the fruedian slip: companies in place of " countries" is an ever more purvasive coloquialism. I ponder the macro significance to our collective conciousness
Interesting. Uprated. I've been really shocked at how high the DJIA has been for well over ten years. My own calculations usually put it correctly at 4 or 5,000. People thought I was nuts, but based on my own modest analysis/research bg, I just couldn't see any logical reason for it to be so high! When bubbles burst, people get hurt. The dot com bubble burst in 2000 -- my life hasn't been the same since. We buy and sell based on press releases now in my home! PR!
thank you for posting another outstanding video, I actually learned something new, Never did I suspect that companies were buying there own stock back, to reduce there float, with cheap money, On a different note, What are your thoughts about the banking campaign to get you to move out of big banks to community banks by 11 5 ? Just a hoax or do you think its merited? Will my patrons frown if they see I use a bank of america checking account?
2008 was a national security crisis.. maintaining the corporate structure + government workforce was paramount to our captured government, at expense to the public. As Biderman succinctly put, the government has basically filled the bellows of corporations with cheap money via bond flipping and black box stock pumping. The thing is that this era is like a one time deal.. it's all going to come down.. all the way down, and probably within the decade, if not the next 12 months !
with that being said the U.S GDP and MANY other countries have been synthetically inflating the "true" values of markets, mainly to subsidize the production of consumables, its that simple!
Now, a country has to maintain a standard of living but when wages have stagnated but consumption does not what do you say?
Charge it!
Home equity here we come and gold card till your out of credit, thus we recognize a truism.
The financialization of our physical world will stop when the dollar is no longer the world's reserve currency. When that event occurs, dollars will reverse flow into the USA and hyperinflation will occur. Those who take title to the physical world that isn't incumbered by debt will survive.
I wonder how much money is flowing into prescious metals according to trimtabs, and is there any forecasting in this market based on the data/statistics gathered by them? Thanks for the video Warren!
Employment and growth are not well correlated to the stock market in a country where money is constantly created and distributed to a smaller and smaller percentage of the population. We might as well not even mention them in the same sentence as prices. That time is past.
the thing is the slow ride to the bottom promises the outlook for a turn arround point is very far out into the future...that has other risk that are potentially greater...most people are unwilling to understand what this truthfully means.
Interesting guest. I'll have to check out his channel/website. Here's a thought on OWS with regards to the trimtab idea. My guess is that most of the folks are planning on being there indefinitely. Either way, it might be an interesting possibility to use these demonstrations as a place where new autonomous structures & systems can be displayed to serve as an example of what's possible and to make their stay a bit more comfortable than tents and portojohns. Just a thought.
Can't see deflation, with Bernanke @ the helm. He will inflate at all costs as is his track record as a Keynesian. Ps the Dow rising x14 over 24 years is an annual compound average of 11.5 % .
@DavidAKZ less shares in total.. the company buys back the stock and the price goes up because there are less shares floating around (aka the float of a stock)
@kileer7 Yep I did not agree with him.. I think If I paid into a system its an annuity not an entitlement. As to people we have zero value under the current model.
@wepollock I tempered my comment. Originally I was going to point out that Americans have no value in a global labor market of roughly 3 billion workers.
But without corporations there are no airplanes and cars. What we need to look at now is, when a corporation becomes too big, it starts behaving like a dictator run country. Stock buyers need to take responsibility for making them psychopathic.
We are facing a cycle of dismantling such psychopathic corporations and it's a short pain but long term gain. So witness getting victimized by it.
Must be garbage day around Chuck's house.
