i like it

Thats awesome! I just bought a 98 ES300 with the 3.0L has 192,000 miles on it runs and drives perfect never would think it had that many until you look at the odo. great cars!
I would really like to have the IS-300. Lexus has done thier homework. Over BMW or Merc... Mercedes is a joke now. I'd rather stick with Lexus because of their stamina and low costs on repairs in the long run...
Yes, the ES300 engine is a very calibrated engine design from Japan. Keep the oil changed and will run forever. I have 120K on mine and is running like new even with boost option that lexus added. I still outrun the new Dodge and Ford pickup trucks here on county roads. This engine was desigend for low end tork and has some horse power when it is selected to ejection boost. The gas economy goes down but is quite a little sportster on the red light to go.... Keep up with the oil changes...
I FEEL BETTER ABOUT BUYING ONE WITH 280000 ON THE DASH NOW LOL

my 99 is about to hit 200k in the next month or so, so this gives me some comfort in knowing that it probably will last quite a bit longer.
