I concur with Mr. Richardson, we have already greatly intereferred with "nature" (We are nature, too, which many Homo sapiens reality deniers refuse to admit.) and need to promote their survival; however, what allows this interaction more so, in my opinion, is how much of their environment's (all "wild" animals) territory we have destroyed, reducing their territories to less than what they require to survive.
I think its good that he has this kind of understanding for these animals, they get so much stick for being violent and aggressive and so many people want to kill them for thier skins or stuff them for decoration. I think its a beautiful thing what he's done here and he is incredibly brave. I have much respect for this guy!
According to the description he has them on a private reserve that he owns rather than a "zoo" that's open to the public. I suspect that the fences are more to protect the animals from pepole rather than the other way around--in the US a private reserve is usually a place where "exotic" animals are kept so that rich guys can go in there and shoot them for trophies...more power to this guy!

Humans eventually either destroy or kill everything, if we can learn to co-exist with other species, that will allow their preservation.
