  • Mines could record but it doesnt record cleanly or clearly

  • Hello! I just got one question.

I currently got the wires and components I need in order to do direct recording right from my guitar to my computer. It does work, but when I try to go to FX for the Shred Amp Simulation, it says that it doesn't allow audio more than 48,000... Please help :)

  • can i record with my microphone too? or do i need some adapter or something?

  • good job!! we are going 2 buy this software!! SO MUCH HELP!!

    ~Cryztal Clear Band

  • wow for phasing

  • But what if I want to harmonize the guitar track? Than I cant record 2 tracks at once because they need to be different. And can you give me the advice on quad tracking 2 guitars, do I need to record all 4 tracks by myself or I can use your way and record it in two pairs and than pan them right and left for example L100 L75 - R75 R100

  • @666Scissor Yes for harmonies you will need to record separately. For quad guitars you probably should only record two, then double them and then pan the main two hard right/left and the other two 50-70% right/left. If you record 4 different tracks it might get messy sounding, but it's not a rule..just practice caution with it.

  • where do you get all your effects from?

  • I record music with a classical nylon guitar how do I make the appropriate effects like EQ,compression, reverbs? I know how to include effects but I do not know how to make it better and get the best out of it! hope you reply

  • hey acoustica222. quick question. if i want to record one my songs. do i just record the rythym part, then lead?? i know that's sort of a dumb question but i am new to this recording thin and don't know. plz respond. thanks

  • this is not a stereo recording. this is doubling a mono source. cool video tho

  • Man, you can just duplicate the track and have the same exact effect...

  • how can get that stereo acoustica sound like "3doorsdown-here without you"???

  • hello! I have the same ' mixcraft' that this in the video, but does not have same the effects,So that? mine has less, is mixcraft 5,1 149 #. Queria to perhaps know, can be unloaded of some side the Fx. thanks greetings from Argentinean.

  • @Nenederosaa1 Mixcraft will use just about any 3rd party plugin/effect you want to use with it. Either in VST or DirectX formats. What you are seeing are simply the 3rd party VST effects I have on my computer.

  • wow, your really good :)

    whats your amp/guitar setup :P

  • @VolczMusic Thanks! In this particular setup I am not using an amp, it's just the guitar plugged into the audio interface, using the Shred plugin as an amp.

  • @666gravity You don't want to remove it, you want to get it recorded without the hum in the first place. Figure out what is humming, is your guitar amp humming? If so, put a ground lift on its AC plug and see if that helps. If you are using a laptop, try recording on battery power since a lot of laptop power supplies are not grounded, and can cause a hum.

  • When I record this clean riff I wrote, it sound like total junk (no effects at all) it doesnt even sound like its clean, it sound somewhat distorted, its somewhat like the Enter Sandman intro riff to let you know what the riff is composed like, its just a ton of fuzz with the notes hardly hearable

  • @ArtificialFlavaFTB2 You might have something connected wrong or maybe the level is too high or too low when being recorded?

  • @acoustica222 When you say the level is too high or low, how do i change this?

  • @ArtificialFlavaFTB2 Meaning, if you are recording a guitar amp for example, if the level is too low on the amp, you then record a weak signal, which turns into noise and hiss when you try too raise it up within Mixcraft. Whatever it is you are recording, make sure the level that is coming in, is not too high or too low.

  • @acoustica222 Ah ok, i dunno Im recording like this.

Guitar -> M-audio Firewire Solo -> Mixcraft. Idk if this relates to my previous problem, but when i play lower notes (5 and 6th string) it gets this weird sound, as if I was playing with a neck pickup and a wah pedal pulled all the way back, but then everything else is fine, its weird and getting very irratating :(
