You look fantastic! Impressive skill, flexibility and musicality... not to mention your great looking assets at 2:30! U r dressed to impress huni:) Helluva job
Thanks for this comment. But I'm not approving the other comment as I think that commenting negatively on the size of the dancer doesn't really do any good to support the community. The more you watch pole on YT the more you'll see dancers of all shapes and sizes. I know beautiful and amazingly talented dancers that the rest of the world would say are too heavy for pole. What's amazing about pole is it's unique ability to make women of ALL shapes and sizes feel comfortable in their own skin. :)
Well I wasn't in it to compete, so I can't say really. I had fun, and that was what I went to do I guess! I would say that for my level I was good (int 3 at the time), but the overall competition was for all students from all levels, so you had advanced girls up against beginners... a bit hard to compete against, so I just go in them now as a performance, not a competitor, just for the kicks of performing. :D They really should start doing more showcases rather than a comp once a year!
Hi Bree! I love both of your videos. :) You have such a graceful, fluid style. It is fun to see the contrast: Sass and flare in this video and a balletic softness your other one. I hope to see more of your videos soon! Big Hug - Lori
Loved it!!! We need a place like that around here! Someplace to just pole without having to take off clothes and a place with no creepy guys!! LOL A+ girl!! xoxoxo
it was held at Dancer's Cabaret in King's Cross. A couple times a year the studio takes over and they shut the club to the public so that we can have use of the poles for our competitions. it's pretty fun. :D
oh amazing! i want to do that too, but im not as good as you, i cant really go upside down yet, i freak out that im going to fall on my face!how do i find out about these competitions!
sorry! just saw this! i'm sure you'll get there eventually, just practice!! :D for the comps usually it's just kinda advertized at the studio, not sure if you have to be a bobbi's student for these or not. there are local comps like the Pier Hotel and Northies, plus some others, which anyone can compete in. do you train at a studio?
I liked how you took your time which brought out even more the beautiful poses, spins and transitions. Just by watching you can tell you were enjoying your body :))You owned the song.
Nice routine. Did you already know about the two pole set up and plan that--or were the moves from pole to pole planned. It looked like the left was spinny and the right maybe static (?) It's a nice set-up and I like the way you were "on the prowl" from pole to pole--especially the floor to pole headstand mount arouind the middle. And all your spinny inverts were beautiful! Nice performance.
yeah, i knew from last year the approximate distance between the poles, but the stationary pole on the right was a surprise... last year they were both spinny, although one spun more than the other. i choreographed it at home and had to rearrange it a bit when i got there and actually figured out which pole spun more. so there was only one move that should have been on the spinner which i missed and went to the stationary by mistake... oops!! oh well! thanks for the comment! much appreciated!
