  • the country with the most jews lol

  • She is hilarious. I just love her.

  • you know she's a fucking boss, she just signed in as LUCY. lol

  • Her shirt is .... mesmerizing.

  • Just lovely....

  • I adore this woman. We could live on this Earth for a million yrs and not once would you see someone of her caliber. She to me was the chosen true comedian of all time. I look forward to meeting her and shaking her hand and thanking her for being such a great entertainer when I die and go back Home.

  • Wow she aged so gracefully! She is hilarious, a born comedian! :) Love you lucy. ♥

  • lmao at her eyes when they ask if she's a male!!! You tell him Lucy!

  • The "Women from Mars" episode of "I Love Lucy" 's thired season, is not one of my favorites. My favorite episodes are in the 4th, 5th, and 6th seasons: where they're traveling and then move to Connecticutt.

  • "Are you a man?" "Mostly, no," Ha, she cracks me up!

  • She was such an A-1 class act. If you notice, whenever she was the mystery guest on WML, she would always make it a point to turn and salute the audience as she was leaving the stage. She definitely knew who she owed her fame to--her fans--and she always made them feel special!

  • she looks so pretty

  • They should have had that big, scary Lucy doll sign in.

  • Lucy was the best. There was no comparison!

  • I LOVE LUCY! A beautiful talented Lady, So funny!

  • Lucy gives a whole new meaning to the word Legend.. The audience went wild when she walked on.. Lucille Ball was one of the first True performers to be known only by their first name. Judy and Liza also are in that rare category.. Great clip!

  • LUCILLE IS FABULOUS. VERY GOOD HUMOR TO SEE TODAY.. JUDA59ful

  • Around 1978 I was on Beverly Blvd one evening and Lucy was standing outside Chasen's waiting for her driver. I pulled over and got out of my VW and walked back. There were about 15 people standing around the Beverly entrance, not a single person was talking, everyone who was standing there was simply looking at her and admiring her. She was standing like a queen, and we were her subjects. After a minute or two her car drove up and she got in and off she went.

  • thank u very much

  • i prefer her to the 50s than the 60s

  • i love lucy's reaction when she was asked "are you a male?"

  • Notice at the end of the clip when Lucy makes her exit how the gentlemen stand and the ladies remain seated.. These days of respectfulness towards others need to be revisited and embraced with this 'proper' behavior! This is what I remember growing up in the 60's.

  • @FiveStarPoolMgmtHB I've been watching a lot of these clips from this show and I've notice how everyone seems classier. They pronounce words clearly, they're well dressed but still sexy, and there's no sexual innuendo. I can't remember the last time a show on prime time didn't contain sex, drugs, and profanity. It's really irritating the more I think about it and I was born in the 90's.

  • Haha I love how she doesn't even have to write "Lucille Ball". "LUCY". BAM. lol

  • Love the voice on Lucy. Great. Very classy the way Luct turns to everyone at the end.

  • Love the voice on Lucy. Great.

  • Her skin is flawless and not a sag on her face to be seen. Someone said she had had a lift before this though! She does look very beautiful and natural to me though.

  • @calalilygirl Lucille Ball said she had a fear of surgery and didnt have a face lift. They did have little tricks like getting double sided tape to pull back the skin to make it appear smoother.. Even Lucy's children have gone on record saying that She never had Plastic surgery so what we see is the real lucy.. :)

  • Lucy actually did start to show her age in the 1980's.

  • @PitterPatty One of the most beautiful sightings of Lucy for sure.

  • She is pretty. Her voice got deeper in the 60s. She had a high voice in the 50s.

  • Love her eyes at 1:24

  • @PitterPatty Me and "mostly" hilarious.

  • Gorgeous!

  • A Lucy Memory-- I grew up in Los Angeles, and in the late '60's or early 70's, my mother was driving my friend and I through Beverly Hills in our family station wagon. Suddenly alongside us was Lucy in her Rolls Royce! My friend and I started screaming and carrying on like crazy. Lucy was obviously tickled and delighted by our reaction and smiled and gave us a wave.

  • 1:17 Woody Woodpecker laugh!

  • i love lucy!!!!!!

  • She was so talented !!! Awesome Lady!!

  • Lucy looks so beautiful here. Fantastic clip.

  • People always say that Lucille Ball wasnt funny without a script (and Lucy always said this herself, mostly because of what a modest person she was... she never thought of herself as "a star", and plus she loved her writers), but I dare them to watch this and see for themselves. Some celebrities (no offense, of course) used to run from the show the moment the panel figured it out. But Lucy is just so charming and natural, and I love how the applause freaks out for her. That's why we <3 Lucy.

  • "Are you a dazzling redhead?" "No." lmao

  • She always claimed that she herself wasn't funny, that it was just the writers who were funny, but I laughed out loud during this!! 'Are you a man?' 'MOOustly..no' hahaha. And how elegant is she!!! She moves like a dancer, floating. (The chiffon helps ;)) And I love how she simply signs her first name. Wonderful lady.

  • @PitterPatty she was always beautiful!

  • absolutely adore her <3

  • @PitterPatty mostly, yes.

  • I've never met a single person that has ever hated her or her show. she's amazing!

  • HAPPY 100TH BIRTHDAY ♥ LUCY ♥

  • @PitterPatty OH YES SHE DOES! <3

  • most likely the most beloved American performer of all-time

  • @scotnick59 Well said )

  • @scotnick59 Even more than Bob Hope? hehe

  • In the 50's, it was no crime to look as though you drank and smoked a good deal... (-;

  • that laugh sounds like woody woodpecker. XD lol

  • Are you a Male ?! OHH GOD LMFAO! xDDD

  • She does look beautiful here. Glowing.

  • i love that she kisses only the women at the end haha i love Lucy!

  • 1:24 LOL!!!

  • That's her "Women From Mars" voice! I'd recognize it anywhere. Lol.

  • her hair looks best like this

  • classy how she acknowledges the audience

  • My grandma acts just like that.

  • Lol she is fuckin funny:)

  • she looks like a beauty pageant contestant in her evenin gown

  • Stunning indeed. So tall for her generation and what a pair of legs! But she was a tough cookie, not a leggy bimbo, and so her film career probably stalled as a result. Still love her in the Marx Brothers' film Room Service.

  • well she did answer truthfully about being a red head

  • "Are you a man?" "Mostly, no." LMFAO =)) She's hilarious!!!

  • Lucy is GORGEOUS! She is gracious and has a winning smile! She really was and still is LOVED! A RARE LIVING LEGEND!

  • Three words... I LOVE LUCY!

  • Most beautiful woman ever!

  • Lucy and I have the same birthday! It's a shame she died the year before I was born. If we knew eachother, even for a little while during the 90's, we could've celebrated our birthday's together <3 I hope TCM dedicates the month of August to Lucille Ball next year (and the month of July to Ginger Rogers). They have "Star of the month" and both Lucy and Ginger would've been 100 years old next year!

  • @chilvari Lucille Ball shares my birthday as well. She is the Queen of physical comedy.

  • I Love Lucy....Who wouldn't?!

  • Ever graceful Lucille Ball, bowing to her audience at the end.

  • WEEEEEEEEEEEE LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE LUCYYYYYYYYYYYY....STILL!

    R.I.P. America's Redhead Miss Lucille Ball 1911-1989 <3

  • what year was this produced?

  • This "vast wasteland" looks more like a lush pristine forest

  • I love her - she's so funny

  • i love it when she says no after the question 'are you a dazzling redhead?' and then she looks at him like wat the crap did i do?!

  • She began as one of the most New York City fashion models in print, appearing in countless ads, particularly hats. Here you can see exactly why.

  • the show was best when lucy was on it. :)

  • Classic! I'm so thankful for my older generation!

  • I love lucy!!!!

  • This aired in March 1965

  • I love her dress. It's beautiful. Classy. Like her.

  • It was so much better when the movie stars would dress like movie stars! Not in torn jeans and Tshirt like they do today! (At $20M a picture, they can afford it!)

  • In regards to Lucy's appearance on this show..what year was it?

  • A dazzling redhead indeed!

  • this is probably my favorite clip from the show. she cracks me up.

  • love the woody woodpecker..it seemed so pontanious,,and natural...

  • Lucy is gor-ge-ous, and is "forever darling"

  • The funniest woman in the history of the world!

  • Mostly no lol. Lucy was a super-fantastic woman!

  • I liked her better before 1960.

  • Are you a male? Mostly no. My god! The timing! her gift was breathtaking. 1:27.

  • I loved this clip! Who doesn't love Lucy? I was an Air Force brat and had the opportunity to meet many famous people via the USO shows. She was one star I remember meeting! I was lucky to have met many famous people. Thanks for posting this.

  • @PitterPatty you are mostly right! :)

  • Arlene: Are you a dazzling redhead?

    Lucy: No!

    LOL!!!!!

  • @markedwardindc If you saw some of her first movies, you'd realize that No is the correct answer.

  • @shoredude2 Oh, yes, I know -- that is what makes the lines so funny! Lucy wasn't a true redhead, and she knew it and was honest about it! LOL!

  • @markedwardindc Desi had a great line when there were questions about Lucy being a Communist (Her grandfather asked her to register as one back in the 1930s): "The only thing red about Lucy is her hair, and even that's not legitimate."

  • @LoveAnna13 Woody Woodpecker - it was the first reaction of my brother!!! Exactly! :-)

  • Arlene Frances looks so elegant!

  • Lucy seemed to be pretty tall :-)

  • @Etheline heals

  • @ReadMyCommentBitch :-D :-D :-D Good answer, but the heals weren't too extreme and e.g. Bette Davis or Joan Crawford or Liz Taylor certainly had heals too and weren't so tall... but it doesn't matter, it was just a tiny notice :-)

  • Yes she is beautiful...and extremely talented. I have the whole "Lucille Ball" series on DVD. Worth every penny!

    Pam

  • 50-60 years later she can still make people laugh.

  • Welk jaar was dit ?

  • She is the best of all times. No one holds a candle to her talent, maybe Carol Burnett comes close

  • Lucille Ball was the best mystery guest this show ever had! I also liked when Eve Arden was on.

  • Such a lady and such a humour! Such a unique woman! YAY I'm soooo happy I've discovered Lucille Ball. Love from Lucie (that's me :-D )

  • Lucy Ball was a very beautiful woman. That fact is sometimes forgotten due to her zany performances. I wish I had the chance to meet Lucy. While a great clown, Lucy as also per this clip shows quite a Lady. A beautiful Lady. While Garbo, Stanwyck, Bette etc all were bigger movie stars it was Ms Ball not any of the golden age stars who rose to be the CEO of a great studio Desilu that produced

Mission Impossible, Star Trek, Lucy Show, Mannix and her smash hi

Yours Mine and Ours. Quite a Lady!

  • Wow Lucy looks great here. I love Lucy and Desi :-)

  • The Official Second Season of Lucille Ball's second series The Lucy Show, is coming to DVD on July 13, 2010! If you haven't seen the Lucy show it is so funny! And the second season co-stars Vivian Vance(Ethel)! Also it's in Color!

  • She's so gorgeous. Always so classy and great! Love herrrrr ♥

  • @misswings83 hahah sweetie!!!! i sooo agree with u!!!! :DDD <3

  • What a fabulous, gorgeous creature she was.

  • @PitterPatty Absolutely

  • I've loved Lucy since I was 5 years old and now I'm 19 and I love her even more. I've read nearly all the books written about her as well as her autobiography, "Love, Lucy". I've seen ever episode of "I Love Lucy" and nearly all her other shows. I wished she was still alive. I would've loved to have met her.

  • god damn i love her. she was awesome plus absolutely gergeous!

  • are you a male? ha ha mostly no :)

  • She looks DROP DEAD GORGEOUS HERE FOLKS !!!!! She aged gracefully and I wish I look like that when I get to that age.

  • I was thinking that before I read this... !!!

  • lol!! just great...

  • weightfeather1, Face-lift/plastic surgery was sort of new in the 1950's-1960's

and the old Hollywood stars did not really get in to it.. e.i: Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Lucille Ball.. they just took care of their slim figures..

  • Interesting. What's the source?

  • Lucy was looking especially Beautiful in the episode. The last appearance was shortly after she started doing WILDCAT on B'Way. She had a face lift since then and looks sensational. These Hollywood stars today should take notice and find surgeons who will do them justice and keep their looks and not ruin them. Roseanne, Joan Rivers Joan Van Ark etc. with all their money u woudl think they woudl have found a true artist in Plastic surgery. Good Love ya Lucy! I too donate to Easter Seals too

  • @NFitalianGuy Interesting about the face lift remark. According to Tom Gilbert, co-author of the book, DESILU, Lucy never had any work done. Tom told me this personally.

  • @NFitalianGuy Yes she really was especially beautiful here.

  • Lucy never had a face lift. Where did you ever get that idea? She used tape sometimes under wigs to lift her face and that was it.

  • Gotcha.

  • Actually, she referenced meeting President Johnson, so this must have been after 1963.

  • I love the Laugh! Lucy is such a star - the best!

  • was she and desi still married at this time?

  • no. the orig i love lucy came to a sreeching hault in about 1958 or so due to directly their pending divorce. after a few yrs of doing nothing. she came back with vivan vance in the lucy show.

  • I would hardly call 6 seasons a "screeching" halt.

  • "Are you a male?"

    "Mostly, no."

That was great! She was so great.

  • She was the best! And her expression when she's asked if she's a man is priceless!

  • the dress suited her well n she was very gracious at all times..

  • she was getting older at this point

  • mostly!! lmao

  • isn't she the greatest none can compare and look how georgous she looks!

  • @kittyprison Lucy looks extremely pretty here and younger than she did in the last period of I Love Lucy. She seems very happy.

  • She's the greatest comedienne of the 20th century. I hope somebody comes along to rival her, but I very much doubt it.

  • Where the hell is Bennett Cerf ?!?!

  • hes such a gem - ive said that b4 but ill keep on saying it lol

  • -are you a male

    [wide eyes]

    -mostly no

    hahahaha!!!

there will never be another lucille ball. never. one of a kind amazing woman.

  • Yes, not only was she the greatest female comedian, she said yes to Star Trek, and I'm a Trek fan, and she was cute! R.I.P. First Lady of Television!

  • I Love Lucy, she looks so young here, God Bless her!

  • arlene is killing that dress!!

  • Is that a good thing?

Ahahaha because I think she looks damn good.

  • Yes ! Funny about language. Some people may read that to mean she is ruining the dress--- but in my opionion, she is" WEARING IT" !!!

  • YEahh okay.

Like when people say thats "bad."

Like in the sense of hardcore, or sick.

    Its all weird.

  • Yes! Which is why it's best to speak in a form of standardised English so that we can comminicate with and to each other for consistancy (and to learn how to spell ) LOL), So I will say sucinkly ( see ! i told you about the spelling ) Miss francis looks both elegant and gracious and in total command of all the benefits that her many talents have afforded her. So there benet sirf. !! My elequence is slamming too ! I had to get that last bit of slang in there.!!

  • Hahahaha. What a lovely way to put it.

I like the way you worded the "in total command of all the benefits that her many talents have afforded her."

I couldn't of said it any better.

  • That was just a nice way of saying that Miss Francis no doubt received a lot of flack from people who make snide remarks about how during a time or more releaxed fashions, she always maintained the elegance of her worth. She worked hard on Broadway and in films and here on televison and was part of the arts and culture of most of the East Coast society scenes.. In short, "if you got it- wear it, and she did and she did it well. continueing up into her death.

  • Much like jacqueline kennedy; but without. the scandals.

  • Very true. She was very classy and elegant.

I always love watching these shows because she always has the prettiest clothes. Its alittle bonus to her wonderful charm and wit!

  • and she didn't need a stylist or someone hired to help sell her image, she was how she presented herself, critics may have considered them affectations, but in reality she believed and lived the image that she created for herself. There were no conflicts in how she appeared. When she left the studio she was still Miss Arlene Francis. on the streets;; in a restaurant-- for an interview. there was nothing to turn off or on, no fears that something would slip.Always The Lady. the only way to live.

  • @CarlyIsAGangster My mother told me years ago that Lucy always wore beautiful clothes.

  • @CarlyIsAGangster I realize now you were likely talking about Arlene, but the comment is just as true for her as well.

  • @calalilygirl It's all good.

Hahaha either way, both are gorgeous, classy women!

  • Lucy looks years younger here than her previous appearance on What's my Line? People don't realize. Lucy, as head of Desilu, said yes to Star Trek, whereas every other studio said no. In other words, Star Trek went into production because of Lucille Ball. One of our most gifted comediennes.

  • I love Her Greatest Female T.V Comedian!

    R.I.P Lucy....

  • "Are you a male?" - HAHA THE LOOK ON HER FACE!

  • hilarious!!!

  • I am glad I have!! I am fifteen , she is the greatest!
