I believe that this video show me it is important to use a wide variety of strategies to help ELL kids. If we only employ one or two methods we are not likely to get great results. However if we use many different strategies, we will reach more kids at a greater level as well.

Two of these strategies, non-verbal communication and modeling, are things that I have found to be extremely effective in the classroom.
