  • wish Dean Barkley beat these two corrupt politicians

  • Coleman just lost. Al Franken is now Senator Franken!!

  • this has been a surreal process and it must be extra trippy for MN residents. Kudos to Veracifier/Uptake for tireless coverage.

  • Conservatives are closed-minded and living in the dark-ages. They still think the world is flat. The oppose new ideas, which gives them brain farts. If Conservatives had thier way, we would still own slaves, women would not be allowed to vote, you would have to pay for education, since public education is "socialist." Do you really want people running our country who think people and dinosours roamed the earth together? A good place to be is in the middle.

  • Minnesotans once elected a Pro Wrestler to be the Governor, now it appears they have elected a comedic satirist for Senator. What's next a pro athlete for mayor?

  • 1. copy and paste

    2. send this to 2 other videos.

    3. hold your breath

    4.press refresh twice

    5.LOOK AT YOUR HANDS

  • My compliments to Senator Al Franken for winning the US Senate seat in Minnesota. It took 5 1/2 months but he secured the seat for the Democrats who I believe now have a majority in all branches of Government except the Judicial which will shortly happen anyway!

    Continued below

  • The Republicans and Conservatives have little or no voice in this Government rightly so because the Republicans (Not Conservatives) spent money like their liberal counterparts! This is why we called GWB a Domestic Liberal and a Conservative Foreign affairs President. The Democrats now control the Government and Im sure even after two years they will still blame GWB for the problems which they created over generations of progressive ideology E.G the housing crisis! Continued below

  • I pray that Al Franken will govern righteously and that he will be an honest and responsible senator not open to bribes and other hidden criminal activity we so often hear about from both sides. And that he is greeted with respect by the people of this nation and fellow senators!

  • Don't even talk about the Constitution being abused by Republicans!

It's the Progressives who have been saying for 100 years that the US Constitution is out of date and should be discarded in favor of Transnational Law! Ginsberg yesterday said as much! The US constitution is the best in the world!! Not European or the UN. It's Liberals who question the 1st.and 2nd Amendments and who hide books in national book stores. And disrupt Conservatives on Campus's of our higher learning schools.

  • Here before me lie 2 books: "How to Hypnotize Yourself" and "How to Unhypnotize Yourself." One would be well advised to read the second one first just in case. "Atheists" are forever whining; summoning up images of evacuation, excreta & sodomy; taking revenge on their parents & making grandiose pronouncements, with poor grammar & spelling, as to how worldly-wise they are...Dr. Mengele embraced "atheism"/ungodliness {as all monsters must} to carry out his atrocities.

  • Just WTF are you spewing about? At no time did your statements address a topic, make a new discussion, or add any meaning or info relating to the topic.

  • Don't use tampons. They cause toxic-shock syndrome.

  • Lets hope the hand of the "Empire said to be seeking to control US is not behind this!

Still, by all accounys, this was a close fight.

  • Maskedphrogg...I agree with you and at this point it might be best that Coleman back down .We had a similar problem here in Wash State in 2004. Democrat Gregoire defeated Republican Dino Rossi in one of the closest elections in gubernatorial history. Rossi led after TWO machine counts by 261 votes and 47 votes, respectively, before losing a final manual count by 129 votes.

  • Dino won 2 counts and Gregoire won 1 out of three and yet Gregoire won the election. The vote was certified by the state's Secretary of State, Sam Reed who is a Democrat. Washington's Republican leadership then filed suit, claiming that hundreds of votes, including votes by felons, deceased voters and double voters in King County which is 80% Democrat

  • The Democrats are at it again - trying to steal another election!

First the Democrats engaged in a blatant effort to steal the U.S. Senate seat in Minnesota on behalf of their candidate, the far-Left Fascist activist, Al Franken. Ballots literally appeared out of thin air to erase Republican incumbent Norm Coleman's lead that he had held on Election Day

  • Do try to keep up RURIGHT.

It was Coleman's team that insisted these ballots be included. Right up until they gave Franken an even greater count of the total vote.

At best, this election gives a clear indication that MN is a severely divided State.

At worst, it is bellwether for the election system and it's lack of reliability and validity.

How can this system be trusted at all when it's supposed outcome is still being contested so many months after the votes have been cast?

  • Judge Bridges did note that there was evidence that 1,678 votes had been illegally cast throughout the state. My point is that the same thing seems to be happening here. And if this disgusting Al Franken wins it only proves the Conservatives point that democrats will vote for vile and disgusting people whereas Conservatives would never even consider someone as vile as Franken to run.

  • Oh, I see now.

Just a case of Sour Grapes.

Well, no reason to rub salt in any wounds.

Coleman has been doing enough of that already.

Haven't really kept a close eye on this race myself, so I'm sure I've missed more than a few wry comments from Franken.

    'nuff said.

  • And now in NY-20 they are repeating one of the dirtiest tricks they've ever used -- and one they shamelessly employed in the 2000 presidential election: trying to stop military ballots from being counted. In fact, New York's elections board originally was not going to allow time for military ballots from Iraq & Afghanistan to be counted.

  • Whovian1971 Read the Constitution ! Where does it say you have to be from the state your want to govern from? Typical liberal fascist trying to steal another election, like Gregoire in Washington in 2004, and the presidential election in 2000. Liberal Democrats have no values or standards; they make them up as they go. Conservatives have standards and values (Not saying they always act on them) but most use the Holy Bible as a standard! Whereas Liberals use Moral Relativism as your Standard!

  • I'm not a moral relativist. And the BIBLE is the most "morally relative" book I can imagine. What that HELL does this have to do with Norm coleman and al franken?

"Typical liberal fascist trying to steal another election,"

We WON the election. Norm coleman is trying to "steal" the election. What a hysterical, ranting MORON you are!

  • whovian1971...You haven't the slightest idea what Moral Relativism is! The Bible is set in STONE like US Constitution! Unlike you liberals who think it's a "Living Breathing thing". This way you can change it to meet your Fascist ideals. There are over 4000 uncounted votes in Mn. And it's Franken who has tried to keep the Military votes from being counted! And it's your States Moral Relativist that will lie, cheat to get the pervert elected by concealing Red County votes! Your standards lie!

  • "The Bible is set in STONE like US Constitution! "

The constitution isn't set in stone. That's why it has AMENDMENTS. It's pretty clear that your off your meds since every thing your writing is nothing but extreme paranoia and distorted thought."

  • "And it's your States Moral Relativist that will lie, cheat to get the pervert elected by concealing Red County votes! Your standards lie!"

Actually Norm Coleman is the one doing things like trying to include 933 absentee ballots but then trying to have those very same ballots rejected because they put Al Franken in the lead. I guess that's "Moral Relativism" in the extreme!

  • lol!

Not to demean the points you make but thanx.

Am having trouble booting up my desktop so I booted up my laptop just to get my daily dose of YT :-)

Reading down a bit from a response to a thread I have been partaking I find this almost silly interchange.

Try to remember that zealots, whether of the religious or secular kind, will rarely let facts stand in the way of the point they wish to make.

  • coleman. Knowing he lost is still winning by not letting the People voice be heard. He has managed to keep one Democrat out of congress. I think the american people should get a tax rebate for all the time this goes on, because there is no representation.

  • "coleman. Knowing he lost is still winning by not letting the People voice be heard."

At the expense of his own political career. Nobody votes for the guy who yelled at the umpire for 4 months straight.

  • Unixaaron...You're another idiot from the left who needs to get away from those fascist websites and view the real reason! Coleman won the first count and it's Franken who has tried to suppress the Military vote and has tried to dismiss the 4000 uncounted votes from the red counties! Be Objective and you might realize that most websites are parochial in their content! But as a liberal fascist I dont expect you to do honest research!

  • You sure do claim to know a lot about me, yet I find it hard to believe you have done any research. Your hatred and hypocrisy are typical of the impotent rhetoric you cram into your ass to make up for the void of love you mom never felt for you. Unless you have a personal connection to someone in the recount process you wouldn't know anymore than anyone else who read what is out there. Your mental gymnastics are only fooling yourself.

  • How long will it take before the Federal courts tell Coleman it is over? District. Court of Appeals. Supreme Court.

Will take 2 years of a 6 year term? It has already been 5 months since the election. Maybe 2 months between being elected and being sworn in is not enough time for our election process to work.

  • Res ipsa loquitur (the thing speaks for itself)

  • Urgh, seriously. Why do you have to make voting such a hassle? No wonder your percentage of voters are so low. Something needs to be done. =/

  • Minnesota voters spoke loud and clear, they wanted neither one of them

  • With all due respect, I've never heard a close election summarized as a voter message that neither candidate was wanted. I can't make sense of it. For your conclusion, are you factoring in something that isn't commonly known? If so, clarification would be helpful. Thanks.

  • "Minnesota voters spoke loud and clear, they wanted neither one of them "

    No, they wanted al franken.

  • This snarled mess must be taking a toll on the people of MN. I feel for them!

Veracifier, thanks for posting this.. It was a terrific summary of what's happened so far.

Regardless of how it's settled, it's going to leave a lot of open wounds (just like the Bush-Gore election challenge did). Really, there has to be a better way to sustain democracy than the often inconsistent/inept ways that votes are currently tallied.

  • Roger that.

    Black Box Voting anyone?

  • How does a Court with Federal jurisdiction (US Supreme Court) manage to overrun a State's Highest Court on a State matter?

re: in the final comments of the vid there was talk of the Rep Governor being unwilling to sign off on an election certificate until "all appeals have been tried."

    wtf

This is a State matter is it not.

  • That is why they are trying to use the "equal protection" clause of the 14th amendment ... "no state shall ... deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws".

Of course, the Colman campaign is trying to have it both ways, since at first they tried to get better protection for absentee voters from republican leaning counties, and are only turning to equal protection if they lose that effort.

  • coleman and his backward ass views and his robot helmet hair can just fuck off.

  • Baronmorris...

That was kind of mean wasn't it? I'm sorry baronmorris, but your filthy language is typical of a Hateful Bigoted Liberal!!

  • LIBERAL (textbook definition)

Not limited to established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry.

Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress & tolerant of the ideas & behavior of others; broad-minded.

willing or marked by a willingness to give unstintingly.

if ur the opposite of that, then u suck.

  • FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE,

the FECAL SHRAPNEL OF CONSERVATISM destroys lives!

    if they had their way:

Pro-life = NO abortion (mutilated women & lives). What then becomes of unwanted children? NO sex ed to prevent unplanned pregnancy. NO free pre-natal care for the impoverished, NO universal health, NO public housing, NO welfare, No public education, punitive not rehabilitative justice system that criminalizes victimless crimes, until ultimately: YES, DEATH PENALTY!

    but life is sacred? right

  • Liberalism destroys lives. When there is no incentive to strive for a better life, when there is no personal investment in getting an education, when there is no incentive to work for getting a better place to live, a better job, a better lifestyle. That is what destroys lives. When you hand it out for free there is no investment to hold it with respect or care. I

  • no incentive to strive for a better life? get real. enough is never enough in this land of manufactured greed. & ur a testament to that rampant greed, evidently. You like so many others suffer from a false scarcity model. Do people really need 3 cars & 5 big screen TV's etc ad nausem when other people are starving in the streets?

look up maslow's hierarchy of needs. It is in the enlightened self-interest of us all to engineer a society that fosters self-esteem in all, for the betterment of all.

  • Wow, all I have did was give my opinion and make a statement. You assume quite a bit. Your vitriolic diatribe describes your viewpoint quite well as well as most Liberals. But your last sentence sums up your philosophy which I particularly do not want to live under. I personally do not want to live in a country that thinks we need to "engineer a society". If that is your intent, please move to another country that already is "engineeried". Perhaps Cuba would be more to your liking.

  • baronmorris

"if ur the opposite of that, then u suck."

You Liberals are really tolerant aren't you?

The problem with your assessment of Liberalism is that you people are "The Most intolerant people in the country! a willingness to give unstintingly

Conservatives outgive Liberals 10 to 1 and thats a fact! I spent 5.3 months in Biloxie MS after Katrina and the it was Christian Based groups who did the cleanup. You Libs talk but you have little to show. You steal from others bucko!

  • Ahhhh...

    that makes sense.

Just one of the various back door methods that Feds use to overrule States on State matters.

But I thought the effort to [re]include more absentee ballots was just one the many ways Coleman legal efforts have backfired. iow Franken regains a majority of votes with more absentee ballots being included.

  • Front door way, actually ... the 14th amendment was originally passed to explicitly take away the "states right" to deny citizenship rights to newly freed slaves.

But the Bush/Gore fight was over a recount restricted to only certain counties on a state wide contest ... the Minnesota recount was statewide. And since the Supreme Court explicitly declared the Bush/Gore decision was not a precedent, an even weaker claim would seem to be on shaky ground.

  • Wow!

    Tnx for the pointer.

    Just reviewed the XIV Amend

    A doozy that one.

Put into Law that only Males over the age of 21 had voting rights (codified discrimination based on sex)

    AND

Section 4 is what I think you point to in restricting States from denying newly emancipated slaves the rights of citizenship.

5 sections that mostly deal with issues outlawing the actions taken by So states that lead Lincoln to wage war on portions of his own Nation and redefining(?) congressional representation.

  • Discrimination based on sex was in the Constitution already ... what the 14th amendment did cement universal suffrage, so states could not deny the vote by putting 1700's style property requirements back in. Unfortunately, in the late 1800's, the 14th amendment was mostly been USED to protect the rights of corporations as "fictitious persons".

  • what an ass spamming this crap

  • It makes me rather sad that people actually vote for people like Coleman.

  • rjbonacolta .."It makes me rather sad that people actually vote for people like Coleman." Are you serious! You Democrats will vote for a pervert, a vile filthy mouth vermin like Franken and you make a statement like that? Oh but of course you have Barney Frank and Tax Cheat Timothy Geitner and Chris Dodd and 6 other tax cheats Obama tried to seat in his cabinet! Maybe if Democrats paid their taxes we might have a balanced budget? How could anyone with values vote for Franken? A disgusting man!

  • pack it in Coleman, go pick up a bottle of Extenze and lay down with your hot wife for 4 hours, if you are still stiff after 4 hours find more women

  • I'm sorry, but Coleman comes accross as a total prig who is in this game for himself and not the people. Especially the attack on his wife being misattributed by him to Franken himself and then his retention of Ginsberg, who is another piece of work.

  • That chick got owned! LoL.

  • everything is upside down

  • Excellent recap! Congratulations! Oh, and thanks bunches, Norm, for wasting taxpayers money.

  • Why should Coleman drop out instead of that pervert and disgusting lack of morals Al Franken? He's the one disenfranchising voters and the military!

And since when did Democrats care about wasting tax money?

  • both of these clowns need to go back to N.Y.

  • "both of these clowns need to go back to N.Y. "

Al Franken is from Minnesota. Norm can "Go back to New york"!

  • Comment removed

  • lol she got owned, why can't stuff like this happen in higher levels of government? Imagine bush/cheney speaking in a witness stand for violation of Constitutional Law, that would make for awesome tv drama not to mention epic ownage.

  • Rehnquist took care of that!

  • Beadbud5000... And I just took care of THAT! TOO! Go on sassygirl345!

  • Don't even talk about the Constitution being abused by Republicans!

It's the Progressives who have been saying for 100 years that the US Constitution is out of date and should be discarded in favor of Transnational Law! Ginsberg yesterday said as much!
