  • love seabiscuit. he's a true inspiration!

  • is it true that it was his sone or grandson that played his part?

  • What a great horse. There are some horses that win your heart through sheer courage and character, and usually emerge when people are looking for something to invest their hopes in. They may not be the best that ever put a head through a bridle, but they are the most beloved.

  • Hey thanks for the awesome video, with a behind-the-scenes look into the making of Seabiscuit! It's even got one of my favorite songs in it, written by Frank Lovato Jr...again thanks for the video!

  • SPIDERMAAAAN..

Why did the man hit the other? Strange :S

  • they were probably rehearsing for a sequence in the movie, you should watch the movie.

  • it was. In the movie the jockey of seabiscuit and war admiral(i think?) are hittin each other. It really is a good movie. I haven't seen it in a while and now I want to watch it!

  • It happens in the film so they must have been rehearsing it.

  • They are called "equicizers"

  • what are those "practice horses/Dummies" called?

  • I have to point this out, hes wearing a Tipperary Vest!!! hahaha!!!

  • Ricky Frazier, a professional jockey, was Tobey's stunt double, and did all of Tobey's riding

  • It probably wasn't really Tobey riding the horse in the movie.

  • NO!! Toby NEVER rode a live horse in any of the races. We rode next to the moving mechanical horse with race horses, giving the filmed perception 'Red' was riding with us. Tobey only rode a horse when they were walking, a couple of times jogging, and once at a slow gallop (around the tree when rehabbing).

  • @ForeQueTwo Yay Equicizer! ;) Again, thank you for posting this video with my song and Equicizers!! :)

    Frankie

PS, Another movie is in the works to be made over the next year and likely use the Equicizer

  • IS that Toby Maguire?????

  • YES!

  • I mean in the first bit - actually racing the horse - I dodn't know he could ride!!!

  • whats the song name and the artist?

  • Not sure of the song's title, but it the lyrics and music were by Frank Lovato, Jr., who also played all the instruments and sang. Frank is a retired jockey who makes the mechanical horses for jockeys to learn and rehab on, his 'horses' were used in the film.

  • lol. Thats sooooo awsome!

  • and how much r these?

  • over 50,000

  • No it's not... Around $5,000 max.

  • Really? I looked one up online and it was 45000

  • Wow, maybe it was a scam?

  • Maybe. haha

  • it shows how hard it is to be a jockey .

  • hey crimzonlogic if you want one just go to google and type in equicizer thats how I bought mine. They are awesome I ride it every day!!

  • so did toby actually ride the horse... for like everything or was there replacements for him??

  • Seabiscuit was 'acted' by six different horses. Tobey only rode in scenes where the horse was standing or walking, with the only exception where he galloped around the tree when Red & Seabiscuit were rehabing at the farm. At the very end of American Hero II video, you can see how Tobey 'rides' with the real jockeys. Watch the back hoofs of a horse right next to the camera truck. Within a few feet.

  • ohh thats kinda what i thought! lol! thanks for clearing that up for me :D

  • lol I want that Equicizer thing it's SWEET!!!

  • I'd love to meet toby. he seems really fun to be around

  • Hahaha that was thoroughly enjoyed.

  • "f****** slowest seconds in the world."

    lmao

  • I'm seriously thinking about purchasing an equicizer myself-for further jumping trainer. I tried one out at an expo and it's fun-they're about two grand or so-alot cheaper than one of the other 40 grand horse simulators.

  • do u have this song? can u send me?

  • Send an email address which can receive a 7mb file.

  • song name plzzzzz???

  • I am not sure if the song has a name. It was written and played by a jockey, Frank Lavato, Jr. Frank also makes mechanical horses to train and rehab jockeys. The mechanical horses in the video were made by Frank.

  • 3:25 is highlarious lol so funny still laughing now then a 3:29 he gets him back lol bye then they would have fallen off dontcha think? sumthin really funny would be if sum REALLY stupid person got on and said y aint the horse going nowhere? lol

  • This is a real exercise machine called equicizer. You can ride with pride in your own basement!

  • can we buy these somewhere or do you have to contact someone to make one for you?

  • omg!!! it is halarious at 4:25!!!! they were going physcio with the wips!!! lol

  • Wow that was great! Thanks for posting!

  • filming that scene looks exhausting

  • Is this a real movie coming out soon?

    reply back :D

  • If by "soon," you mean July 2005, sure... lol j/k

  • If by "soon," you mean July 2003, sure... lol j/k

  • this movie is from a few years ago

  • I love how real they made those horses look!

    haha! :)

  • Well beat me with a stick! lol

Honestly, that was great. Loved seeing such rare footage. Thanks for posting it.

  • How do you know all this?

  • The song was composed, all instruments played by, and sang by retired jockey Frank Lovato, Jr. Frank also builds the Equicizer, the mechanical horses used in the filming of Seabiscuit. Very talented individual.

  • Can you send me the music, please?

  • Send me your email or mail address.

  • Could I get the song too? =)

  • Send me your email address

  • I have always wanted to see this.I'm so happy.Thank you!!!
