You're all stark raving bonkers, you know. I just re-watched the 'telling' scene in Journey's End, the bit where she's on the phone and the ring glistens in the light. Here's the problem:
The Master's ring was round, Donna's ring is oval shaped.
The Master's Ring had a flat, dark stone with a metal (gold?) inlaid design on it. Donna's ring is a plain (and somewhat gaudy), faceted white or clear stone with no inlay. Not saying it she couldn't be The Rani, but the ring isn't really evidence.
The ring flashing was just the lighting rigs they use for the shot. if you look at Donna's ring and The Masters they are nothing alike. Also how would Donna know about The Master and when and where The Doctor was burning his body? Plus if she was a Timelord(lady) The Doctor would have sensed it. Donna Noble is just Donna Noble nothing more nothing less.
The hand that picked up the ring at the end of "Last of the Timelords" IS NOT Donna's...The 'shape' of them is all wrong, plus, Donna's nail varnish changes colours during the series. I think at one point she ISN'T wearing any...Just think, please?
As for the ring sparkle, have you ever heard of stage lighting? The 'sparkle' is prob'ly just an accident of filming by the camera crew and not caught in post editing...
that would support my theory of the Donna/Romana even though the master was shot in series 3 his ring might not have been picked up until after series 4 just because it's put at the end of series 3 doesn't mean it's there chronologically
i dont know completly who is the rani but what i know is: she's a timelord, she had (back then) a own TARDIS and she has something to do with the Master (so the both bad and timelords) so maybe the rani and the Master both apear. Oh and it seems that donna has taken the ring from the master so might she is the Rani (yeah she also got drums in her head)
The Rani is/was an evil Time Lady who was obsessed with unethical scientific experiments, and it is possible she was once in some sort of relationship with the Doctor. It is unknown if she survived the Time War.
if it was that could mean that donna with the doctor sometime between Partners in crime and turn left might have gone back there by accident and Donna could have picked the ring up because she wasn't wearing it at the beginning of the series then she was at the end
but it might be that donna has 2 different sides to her rings blacked out=donnas in complete control the ring isn't blacked out but its not shining=halfway and shining=rani in total control
I'm still playing catch up, and I'm not sure where I am on this issue. Nonetheless, I wanted to comment that on the epi that the ring was picked up (I don't recall that bit) I think it was the master's "girlfriend." If you watch it, she's very pale, and has bright red fingernails. It would make sense, too, in the scheme of things, 'cuz she appeared more than a little off her rocker at the end of the show...
Okay, the beat was the Doctor's heartbeat, so that is ruled out. As far as that ring goes, we've seen that ring, thousands of times. It's just her big green ring. I love Donna, but I highly doubt she's the Rani. There's just not enough evidence.

The Master's Ring had a flat, dark stone with a metal (gold?) inlaid design on it. Donna's ring is a plain (and somewhat gaudy), faceted white or clear stone with no inlay. Not saying it she couldn't be The Rani, but the ring isn't really evidence.

The ring flashing was just the lighting rigs they use for the shot. if you look at Donna's ring and The Masters they are nothing alike. Also how would Donna know about The Master and when and where The Doctor was burning his body? Plus if she was a Timelord(lady) The Doctor would have sensed it. Donna Noble is just Donna Noble nothing more nothing less.

The hand that picked up the ring at the end of "Last of the Timelords" IS NOT Donna's...The 'shape' of them is all wrong, plus, Donna's nail varnish changes colours during the series. I think at one point she ISN'T wearing any...Just think, please?
As for the ring sparkle, have you ever heard of stage lighting? The 'sparkle' is prob'ly just an accident of filming by the camera crew and not caught in post editing...
Just think about it for a sec...

that would support my theory of the Donna/Romana even though the master was shot in series 3 his ring might not have been picked up until after series 4 just because it's put at the end of series 3 doesn't mean it's there chronologically

i dont know completly who is the rani but what i know is: she's a timelord, she had (back then) a own TARDIS and she has something to do with the Master (so the both bad and timelords) so maybe the rani and the Master both apear. Oh and it seems that donna has taken the ring from the master so might she is the Rani (yeah she also got drums in her head)

The Rani is/was an evil Time Lady who was obsessed with unethical scientific experiments, and it is possible she was once in some sort of relationship with the Doctor. It is unknown if she survived the Time War.

I'm still playing catch up, and I'm not sure where I am on this issue. Nonetheless, I wanted to comment that on the epi that the ring was picked up (I don't recall that bit) I think it was the master's "girlfriend." If you watch it, she's very pale, and has bright red fingernails. It would make sense, too, in the scheme of things, 'cuz she appeared more than a little off her rocker at the end of the show...

Okay, the beat was the Doctor's heartbeat, so that is ruled out. As far as that ring goes, we've seen that ring, thousands of times. It's just her big green ring. I love Donna, but I highly doubt she's the Rani. There's just not enough evidence.
