Actually the Gallente are more closely related to France, there really isn't any "race" that resembles America except for the Caldari and that's just because of there battle doctrine and ship design.

i chose them because the nyx is my favorite ship in the game... I thought it was a battle ship at the time. wasn't aware it has severe limitations to how useful it is or how long it would take to get into one.

I noticed the lag in there. I had my first fleet battle today, and I'm not kidding you, the lag was truly impressive. You really don't know fun until you're in JitaX20.

Biggest fleet battle I've took part, involved about ~1000-1100 ships from both sides. Regular battles in my ally (Red Alliance) usually involves from 400 to 600 ships from both sides as well. So lags come along almost every big fleet battle))) Also your PC characteristic matters quite much - more productive machine means less lags, and you should have fast i-net connection too.

Depends on the point of view you look at the mega from.

Every ship has a purpose. The Mega is the king of in you grill, melting your face. The typhoon is a great support ship, it can be almost as effective in a universal role as a domi can. The only BS that is borked sort of is the tempest. It's not really strong in anything, but not really bad at anything either as long as the pilot knows what they are doing.

dude tempest is the best sniper ingame. can get a volley over 8k (biggest volley ingame), apoc can have more dps, but pest biggest volly which is the must important factor for a sniper imo.

Thanks, but actually it was much greater operation than taking down single POS. You see, our fleet was divided by ship class and certain points that different squads got as their objectives. So as I was on BS, I only were able to shoot BS squad, and I left behind the scene capital ships, BC, cruisers, and frigates, that was in great amount as well.

It's funny but this really does resemble some BSG shots from the initial miniseries.

I just wish, you know, the ships would actually attack something. If you've watched the movie Serenity, the scene where the Reaver fleet comes out of the nebula and gets pounded by missiles would have been great to copy here.

EVE Combat is mostly based around individual fleet & ship setup, as well as general knowledge of the game and quick decision-making.

Unfortunately, in recent times, lag also is taken into account.

Steam has a 21 day trial. Try it out as see if u like it. It only lags when like 1000+ people are in the same area. If/when you try out ensure u join a corporation otherwise the game will seem silly and tedious.

No you can't use a Joystick. If you knew eve, you'd know it sucks. This isn't a twitch fighter, your guns are not lined with your ship. Lag would make it really hard anyway.

It does irritate me when people don't want to play eve because they can't use a joystick, and they haven't even tried it. Seriously, try a game before you decide which control scheme is best.

Oi, before you judge me. I DO have the game now and I love it, just was curious if it SUPPORTED joystick, besides: "Twitch Fighting" doesnt work in anything smaller then a fighter anyhow :D

It's cool when you watching the video, which was made of best scenes, but actually it are not so nice as it might seems. Lags during big battles, staying for hours on gate waiting for the enemies and lot more such moments. In fact PvP in eve is not so awesome, not so exciting as it may seems from beautiful videos. But it really costs that price to take part in it.

In the battles with lots ships involved usually appears both server and FPS lags, so if u even have powerful PC you not completely safe of lags. But in ordinary PvP near 50 vs 50 players there are no lags at all.
