Bomberguy - thanks for posting the vid. My dad was WOP/AG RAF 37-46. He flew his Blenheim in the Bastille Day Parade 39. The Blenheim Boys soon realised the German fighters were faster and they were too lightly armed but they all loved that plane. Their high death rates were kept out of the British press for morale but they never flinched. My dad almost ran for joy when he saw the 'old girl' at RAF Museum Hendon. He flew many types (both RAF & BEA) but he had a big soft spot for the Blenheim.
Shoeless 1979 - my dad was WOP/AG in Blenheims. The Book The Bristol Blenheim by Graham Warner gives full details of plane losses with fates of their crews. You could also try CWGC Debt of Honour (Commonwealth War Graves Commission). Even if airman were missing believed killed (no known grave) they may well be commemorated on a memorial (eg Runnymede or Singapore etc) Good Luck
cool video bomberguy, i've just taken an interest in the blenheim as my grandads brother was a crew member in one. Him and the 2 other crew were KIA and i'm trying to find out if and where they were found if at all. Theres a good chance we'll never find out.
Thanks for these films. My Grandfather was a Wop/AG in Mk1 and Mk4 Blenheims, just checked his flying log. He always said those Bristol Murcury radials crackled. Now I've heard em! Brilliant. Thanks again.
Great footage, thanks for sharing (Dad with 108 Mk1's - North Africa)

Spitfires couldn't really stay with the Blenheims for very long could they? I don't remember them having much range at all.

My Dad agrees - he was with the RAF but flew Hurricane's 257th Squadron in S London during the Battle of Britain.

The bristol blenheim should have been replaced in production by 1941 42.Outclassed by then many brave crews lost.
