Although I didn't speak Chinese at all,  I still found beauty and meaning through the Four Treasures and have since started to learn to speak Mandarin as well. In der Stille der Nacht

Ich vernehme ein helles Mondlicht vor meinem Bett,

ich nehme an, das er der alte Schnee auf dem Boden ist,

Als ich meinen Kopf neige, betrachte ich den hellen Mond,

Und als ich mich wieder rüber beuge, sehne ich mich noch mehr nach meiner Heimat
