You have to be honest, starting with yourself! Trying to improve your emotional intelligence might sound simple and easy, but in reality it is as hard as it can be!! Couple weeks ago I stumbled upon the movie “Discover the Gift”. In this movie they talk about the idea of finding what it is that you have to offer to the world for a better understanding about yourself. I thought it was great!! You’ll love it!! Interesting how an a man with an arabic name, and a spanish accent can expound on a very inclusive subject such as emotional intelligence and tie it into the history of commerce! Very deep!
The fascination for me is how we use how emotions to gage how we feel, how we communicate how feeling with not only ourselves but with others. Without emotions we would be no more than moving thinking entities with the inability to express. Imagine having to communicate with someone without an essence of self - you would not be around them for long. Unless you had no emotions yourself then it would really make no difference. You'd be more robotic just using pure intellect. NO JOKE. :-)
