@TheDivineShiver Most are around £350 or £400. One of ours came into our rescue and he ended up staying! So they do come up for adoption, I know there is one looking for a home, she is about three.
@Mollywoo18 I see, I see. I hope I can find one which I can adopt or which isn't too expensive. Because I don't care about the money, but my family does.
@TheDivineShiver I would check out the rescues. I will tell you now, one is never enough! They are addictive. You won't regret being owned by one though ;o)
I agree. I had a grey Norwegian for several years. He was a street rescue, and fit into our home like he was born there. I lost him to cancer and will one day adopt another.
Can anyone tell me if having Norwegian Forest Cats needed to have outdoor space for them? I'm planing to have one but I live in an apartment so having a wide outdoor area is impossible... anyone plss
Norwegian Forest Cats really like to go outside and climb into trees and to stroll around. My cat would go crazy if she couldnt go into our garden. Maybe better not to have one in an appartment only.
@Nadacruise if you want to teach your cat to be an indoor cat then you should never let them outside. you need to monitor the diet intake of your cat due to lower activity, desex it, provide scratching posts, bed and toys. Most places now encourage having an indoor because then the cat doesnt disrupt the wildlife outside and also if your cat is white or has a pink nose to protect it from skin cancer.
I have a weggie and he was an indoor cat for nearly 8 years. The only reason he become outdoor because our 2 year old kept letting him out. NFCs can be both indoor or outdoor. Just be sure to give them lots of attention. They demand it! :)
They are all so inquizitive and they seem so thoughtful... what an smart breed! I have a decendant of the NFC, a Maine Coon. He's my big love bug. ^_^

No you don't have too, but if you don't keep them outside while they're still young, they wont go outside when they grow up.
It's your choice.
