  • Or use a firewall

  • At 0:40 look at the user name xD

  • Maybe an updated version of this video might be good, it's been over a year so there could be some better software/tips now?

    Thank you for the video.

  • Please put the links in the description box for easy navigation.

  • How do I clear disc space from my windows vista hard drive?

Googled and tried all the usual (like disc clean up), not good enough ...

    Thanks,

    Mark

  • @IdyllicDream Sorry??!?

  • What about Spyware Terminator?

  • adoro seguridad informatica siempre he querido saber como las matematicas se aplican en este campo me parece super interesante

  • The free version of Malwarebytes and Superantispyware are also good programs to be used along side your anti-virus program as a second opinion scanner. The free version doesn't offer realtime protection, but does use the same detection technology as the paid version.

  • Secunia PSI is also a good program for checking for vulnerabilities.

  • loooooool username : piece0crap LMAO

  • Twitterman287 fav'd this.

  • Tunnel all of your traffic through a secure SSH connection when on public WIFI.

  • Lol, your username is piece0crap.

  • also another good way to prevent viruses that spread to usb drives is to turn off autoplay, run>cmd>gpedit>admin folder>windows components>turn auto play off>enable>set behavior to all drives>ok>exit. this prevents autoplay scripts associated with viruses to atuomatically install itself on to your computer. draw back is that you have to access my computer in order to open cdrom for soft installations or accessing usb drive, but you can always run a virus scan on the usb to scheck for viruses.

  • get DeepFreeze, it stops viruses alike from permanently damaging your computer, just reboot the computer and every thing is back to normal, I dont have anti virus, I use deep freeze. If I see a virus in play i just reboot and its erased.its an one time use 30 day trial but doesnt hurt to reload your oporating system every month either. or just buy the software for under $150 its compatible with xp, vista and 7, you can unlock it and reboot to install soft and lock it back down again and reboot

  • Why is this dude so smart!!

  • You're a lucky guy, i never recover my hacked accounts.

  • Here are some free softwares that are brilliant:

    ~Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.(Anti-Malware)

    ~Avast! Free Anti-Virus (Anti-Virus)

    ~Spybot: Search and Destroy.(Anti-Spyware)

    ~Ad-Aware.(Anti-Spyware)

    ~ZoneAlarm Free Firewall. (Firewall)

Both 'Ad-Aware' and 'Spybot', search for the same type of infections. I would run Ad-Aware normally, and double check that your PC is secured with SpyBot.

The Firewall should be running all the time, along with your Anti-Virus.

  • Nice

  • Vurneabilities -Secunia PSI

Antivirus + Firewall - Norton Internet security

No spybot needed if IS av is applied

And most important - use your goddamed head while surfing coz even best av suites have holes (or social attacks) you didn't mention that which means u know nothing bout IT security

  • Any other program like GFI but only free?

  • nice video

  • p2p guardian when using areas or limewire xD.

  • @GodGouken or, dont use limewire lol

  • @GodGouken It's not that good.

  • or buy a mac:)

  • Love what your doing! I'm learning a lot. Wondering if you could go into more detail about how to deal with the vulnerabilities that GFI Languard finds? I was able to install missing patches but couldn't figure out how to solve the open ports issue. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.

  • i use spyhunter4:)

  • i use avg

  • GFI is not free

  • @I8PeeMehrdad79 It is... just go through the registration for the 30 day trial to get the download, and then it will send you an email with an activation key to enter in when you go to run the program. It is for business so you have to enter a local business name or make one up to get the download.

  • @jedjedums I see

  • well, i i me me i i i . so there !

  • what internet browser you use?

  • fuck that

  • i cant download it unless i put my *company* information and my adress and stuff

  • helped me out thanks man good work

  • nice and sexy vid the way I like em ;)

  • ESET Smart Security 4 is the best security software in the world

  • When you download that "free" spy-ware program, you may as well download a program that's called "install your free spy-ware bugs, which this site is based upon here'.............Cause they're paying to be installed in your computer.

Pay a few bucks, you cheap bastard.

Backdoor spy-ware programs, are the "free" anti spy-ware programs.........you retard.

    Nothing much is free.

  • Lavasoft's Ad-Aware is also good.

  • @lololive10 I just found a virus on my computer. What was yours? Mine was a trojan horse. It allows whoever the hacker is to control your computer.

  • @Oppizippy no your wrong those are called backdoors trojans are files that can move copy delete and steal files from you they can also spread themselves the maker can copy files and move them from his computer to yours and even open ports for other hackers and virus makers to flood he also gets your ip which gives him the possibility of ddosing you

  • The best anti-spyware/anti-malware are Malwarebytes and Spyware Doctor.

  • download free hack softwares from hack-zones(.)tk

  • faltu

  • you should put links in your description.

  • I would suggest "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware" It's a free program that finds alot of viruses and malware that most virus scanners don't.

  • @thu12nv2012 I suggest Panda Security, It vaccinates your computer

and immediately gets rid of Trojans and Viruses

  • @thu12nv2012 Malwarebytes only scans malware bytes not virus;P

  • @thu12nv2012 i have that too. And i have AVIRA

  • thumbs up if you hate hackers

  • What programs do you use for making video clips?

  • Personally, I am pretty skeptical when someone claims their account was cracked. The odds of getting through with brute force or dictionary attacks is like 100k to one. It sounds to me like negligence on the users part. (Opinionated) Maybe use a phrase Ex Slapped and Attacked twice by the Great Drunk Monkey2010 = S&A2btGDM2k10. On another note get rid of windows. Personally I am a big fan of Slackware: Your computer at your fingertips. Not to mention it's more stable that windows. (Opinionated)

  • why!!!! do gfi taking like 1 hour to scan and its not moving. its at 1236 process

  • Good job as usual Daniel. Nice video.

  • how the hell did he get hacked i mean i know hes back but hes a computer legend and a utube legend the asshole who hacked him should get hacked. GIGAFIDE IS AWESOME!

  • Ey Tinkernut,

    I've got a question.

How do you make your videos?...

    Your vids are great!!

    Thanx!

  • he already did a video on that noob.

  • @Boonchocks Can you give me the link please?

  • finally spybot search & destroy finally got some love...... teatimer the residential shield that comes with it is the most effective security tool i have ever used... coupled with the use of cc cleaner once a week makes your computer unstoppable

  • @Boonchocks first this... you are an idiot and a noob.... i was using ad-aware years ago even before spybot search and destroy added the "residential shield" tea timer... ad-aware does a great job recognizing the most basic of application as an-adware including spybot S&D but then misses out on some of the most obvious CPU attack bots out there remember the one that makes multiple processes of iexplorer.exe that was very common... 1 download a lot i have 3 TB HD filled no issues with my setup

  • @Boonchocks you are advising people to use a file sharing system for computer security, im no computer geek but file sharing is a big no no if you want good comp security

  • @magnusalexa You have a good point there and I wasn't being very nice. Thank you for being patient on your reply. I mostly meant that ad-aware is better for spyware.

  • I didnt check your extra tips list, but Sandboxie should definitely be listed if it is not. Very very useful program

  • You Should Really Put The Links In The Description It Would Be Alot Easier.

    Good Tutorial!

  • Or just switch to ubuntu

  • Unknown Zero day vulns, Malware/viruses with no defining signatures, MITM, phishing, socian engineering. You can never keep your computer 'secure' and the user is the weakest link!

  • i still prefer nod 32 i use it for a long time and i didn't got any problems about viruses or something elese.

  • Even with all of this, you still won't pass FUD RATS.

  • Great video man. sorry you got hacked.. thumbs up...8)

  • Very good tutorial as always, thanks.

  • HHAH! at 0:43 User Name: piece0crap HAHA! XD

  • do you mind putting the links in the description?

  • LMFAO! How ironic... xD

  • AVIRA and Avg suck! Avast is much better.

  • @fishcomputer33 .....AVG I agree, AVIRA I disagree, AVAST is good at detecting viruses but sucks when it comes to detecting adware. if you don't believe me then watch these video's

Avast AntiVirus Review install and update

    watch?v=Kjp6Rhb3Fl8

Avast AntiVirus Review boot time scan

    watch?v=pG0-4NHCa_g

    Avast AntiVirus Review - Conclusion

    watch?v=Y518F6VVR4w

if u dont watch the 1st two then watch the Conclusion..

  • untrue

  • @fishcomputer33

    i agree.

  • the funny thing is you just got hacked nd your telling us how to secure our computer,, kinda off putting

  • @MANiiCZ dude people dont take notice of their ports being opened and a lot of other stuff cause a lot of time you need them open to do certain jobs. tinkernut might have had them opened by mistake.

  • @ebildude123

lisen to him hes a pro

  • Good video as usual and congratulations on getting your account back.

  • Opps I mean @spikerbrad23

  • Spikerbrad32 i was thinking the same

  • Check out my new video on norton internet security 2010 to give my review on it

  • Norton Internet Security is also a very good anti-virus program :)

  • whoa they did 227 vid in hmm well I dunno lol

  • avira is ok, but the free version has an annoying pop up telling you to upgrade to pro.

  • i like how he gets hacked, and now hes giving us tips on how to stay secure.....

  • LOL

  • LMFAO! That's wat I was thinking xD

  • Just want to say thanks for the great videos. They have helped me more than I can say. You do a great job at giving the info with out making it so "tech savy" that I can't understand it. Again Thank You...

  • Favorited. Thanks for the great videos!

  • Is it at all possible to stream video from my iPod Touch to my computer via Wifi or USB?

For example, if I had a video opened up in Safari on my iTouch, I would be able to plug my iPod in my computer and possibly run it through a program that would play that video on my computer from my iPod?

Or, possibly a program that would allow me to control my iPod via my computer?

  • actually, malwarebytes is betterrrrrrr

  • Oh, almost forgot you computer has a key logger do your own research or i might byte.

  • @isaisai9192

The word should be "your." And who are you responding to?

  • Wow, you just might keep me out after all

  • Very nice video. Worked out well! I'm still super glad you're back =]

  • be nice if you put the links in the side bar

  • username on that GFI was piece0crap

  • Thanks for the tips!!! When you say firewall, I assume you mean firewall software. Is that correct?

  • Now as I understood it, you were phished, not necessarily "hacked" per say, right? All the antivirus and firewalls in the world don't protect against that.... right?

  • you did this already!

  • AVIRA FTW

  • very usefull information Thanks Giga...

  • KASPERSKY INTERNET SECURITY FTW!!

  • hey i like to put up a lot of FamilyGuy vids on youtube but i speed them up so they sound funny but people get mad coz of that so i have been hacked 2 times and somone hacked my youtube and taken of 2 of my vids so to stop this i got two programs on my computer one is called norton and one is called mcAfreeboth cost money

her is how mutch they cost

    norton 40 = 50 £$£$£$

    mcAfree 22 = 40 £$£$£

and they both have free free trial that you can download hope this helped...

  • I always use Avira.

    And Outpost.

  • lol 0:42

  • 0:41 lol piece0crap

  • do a tutorial on how to use vegas pro 9.0

  • Great vid, thanks!

  • Very helpful. Thank you

  • didn't you say you were using windows security essentials before? What happened to that, or is it what lead to you being a hack target?

  • I leave all my ports open :) And haven't installed any antivirus :P

  • if you were hacked what qualifies you to tell people on how to secure their computers? It's really not that hard, keep a full internet security and antivirus software up to date and you'll be fine. worked for me for..well ever,

  • @procax0 good luck w/ undetectable (UD) viruses then...which is how i was hacked. if ur depending on antivirus programs, then ur screwed.

  • @gigafide I don't just detect on anti-virus, I have Firewall software, rootkit detection, spyware detection, link-scanner for browser, e-mail scanner and and online and offline shield to protect from harmful software executing. I frequently scan with spyware s&d and don't have any open ports. Also have a router with another Firewall protecting me from external direct attacks and no open or forwarded ports. Currently my main protection is AVG Internet Security (latest edition) w/ 4-hourly updates

  • @procax0 yes u need a firewall

  • @888kermit huh? I just said I had a software firewall and a hardware firewall? It's the most important part of any security system

  • hah! Linux PWNS all.

  • Haha my computer passed all tests =D

    thanks Nod32 and opera

  • How do i get rid of backdoors made by trojans ? i have 22 please help

  • for spyware i like malwarebytes myself it found stuff spybot couldn't find

  • i use MSE

  • avira for life! lol iv had it a long time only bad thing is it picks up fake viruses and it updates alot

  • spybot is verry old.

it is weak in this time.

    superantispyware is better tinkernut :).

  • 1,111 views - win

  • Malwarebytes is good for spyware and anything inbetween. I personally use Spyboy and Avast for virus protection though.

  • another great indepth video

  • @gigafide After installing Norton 2010 on my computer, it became very slow so i uninstall it and reinstalled Kaspersky 2010 which actually made it worse, so i uninstall it and reinstalled my old antivirus kaspersky 8 but the problem wasn't fixed at all, so can you please show me how i can fix it, everything became slow, internet, OS, programs etc..

  • watch my video man. i have a video how to help you make your computer faster. i usually dont like to do this but you seem to want help

  • @monkeyrahha I just finished watching your video, and let me tell you that i already have (or should i say had bc i removed it yesterday) CCcleaner bc frankly it's useless, but thanks anyway.

  • you sound sad :(

  • In the future, please put links in the description too. :)

  • and how to i block vulnerable ports? :(

  • WHAT!!?!?!? Comodo didn't make the cut?

  • I thought it would be impossible to hack TINKERNUT. tsk

  • im using Microsoft Essentials and Malwarebytes

  • I prefer Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware to Spybot and they are both free.

  • Could you put links in your sidebar for everything you talk about in your videos?

  • Good video, spybot is great.

Sorry but I couldn't help laughing at 3:09.

  • daym u were hacked

  • @critter2324 he mentioned it a few videos agoo

  • I trusted Google Crome and other programs, However, I could not copy flv to my computer hard drive so I went back to IE, BUT I could NOT delete Crome and the other programs unless I do it by files. Doing that causes my computer to crash! As it is I cxannot get Moviemaker to work. I had to reformat my computer but still NO MOVIEMAKER!

  • What OS are you running?

  • @Dallouez there is alternates

  • what software do you use to make the animations for your videos ?

  • it may sound stupid, but i think he told us he uses something like MS paint

  • @richishard He use After Effect But lol. U wont be good as him in one try.

  • @richishard he uses adobe after effects he said in a live show

  • adobe after effects

  • Why dont you give the link in the description?

  • The most harmful virus is Java exploit. And the most better anti virus is Microsoft Security Essentials.

  • The funny thing is, that's how the hacker got into so many Youtube accounts. He admitted to using Java exploits to hack Gigafide's account and 100's of others..

  • nod32

  • I like avira but it slows my computer down too much so I prefer avast! :)

  • me too plus i like the voice :D

  • spybot? what about superantispyware?;)

  • nessus is quite a good vunerability scanner (and then you can use nmap and metasploit to exploit them)

  • by hacked do you mean youtube or your computer (if so, it was probably because you use windows ;)

  • i*ve got avast and it works perfectly for me !!! :D

  • Lol, my AV actually blocked the entire website when the test started. I guess im browser-secure?

  • im witch way wure you hacked

  • Firewall
