i used to work on some of these things. to get the best A to B comparison of your invention, you should get a adjustable strobe light to highlight the slope of the chain without your tensioner. video alone is hard to pick up the particular modes of the chain.

Not really my invention, just a modification. I'll also add it has performed very well since 02/2008, I don't really need any other comparison data than the real-world daily use the modification has served very successfully for over a year and a half now but I appreciate your suggestion..

how many mph?

17-18mph stock. A sprocket change is good for a couple more mph but then you need to start worrying about possibly overloading the motor and burning the brushes on uphill grades or running it for extended periods.

if i were you i would get a little more hp for the engine and then upgrade the sprocket. Im new to gopeds but know alot about regular motors. Im getting my first one in a few days.
