Joseph king of dreams and the prince of egypt were two of my favorite movies growing up. oh and veggitales. :] my grandmother had almost the entire collection. lol.
un-fucking-believable!!!!! just flawlessly sets the mood to be going into battle with a worthy adversary for the great Good of humanity, carrying with you the conviction of what is right and just.
This was my favorite piece of music from the film and my favorite scene. I consider myself a non-religious person, I always have, and always will be but that is still one of my favorite movies of all time.. and that scene where he meet's God... I just cry like crazy everytime.. It is just too beautiful and pure :)
It is just a very great told story and every emotion in it is so real it just have to affect you in some way. Pretty much like the Lion King.. which too was based on Moses' story ;)
@ururugi I saw a documentary once where some of the creators of Lion King said that they based it on the story of Moses. I guess it's on the bonus material of the Lion King DVD... maybe I'm wrong. I just remember how they said that Simbas meeting with his father in the field was their version of the burning bush.
Hands down my most favorite composition in this film. Of any film, really. It really stirs something deep within my core. Hans Zimmer is a weaver of magic. He knows exactly where to tug at our emotions through his spellbinding music. A pure genius....
This movie is great. I like "The Ten Commandments" as well because it is more detialed and historically accurate, and most importantly Biblically accurate. Which history and the Bible should go hand in hand, but people change history all the time, so that is another discussion all together.
I love it at 3:30 when hes God lifts Moses up and it amazes him and at 4:46 when he runs to tel Tzipporah about what happened with excitement. It just makes me wanna cry. i remember as a little kid I would go to my babysitter and we would watch this movie a lot. And it was so special in her house idk why it was like you were there. You felt the Lord with you and Moses I just love this movie and songs and this(:and in 6:07 when hes riding on the camel with Tzipporah.
I had this song running through my head, seemingly out of nowhere, today and it's funny because I haven't watched the Prince of Egypt for a long time but there it was, this song playing in my head! So, even though I had no idea what movie this theme was from I Googled it and after a little while I found this. What an amazing, gorgeous piece of music!! Hans Zimmer, of course...who else? :)
The God of Wonders, the Morning Star, the Fist and the Last, the Way, the Truth, and the Life...people who believe, we follow him because we KNOW him. To know God is to be intimate with him, and that is why we worship. To become closer. It is a love that transcends anything that can be mortally understood; it is beauty beyond fathoming. And yet it is LIVABLE through Him! He IS love! Isn't that incredible? What can we compare to such a tender mercy, such breathtaking power?
I wasn't expecting this scene at all in the film, i didn't know it was going to be so intense, the conversation between god and moses, the must is the best and i cry almost everytime i see/listen to it.
Whatever you believe, it doesn't matter. A central base for searching for truth, respect for fellow men, etc keeps it real.
Enlightenment is what I think when I hear this song. Even if you don't believe in a higher being, there is something out there in human nature that keeps us moving forward to the new.
i'm not christian. nor do i really follow much about religion. but when i hear this song i always feel the entire world is expanding and that there is so much love in it. so maybe for me god is the feeling of pure, sometimes messy, sometimes innocent love. and i think i'm ok with that. :-)
Dear Ethernal and Creator of the Universe, please, help my country and my people, please, help us, it listen my pray, see my tears, deliver us to the slavery of this corruption, please, deliver us, please listen my pray, see my tears... amen
I wish God still made this big Miracles happen, I mean he still makes miracles happen, but not as big. Like this one time my Gran was diagnosed with Heart disease, she prayed to God asking him to give her another chance because before she was very..selfish. Then she promised she'll change and hellp others as much as she can, And then a month later the disease went away. Shes healthy now. And she helps everyone and does nothing but give.
this is probably one of the most inspiring movies ive ever seen. i never get tired of it and the music is really soothing to me. im only 14 and i can relate to the morals in the book of exodus, my favorite book in the Bible.

Historically, Jews were one of the workers/slaves of Egypt.... by potraying they build pyramids is highly innacurate.
Love Moses (peace be upon him) who worked in the way of the ONE against the arrogant Pharoah !!!
