I'm pretty sure that Trigun collection you got there is a bootleg. Because I have a similarly packaged set, with the same layout of three disks, great artwork, and it all folds up with a clear plastic cover; but it's of a different series called "Gokudo." And if you look on the back, your Trigun set probably has no logo or label or name of the company that made the set. Because I looked on mine and there's no mention of the production company either. So most likely, these are both bootlegs
@FilmmakerJ yea someone already told me. No big deal, the quality of the discs and episodes are perfect, so there really is no need for me to go out and waste $40-50 on another set. I bought it thinking it was legit, so I didn't do anything wrong by buying a bootleg copy.
Well that sucks, you got the better end of the deal then. Cause with my bootleg of "Gokudo," the video quality is worse than a 240p video here on youtube. Like they didn't use the right DVDs, so they couldn't pack 8 episodes on each disk without reducing the quality by 50%.
But I agree, it's better to just stick with it for now. Although they just came out with a new Trigun release that nice and compact. With Gokudo, I'd have to buy the singles if I wanted better quality
@ANIME121ADDICT ooh its hard to say, its been years since i watched it last and honestly I dont remember a thing about it. I can say there hasn't ever really been an anime series i bought that i didn't like, except for maybe that girly one I didn't finish watching Sister Princess.
Trigun is a bootleg, that was a popular bootleg set back in the day, you can tell its bootleg because pioneer or geneon names are not on the box and its region free. Official dvd realeses should be regioned locked for the most part. Trigun never got a official realease in a box like that with a clear slipcover, that packaging is popular for bootlegs too. Also do not download illegally, that hurts the anime buisness and helps add to the decline of the anime buisness.
@PaintandFreckles yea I released after watching a different video that it was in fact one because of the logo that was on the box, however even though it was a bootleg. I bought it legit from Gamestop, not some second hand questionable location, so It really was not my fault, so yea i may not be supporting the company but i thought it was realy when I bought it. I think I paid like $30 for it as well. As far as downloading i only partially agree with you. i buy all the anime I like, so I support
@thedockboons Thanks, I really only stick to buy the very best that I watch now so I don't get many new one's that often anymore. Plus usually the price of the better and longer series are higher.
@Maricksage I believe its Sister Princess, its about some guy who goes to live on an island and finds out he has 12 sisters. I never actually watched it, I think I maybe saw 1 or 2 episodes of it.
nice collection.. makes mine look completely noob.. lol.. i've got a lot of movies more than series.. a couple series stuck out with me.. of course the ghost in shell series but one i have that i really enjoyed was gunslinger girl.. prolly my fav movie, aside from the cliche Akira and Ninja Scroll (both were EXCELLENT) was an obscure movie called Demon City Shinjuku.. for some reason i loved it... maybe cause i first watched it when i was younger and it stuck with me.. lol
