also she seems to understand something that a lot don't - by sharing stuff you increase interest, it's no different to when we used to make a cassette of a few songs for our mates and gave it to them to listen to - and then they'd go out and buy the album cos we'd introduced them to a new artist.
i've also downloaded songs to see if i like it before buying the album (though less necessary now with things like spotify) and the same with games - a lot can't be bothered with demos anymore
