Forty years ago, teenagers had hunting rifles in the back of their cars because they'd go off to shoot deer for the weekend. That would horrify people today. WHat the hell happened?
i remeber a story of a teengaer using duct tape to protest the zero tolerance... sooner or later the school is going try to seek back corporal punishment over this and do what a judge in Texas does to certian criminals. I saw thorw away zero-tolerance and confess to adultism.
Yes, this stuff really happens. I remember when I was in the 3rd grade our principle explained the new "Safe Schools Policy" to us that the school board put in place. He told us that he had no option but to suspend two boys for bringing wooden toy swords to school.
Yeah this nation is going to hell lets all throw on prison apparel add a ball and chain and look into brain washing tech cause thats where its leading too nation imprisonment with vibrant colours, masking the ugly truth. I went through this my sister had it worst all during the last 20yrs this stuff has been going on escalating out of control, maybe even earliar then that, but out of the two frames personally for myself
The Bill of Rights I think is sort of set up like the ten commandments. Just as the commandments say thou shall not... the bill of rights says congress shall not... One of the exceptions is in the second amendment "the right of the people to keep and bear arms (shall be debated and restricted lol), shall not be infringed." While I'm not the guy who wants first graders to have guns, playing with guns made with fingers should not only be protected under a liberal first amendment as wellthe 2nd
Yes, lets repress our school children AS MUCH as possible in hopes that one of them won't EXPLODE IN A VIOLENT FIT OF RAGE AND REPRESSED EMOTION AND NEED TO EXPRESS HIMSELF!! I'm sure that will work.
My God,I can't beleive how stupid these people are! Well.. You know extremest reactions and extrememist behavior are the hallmarks of totalitarian society. Those ,vested, with power, go overboard, either because they are pushing their agenda or they believed the ridiculous nonsense themselves.
Either way, they have to be stopped! We have to bring these people under control and clean up the mess they have made. Start by teaching morals and the US constitution.
Lee don't you know, schools and colleges aren't about "educating" children and the next generation, it's about assuring they "think" properly and know the "facts" and are ready to to "believe" whatever other bullshit the media has in store for them! Good video and a good testament to how utterly ridiculous people can be, but I'm afraid we can expect plenty more in the future, unless people vote the idiots out congress and stand up to stupid court decsions and organize marches to say "ENOUGH!!!"
I know someone who goes to Columbine who says that it is a lot safer because of the massacre, in a sense.
I think they should look for the more dangerous parts of a gun, like stuff that smells like sulfur, and bullets, and guns that can have that stuff in them, and not get paranoid over small stuff like lego guns, rubber bands, and gun hands. They should be more suspicious in the ages of rebellion(teenage years), because that is logically more likely when a massacre like Columbine would happen.
God the public school system is full of this bullshit. I get worried about young-earth creationism subtly getting into the system. Now that doesn't even sound bad compared to this crap.
Examples of feminist attacks on our young boys in school. Bad enough they drug them to "cure" them of their masculinity, and force a style of teaching that benefits girls over boys, but we also get schools punishing normal, healthy development in boys.
If you care about your son, you would get him out of public schools. They are being indoctrinated to hate themselves.
maybe i dont totally support american edu. but all american schools that i have been in are over involved in the children, so much in fact that because they spend so much in "character building" there is no money left for EDUCATION
Feminized & Feminst controlled educaional system by emotional dysfunctional people who aim to remove the alpha male from society (reasons cops are always called on 5 year olds)
these policies are noting but stupidity at it's best. It's making our kids into mini soldiers by making them less physically active, imaginative, and having them follow more and more rules.
I think it comes down to arbitrary morality. When we can't "push our views on others," and that includes morality for students. Instead of coming from a normal standpoint, they isolate each issue and make a judgment call from their "neutral fair rules": it is bad to shoot other people; therefore, it is bad to pretend to do so. They don't even bother to look and see that the kids are just playing a game and/or imitating heroes. By isolating each issue, they stay out of touch with reality.
I also don't understand how the people in power now got to be the way they are. Were these people not part of the "freedom and tolerance" generations? you know, Baby-boomers right through to Gen Xers? Why did they fight so hard in the past for their rights, only to obtain power and assimilate themselves into the positions they grew up rebelling against?!
I'm so goddamn sick of every issue today boiling down to a "left wing vs right wing" pissing match. Conservatives accusing Liberals of being wrong and insane; and vice versa . All while the real ISSUE (the way your education system is being driven into the ground) is put on a back-burner... Don't you see that it doesn't matter who's running the show, they're still gaining the upper hand by dividing all you rubes and forcing you to argue over who's right! FOCUS ON THE REAL ISSUE!!
I'm going to take a long time and have a big talk with my Advisory and maybe even my Counselor about giving up my Constitutional rights at school. Zero tolerance = 0 Freedom.
The Darwinian Indoctrination in schools....atheists should be banned from schools completely, they belive free speech, and human rights ONLY belongs to them and no one else,we need to expose the damage atheism is doing to our schools.
There's a difference between having the freedom of speech to say wrong things and demanding that people not be able to teach right things in favor of saying the same wrong thing you do.
It's not their fault that no creationist can make a scientific theory out of "God did it."
@rkyeun ...,as long as it is something called 'freedom of speech'..is not just for a few,it is for all,and if you can't see that creationists have the same rights as an evolutionists you will see an uprising like you never seen in all your lifetime,if you think that all the christians in u.s.a(79% of the population) will just roll over and let this 'critical thinkers'be the only ones who are allowed to speak in america, you got a civil war in the horizon.and is already happening.
The truth hurts, those crimes seculars blame christians of doing are the very same crimes seculars are using, but for some crazy reason, when a secular uses indoctrination is ok,but when somebody can see that seculars are doing indoctrination is not ok to call it, cause they think is not indoctrination or intolerance when they do it. In other words "an intellectual game for the mind".Fundamentalists, radicals in the secular movement are as violent and dangerous as a religious nut job.
@rkyeun ..yes,call it whatever helps you sleep...for the past 8 years, those 'proven facts' turn out to be 'propaganda'...and besides, why are you afraid of Intelligent Design?..how dare they teach proven facts. Students might end up realizing your Darwinism is nothing but lies?....yeah..the game is on...
@rkyeun.............. Yes, how dare they teach proven facts as intelligent design. Students might end up realizing your Darwinism is nothing but propaganda with drawings.....you see...those intellectual mind games has been exposed already people in the radical secular left should update their responses about the subject, since by cursing, insulting and manipulate the system in a way that seculars can get away with murder is not different than religious nuts.
@rkyeun ...hahahaha......will see in about 5 years from now if you still gonna be laughing......Darwinism is dead, the very same way that it kill God 150 years ago...today technology show that little factory inside of a cell, and for some reason evolutionists can't sale that one with a convincing arguments in the scientific community, that those Darwinian whorshipers all they got in their deffense is a bunch of insults and a bankrupt philosophy that is just pity what is holding them a float.
@rkyeun ....you know, it is ironic.......150 years ago that little cell was the main reason Darwinism took wings, today that very same cell turn out to be complex, exactly what Darwin said it will kill the theory if it is any eveidence of a complex organism, hell!, those Darwinian priests who called themselfs 'scientists' never thought this day will come, but right now, it is just a matter of a few years more to see that theory hit rock bottom...the controversy has just begun....
@rkyeun ..150 years ago, everybody belived in god until Charles Galton Darwin killed God with the monkey theory of random mutations,50 years later, technology turn out to be the death blow to that theory, since was Darwin himself that claim if an organism turn out to be complex, the whole random theory is useless...evolutionists now try to twist the complexity and claim they never said we come from a chimpanzee as an ancestor. It is a shame that is into too many biology books to deny it.
I'm sorry, I missed the part where Darwin said the theory was invalid if complex things existed. Can you quote-mine that at me so I can read you the very next sentence?
.you want to deny the theory of monkeys is dying, thats fine by me.It is not up to me...all i can say is that don't wait for the media to let you know whats going on with that theory, since 2006, 23% of the population trust the media, universities turn out to be indoctrination centers and a lot of students are aware of it,it is just a matter of time to see how deep the Darwinian propaganda hole goes...scientists lost credibility since it has become a circus of arrogant bullies.no one like bullies.
It doesn't matter how much of the population trusts the media. It doesn't matter how many people believe the earth is flat.
If by "circus of arrogant bullies" you mean "requires proof and evidence" and "checked to make sure it matches reality before being taught in schools" then yeah, University is so elitist as to only teach science.
What evidence would it take to convince you that evolution is true?
@Akelz77 ..........i know...but don't worry..you can still go to China and have a dictatorship to tell you evolution is a fact, it is a shame that in america people are getting sick of the propaganda of Lord Darwin,King Of The Zoos...i love america
UGH!... I should sue for damages after my rampant facedesking. Can you actually PROVIDE an EXAMPLE of even ONE piece of this so called "evolution propaganda" and show why it's false? Then you have to prove the shit that YOU believe to be true. You can't? You're just trolling because you can't think for yourself? It's ok... we knew that all along.
..ufffff..You can't sue free speech moron....you know what evolutionists have become?..angry seculars who can't see beyond campus...they think the land of the free is like campus, control by campus, and campus decides what can and can't be said.Unfortunately for the secular, the free land is not own by campus, but by all kinds of religions, races and ideas that created the uniqueness of this land.People in the land start to see the abuse of government, police and academia. No matter what you think
@breedofthe45 UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... I owe you 2 bucks because I got my first nose bleed EVER haeddesking to you. You make NO sense and have not done what I asked. Can you actually PROVIDE an EXAMPLE of even ONE piece of this so called "evolution propaganda" and show why it's false? Then you have to prove the shit that YOU believe to be true. You can't? You're just trolling because you can't think for yourself? It's ok... we knew that all along.
What the f*ck? These are kids, and they don't realize that what they're doing is so "unacceptable". Maybe I should get a T-shirt with a readout of the 10th amendment: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." If the Constitution or the state says no, then nobody can do it. If they don't say anything, then by all means, do it.
oh god, thank god i have only 2 years till i graduate high school. i lived most of my life in israel, and while i did get in a lot more fights there, at least they let us be kids.
zero tolerance is fundamentally stupid because it involves not thinking, just suspending, all zero tolerance it is is you plugging your ears with your fingers and going "LA LA LA LA LA LA ZERO TOLERANCE! LA LA LA LA LA LA YOUR SUSPENDED!"
Yup. Back when I was in Elementary school (1998-2004) Tag, baseball, hide and seek, dodgeball, football, and running on the playground were all banned. Also no pokemon cards. And they took down the monkey bars on the playground.
When I was little I accidentally left an orange toy gun from the dollar store in my coat pocket. I was so afraid that day that I would get in big trouble because of zero tolerance. Very glad I got through the day without anyone finding it.
@justicetrooper think thats bad? i accidentally put a screwdriver in my backpack once (dont ask why). when i needed to pull out my calculator, i was scared shitless.
It is NOT the educators and administrators who have no common sense. It is the litigation happy public that has brought these ridiculous policies to bear. Fear of begin sued is what causes these outlandish rulings. As a parent I have seen my children suffer through these nonsensical cases, both of my sons have been suspended for actions that would have been laughed at 20 years ago. On the other side, as a teacher, I wonder about the security of my job every time a student gets upset in my class.
I was suspended for 10 days from the same Fairfax county school system now banning hugs, hand holding, and high fives. My offense? I was holding a 2 inch keychain supersoaker. It wasn't even functional AS A SQUIRT GUN!! I was accused of having a "look alike" weapon. I guess that was easier for them to say than " it looked like a " look alike " weapon. This was in 1993. For an illustration of the ineptitude, inefficiency, and immorality, of socialism you need look no further than..........
You must prob. be exhausted with all the comments i make on ur videos, but I wanted to say this is an interesting video. :) I am very concerned about what is going on in public schools. Its great that they are free, but I dislike what we have to pay psychologically and educationally for that. We have ridiculous suspensions here in Texas.
When I was in kindergarten and first grade I used to draw laser guns and light sabers in pretty much every single picture I did. And sharks eating people too! I would have spent all my grade school in suspension if I was 5 years old now!
When I was in the 8th grade I used to draw pictures of guns while in school because they were really interesting and I wanted to be in the army when I was older. One of my teachers noticed and sent me to talk to the school counselor. They were concerned that I might do something violent. When I was older joined the Marines and deployed to Iraq 3 times where I never shot anyone, despite my hazardous job. I still like guns but I don't ever want to hurt anyone. Was I really a dangerous child?
interesting video. i'm curious what role you think our legal system has played in these events. do you think they are partly to blame as some schools have become afraid of getting caught up in litigation for doing nothing that, should an accident occur, they often go overboard in over-regulating?
What do I think? I think you made a informative video backed up with acual facts in writing making it impossible to argue with......unless your completely irrational.....great job bro.....as a father of a three year your vid scares the shit outta me......guess thats exactly what it should do
School kids these days are mostly little shits. They don't deserve sports or high fives or fun or hugs. These new developments are a step in the right direction
Dang! Shut down the Federal Dept. of Education already and give parents the choice of getting their children out of schools full of these pointy-headed intellectual pukes who are clueless about how to raise children. (facepalm)
Wow, that's fascinating. That means I can talk to you without being called a racist, biggot, etc. So tell me, what drove you to become a liberal, and why did you think the way you did? What made you change over to our side?
@shananagans5 Fiscal Liberal ( I'm pretty sure that that's the correct terminology). I believe in things such as a large government providing many social programs like health care and home/auto/life insurance, where we pay larger taxes. I'm also in favor of a government with far less authority.
I finally found a video in which I totally agree with you!!!
I took my kids out of public school for exactly this reason.... I would urge anyone with children in public school to do the same.. You may not think that your kids are getting this type of treatment at their school but they are. Add in the almost immediate inclination for school administrators to recommend drugging "unruly" kids and what you've got is nearly a generational cognitive holocaust.
The beuracracies run this country dude. IRA, SEC, FDA, NEA, FBI, CIA, DOD, EPA...so much for 3 branches of government and "checks" and "balances". And the next president, no matter who he is, will only continue the slide. A limited state is a contradiction in terms. By the way, as a teacher I would like to say "Educators" some of the worst of the lot. The dumbest department in any college is the education department and most public schools are a joke.
the theme of my high school's senior health class (a required course) is "Social Justice". In 7th grade my best friend was forced to go to the hospital to get "mentally cleared" for drawing a pistol on a piece of paper. It cost $500 to skip the line in the ER (which is where he had to go if he wanted to be allowed to go to school the next day). My school ignores the Stoner's and just tells the smokers to "put out their cig" if they are smoking at school, but punishes good kids for doodling. WTF.
Please, if you're a student in a school like this, PLEASE break the rules. Get your friends to join you. Hive five everyone you see, and then hug 'em like they've never been hugged before.
In late '70s/early '80s NE WA, 1/3rd to 1/2 of all vehicles in student & faculty parking lots of my high-school had a .30-30, .308, 12 gauge or other high powered deer-rifle in the trunk or window gun-racks on any given day during deer season. Bullies bullied, Brains studied, Jocks flexed, Geeks geeked, etc with all the teen passion & anxt of their modern counterparts, & yet somehow, nobody got shot. Now, a pic of a gun gets kids thrown out, but school shootings are almost common. WTH?!?
Since liberals/socialists are running the school systems (into the ground), this is another example of just how utterly stupid liberals are and have zero common sense.
Why are we not hearing of whole school administrations being brought up on charges of child abuse? They should be. It's gotten to the point to where they are being open about deliberately trying to retard normal and healthy social and emotional development.
What is the best way to address these travesties? Would it not be possible to start a campaign for state legislators to limit this kind of behavior on the part of educators?
Go to school in the UK here. Drawing guns isn't norm but if a child were to draw a graphical scene (in Primary 4-11 year olds) the teacher may get a lil concerned, no suspension though.
By us wearing uniform you might think we have very strict rules (sixth forms dont wear those) not so. Some school prefer the pupils not to dye their hair colors like Green and such (in Sixth form do as you wish)
Racial discrimination is of dealt with. But not so much you can't be proud of your nation and origins.
Ya know, I feel slightly better knowing my Saw off shotgun is fully loaded when I go to school. Because there are no LEGAL guns at school, if makes you feel safe, but it doesn't make you safe.
Is it just me or is every single principle named "gomez" or "gonzalez" lol. Also, this is pretty bullshit. Paintball guns are NOT too dangerous for school. We're heading in the opposite direction of the ideal huxleyan future, discouraging kids from normal social development. No high fives? wtf... And the kid got expelled for a knife in his car? I carry a folder to school every day. The only reason school massacres happen is because students and teachers can't be armed or defend themselves.
The only thing here that I can understand is the paintball gun incident. I'm sure someone thought he/she was going to shoot someone's eye out or whatever, but plastic LEGO guns!?! Toy soldiers are dangerous!?! "Hand" guns are unacceptable!?! NO HIGH-FIVES!?!?! What are we doing to our kids...
You misrepresent at least one of these policies as "zero tolerance." Pausing the video at 2:02, you will find that the rule against high fives is enforced at the discretion of school officials, and that "typically, only repeat offenders are reprimanded." Discretionary enforcement means that there is at least some tolerance, and the tenor of the article supports this conclusion. The rule may simply be phrased in absolute terms to promote compliance, when the reality is quite different.
@iceberg08eas Well they only allowed plastic ones because the metal ones had sharp points on them. I told the principal that a pencil will do just as much damage but they weren't having that. I didn't know it was the rule because who could concieve of something so stupid.
I was going to comment on this video but the rulings are so absurd I am at a loss for words. Once again I'm starting not to even recognize my country anymore.
I know a guy once who got expelled for having a spent shotgun shell (one that's been fired) in the backseat of his car. He was just out hunting the weekend before, and there wasn't even a gun in his car.
Lee, you should really add one of those little notes specifying that the student with the paintball gun brought it for "Show and Tell." Way too many people here are agreeing with the disciplinarians over that incident.
This is one reason why home schooling is so appealing. I only enjoyed my senior year in high school because I knew freedom from years of incarceration was finally in sight!
Then I went on to college, which was quite superior in some respects. But there have been many insane moments there too. >_< I had a government teacher who actually claimed that Fidel Castro is a better leader than any American president, for example. Ahaha.
I think we should just go either two ways. 1984 and just brainwash and break everyone who doesn't conform...Or go Brave New World the keep 7/8ths of the population child like.
@gronkdamage@gronkdamage Agreed. It's on par with bringing a CO2 powered pellet gun to school. Without proper protection paintball markers can cause serious and sometimes permanent injuries (you'll shoot your eye out!). I still have a mark on my arm the last time I played over 3 years ago. I've no problems with kids playing paintball. It's an excellent team sport so long as the proper precautions are taken and you don't take the gun to school.

I think it started as a way to instantly lock down on behavior that could lead to a tragedy: drug use, weapons, gang behavior, etc.
But, in classic liberal/progressive echo-chamber style, it morphed into a way to exert the ultimate control over people: thought crimes. It's become a way to "avert tragedy" by controling thoughts and behavior that "MIGHT" lead to whatever they want to avoid.
And it won't stop either. The bar will continue to be raised until something forces them to stop.
these educators are obviously making the world a safer place. I for one would go further, get rid of anything that remotely resembles a fun activity. kids should sit in their desk hands clasped in front of them, say nothing, learn nothing and do nothing with the exception of praising barak obama in song. :D
bah FFS let kids be kids. let them play have fun and be patriotic.
They've banned rubber bands at my school, and now they've even banned those animal shaped bracelets on the grounds that they're still rubber bands, and therefore weapons.
I can understand the kid with the paintball gun being suspended. Those things could be dangerous. Everything else though is absolutely ridiculous. There is no excuse for these "politically correct" policies.
I back tracked that story wanting to know if he brought it in assembled or not. It was something called a 'paint blaster'. It doesn't look like it comes apart and it also looks like it doesn't have a high enough fps to seriously injure most people. Also the magazine is clear so while I couldn't tell from the news reports whether or not it was loaded it would be easy to tell.
@ryanmshepard92 Paintball guns have safety's don't they? I think it should have been fine. If you take out the ammo and remove the CO2 bottle, it's not a threat to anybody.
I contend that the incidence of idiocy is much higher among the college educated. These teachers and administrators are proof positive. "Common" folk with common sense do not let political correctness warp their brain.
They are suspending and expelling kids for social behavior. It's just a side effect of over all disconnection in society.
Violence has always been around. We need to accept it as part of human behavior and try to prevent its harmful effects. Over violence in the media is definitely a problem, but so is restricting safe, fun, and healthy playful violence between children that is important to development.
People these days either hate violence or love it. Both opinions are idiotic.
What we should do is go back to school and break all these rules and show that you have a best friend because you trust them, that playing cops and robbers and making guns with your hands is fun, that rosary beads are harmless, that the American Flag is Patriotic, that high fives is a sign of sportsmanship and friendship, and that paper CANNOT shoot bullets.
Let kids be kids. The way they are being educated is going to mess them up in the long run.
It's time for parents in these districts to get more involved (or even to be involved) in their child's schooling ... attending PTA meetings for example ... assuming the district even has PTAs set up. I wouldn't be surprised if these were cut from schools where such regulations were made to save the small fee of paying teachers occasional overtime to attend. "Why do we need parental feedback? We know how to handle children (because some of us have a childish level of logic/maturity)."
They make rules against normal behavior claiming that it leads to trouble, and then they look the other way while students are being terrorized by their classmates. They treat adolescent athletes like movie stars and give them a free pass for the most outreageous behavior imaginable. They feed their students the most unhealthy food on the planet. They mock and ridicule independent thought.Their curriculum and methods are laughably antiquated. They are the educators of America. And they want a raise.
Don't forget the ludicrous curriculums and absolutely insane texts that are being funnelled into our school systems by people with ulterior motives. They want to teach our kids about that self serving twerp Oprah Winfrey and inane Paris Hilton et al. What about teaching them History, Math, Science, Civics and Social Studies? All the “Feel Good” crap got to go too!
it was in the Texas State Board of Education's sorting out of it's curriculum and texts for the future. The Board was previously controlled by many Liberals who insisted on "Pop Culture Icons" being included but excluding Famous important figures from History.
Google (or what ever) "The Texas Textbook Controversy".
A few years ago an assistant principal ( looked and sounded like Wilford Brimley) read me the riot act merely because I was talking to my friend about Doom. insanity!

I do support one zero tolerance policy, ZERO TOLERANCE FOR STUPIDITY.
This is why principals and admin needs to do this one thing called. . . Thinking.
if they did, we MIGHT see less random suspensions.
i am not going to be surprised when a person is arrested for carrying a pencil as a concealed weapon. what the fuck.

There's a difference between having the freedom of speech to say wrong things and demanding that people not be able to teach right things in favor of saying the same wrong thing you do.
It's not their fault that no creationist can make a scientific theory out of "God did it."
rkyeun 1 year ago
@rkyeun ...,as long as it is something called 'freedom of speech'..is not just for a few,it is for all,and if you can't see that creationists have the same rights as an evolutionists you will see an uprising like you never seen in all your lifetime,if you think that all the christians in u.s.a(79% of the population) will just roll over and let this 'critical thinkers'be the only ones who are allowed to speak in america, you got a civil war in the horizon.and is already happening.

In other words "an intellectual game for the mind".Fundamentalists, radicals in the secular movement are as violent and dangerous as a religious nut job.

breedofthe45 1 year ago
@breedofthe45
Why yes, after three billion years of evolution the modern cell is indeed very complex. Or do you think we evolved from chimpanzees?
rkyeun 1 year ago
@rkyeun ..150 years ago, everybody belived in god until Charles Galton Darwin killed God with the monkey theory of random mutations,50 years later, technology turn out to be the death blow to that theory, since was Darwin himself that claim if an organism turn out to be complex, the whole random theory is useless...evolutionists now try to twist the complexity and claim they never said we come from a chimpanzee as an ancestor. It is a shame that is into too many biology books to deny it.

the theme of my high school's senior health class (a required course) is "Social Justice". WTF.

@red5llaw I've never heard of schools teaching kids about Oprah and Paris Hilton.
Can you send me links to some articles about that? I'd like to learn more.

it was in the Texas State Board of Education's sorting out of it's curriculum and texts for the future. The Board was previously controlled by many Liberals who insisted on "Pop Culture Icons" being included but excluding Famous important figures from History.
Google (or what ever) "The Texas Textbook Controversy".

A few years ago an assistant principal ( looked and sounded like Wilford Brimley) read me the riot act merely because I was talking to my friend about Doom. insanity!
