Interesting, but I'm not so sure of his logic. One reason babies and children don't look up words, is they haven't learned that ability yet. Learning to do this can save time if done properly. I agree that listening and reading are important, but I think that's a given, nothing new or earth breaking here. There isn't one perfect method of learning that works for everyone. I don't think the solution is to forget dictionaries, but to implement more listening and reading as another tool.
