@nastyguard007 Actually now i think they probably only have the same publisher (Ocean), flashback was made by delphine and this certainly wasn't. When i was a kid i didn't know the difference and assumed Ocean was the developer. I also thought super mario all-stars was made by capcom for some time.

Why does this game have a region select at the beginning? It's the first thing I wondered when I put my OWN game into my SNES. That's usually something you only see in PAL games. But mine's not a PAL.

I have no idea. If you're interested, you can look it up, i don't even know where. It's possible that i like this game because i had it for a very long time as a real cartridge and played it long before i even had a PC. But i can say i tried and didn't really like the megadrive game (using an emulator of course).
O.k. if you played this game as a kid than it becomes clear to me that you favourise this version, thats totally normal and the same with me. If i today play games which are 10-20 years old its hard to get in the game because of totally different game design as today games. U had to got in the game in their time as there where actual. Yeah actually i think if i only tried this game today i would only probably like the volcano and machine music and nothing else. But since there still are old games that i try now and really get into, i think that indicates quality.
