I love this track, can anyone tell me where I can get a copy of it. Tammy touched so many people with the emotion in her voice. There will never be another Tammy, Georgette is doing a great job and I wish her every success, I know Tammy would be so proud of her ~x~
Tammy was the "real Lady of Country Music" and thank you for sharing with us. I love Tammy and had a chance to see her in person In Plattsburg in 1989 and she was sensational. She is truly a lady who can sing like no other. Her style is unique. We wish you were still with us today. I love you Tammy! Will get all your albums and listen relentlessly always. You were so special. Too bad your Charley Rottten Ritchie was so greedy and cheating. May he burn in hell.

It's been so long now since I talked with you but I love you still Tammy. Your singing is/was the very best for my liking. I'll see you again in another place and listen to you sing with the other singing angels. God needed another in his heavenly choir; he choose you because you are the very best. Whever you are I hope you can read this Tammy!
I have been lucky enough to have seen tammy live in concert,in Australia.the best show I have ever seen.I have all her music and dvds. Her voice is so pure and perfect .I love and miss her every day.the most beautiful singer I have ever heard.

It is a beautiful voice and the song is a great song. It is such a shame she still isn't with us. I am sure her music has helped other people Such a nice lady. Pat
Have you ever listened to a song and can't get past the lyrics because the voice and music was just so beautiful you can't register? That is what Tammy's voice does to me, her voice is so powerful and beautiful it is hard to hear what she is saying, she hits high notes with ease and no effort, she is just a treasure and one of a kind.
Ohhhhhhh SING it Tammy!! I LOVE THIS SONG! You bring tears to my eyse with this kind of music. You are, were, and remain the BEST EVER Tammy.......we love and miss you! RELEASE ALLLLLLL OF TAMMY'S RECORDINGS SO WE CAN BUY THEM ON CDS!!!!!!!
I always thought I had nearly every LP album/CD released by Tammy. Can anyone tell us here which album this was released on? I've never heard it but gosh!...what a "tear jerker"! I LOVE IT! This is REAL country music folks, i.e. Americana at its best! God bless Tammy Wynette!
Am a filipino and love music but this woman and her voice really the most beautiful i ever heard in my life. I love her song so much. Too bad she is no longer with us. God Bless her soul. Her voice and message of her song is the one of the message to this hurting world. Thank You Tammy for leaving this songs for us to hear. so as the beloved who posted it. thank you... thank you.
@bil1228 I just meant that I didn't say that she WAS "The Queen of Country Music". She still is and always will be. That's a fact and not open for discussion (in my book),
Thank you for those kind words and I have been complemented before for them on this site. I cannot, however, take the credit for them; they are Tammy's own words. They come from the "Being gone" song on her "Soft Touch" LP.
I know the words to all her songs (I think) but that is the only I have never sung right through. When I get to "...place a spray of roses where you lay." I'm bawling my eyes out!
We need a Tammy Wynette wing on youtube, I bet she ranks very high with the number of daily hits on the site! Today's country should never be spoken in the same sentence with Tammy Wynette!!!
@bil1228 What really annoys me is that she seems to have been forgotten, country singers today barely even mention her in interviews when naming their inspirations and I just can't understand it, country today is complete rubbish & these singers couldn't hold a candle to Tammy.
This is such a beautiful song and done by the most Beautiful woman with the most beautiful voice ever...I miss Tammy so much...thanks so much for posting this..wonderful
