Maybe the most gratifying Miami Win I can remember considering UW broke the streak and the fact they were our only loss in 2000.

That Washington game was a statement of Miami's dominance over college football in 2001. Washington was no cupcake and the Canes completely decimated them in a primetime ABC game. I remember thinking this team was unstoppable when I saw them do this to UW.

Miami was good, in fact very good but if you want to say the best, it would have to be the 04 USC Trojans. They distroyed ACC teams, won 2 National titles in a row( almost 3 the next Year), had 2 Hiesman Trophy winners on one team ( almost had 3 but Carson Palmer went to the NFL. And remember Miami lost to these same Huskies ( PAC 10) the year before. I'm just saying.

@justinjamesful You're wrong. The '04 Trojans almost lost to unranked Stanford that year. This Miami team had 6 All-Americans, Five 1st Round draft picks and won 34 straight games. As far as strength of schedule, UM played 6 teams that finished in the Top 25 in 2001. USC only played 4 in 2004. That USC team was great, but nowhere near '01 UM.

Outstanding! Without a doubt my favorite UM football game. And just as Scipio Aemilianus destroyed Carthage and ordered his men to spread salt on the earth back in the spring of 146 BC. The Hurricanes under the direction of our great General Ken Dorsey laid waste to the Huskies, avenging the last two meetings and salting their earth so much so that since that game, the Huskies have not won a conference title and have been to only 3 bowl games winning only 1 of them. The football Gods favor UM!

Butch Davis put together some great teams. Talk about character: people forget that he took over the program knowing that sanctions were coming. He took them on and gave us some of the greatest Hurricanes teams ever. Randy Shannon and Larry Coker were good soldiers, but proved to be lousy generals.
