  • i use strawberry syrup and chocholate syrup and mix

  • I use corn sirup. Soja sauce and Red food collering. also blue if needed.

  • I use Cocoa powder, Karo corn syrup, and red and green food dye. If you let the mixture sit in the fridge a few days prior to use it coagulates :)

  • @hopesterocks **vomits**

  • I just make with some corn syrupe , color pink and color brown

    everything is foodstuff

  • Delicious?

  • i use koolaid with 10 drops of water and a little bit of corn syrup

  • Or just strawberry syrup???

  • I see no use for the corn syrup! food coloring and chocolate syrup is my resipe (I'll use it)

  • i called them! :)

  • look like bad skin conditon but good tutorial

  • Cool I am makeing the knife in head.

  • @roguecereal and thats called being emo! :) yah...

  • i think red and blue food coloring add more "real" to the blood. just got to add it a few time to get the color..

  • @roguecereal *gasp*

  • is corn syrup the same as normal syrup?

  • IF YOU NEED ALOT FAST!!!!! WITH LIKE 5 BUCKS/ REDVELVET CAKE MIX WITH WATER WORKS GREAT!!!!!!

  • also a cheep way is... wait till halloween then go to wwalmart and buy some... they sell it in bottles

  • @mickieftw

or you dont wait and buy fake blood in prop stores or magic stores

  • Easy fake blood.

1 thing of $.99 hair gel

1 thing of red food coloring.

mix together and you got it.

  • Or you just simply it a lot and add a little chocolate syrup to a lot of strawberry syrup.

Or you can go all out and make it as realistic as you can, avoiding syrups altogether. I've been working on a few recipes, some involving carrageenan and others involving food ingredients.

  • does food coloring stain clothes???

  • There is choclate syrup?

  • PLEASE DO A BFX FOR STUFF CRALWING OUT OF A TV OR MIRROR!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @99emobunnies - I saw a cool prop someone made by fastening black spandex over the opening of an old television set. A person would get inside of it from the back and push their face into it. It looked like a face was protruding from the screen. Very cool effect.

  • Try mixing cherry/tropical punch Kool-Aide mix, water, soy sauce, and a bit of thick barbecue sauce for a VERY realistic fake blood.

  • @canthinkify yum.

  • how much of the stuff do you need

  • yum

  • you can use concentrated strawberry juice to make some thick realistic blood. its edible, but it tastes like hell :O

  • it would be cheaper to just BUY the fake blood if you don't have the ingredient's listed in the video.

  • @MesoAsian - 16oz of store bought fake blood will run you up to $8.99. If you spent an equal amount of $ on the ingredients in this video you could make a lot more than 16oz of blood and it would look a lot better than the store bought blood. Cheaper still would be to extract some real blood from a neighborhood bully!

  • @MesoAsian no its cheaper to make it because buying pre made fake blood cost atleast 10 bucks

  • @acdcandnerf No it doesnt WTF it cost like 2 bucks where i live.

  • @TheRetard818 well where i live its 8 bucks besides u cant find it unless its halloween

  • @acdcandnerf OH shit thats alot they sell it here at wallgreens everyday lol.

  • @TheRetard818 ill have to check tht out at m walgreens

  • cool

  • A friend of the family made blood for a movie... That really was all her job consisted of. And this was the exact recipe she used.

  • When I saw the picture for this video i expected him to mention Hitchcock's use of chocolate syrup in Psycho.

  • how gay it doesn't tell u how to do it

  • I've seen a lot of people asking for a retractable arm-blade a la "Assassin's Creed". The problem you have is creating a two spring system. Having two springs work in tandem with one another is hella difficult, especially if you're planning on keeping the device extended for long periods of time. Each spring has to overcome the tension of the other, good luck figuring it out.

My advice? Build the quick draw device backyard fx made and edit it in post.

  • Can u make a key blade

  • I agree with what 45CaliberKid and milkman76879 asked. Though it would be a little complicated to make the bracer design and make the blade launch out and retract, I'm confident that they could make it with ease.

  • so you just mix them?

  • can you make the assassins creed 2 hidden blade?

  • could u make the assassins creed hidden blade

  • or just ketchup and water...

  • i remember for one movie i had to spit out blood like i was barfing it .... we had katchup water and sugar

  • learn something new every day

  • ketchup + coffee works fine too. tastes awful though

  • @melnorm, ketchup doesn't look really real :-)

  • Its not hard..Honey and red & blue food coloring is an easy mix

  • @TheAtheistsOpinion Hard to push through a tube though

  • put a sausage in blender and add it too the mixture

  • i made fake blood with strawberry sauce, some chocolate sauce, and corn starch to thicken it a little so it wouldnt drip too much, and it looks (and tastes) fantastic, which is what i wanted for around my mouth (:

  • awsome idea man

  • haha love the "Yum!"

  • and psycho

  • tasted so good because i added a little pinch of love to the blood

  • hahahha lol

  • yum

  • or u can use Strawberry syrup...

  • I think the brown in the chocolate syrup adds a more realistic tint to the blood.

  • That's true because when I used to kill animals before I became a veggie, when I would gut them, the fresh hot blood would be very dark, sometimes even brown in colour, then it would set like jelly.

  • thanks for that tidbit mr manson. would you yell at the carcasses as well?

  • hahahahahhaha

  • @Luthienwolfie And it makes it thicker witch is really great.

  • makes it to pink and stickier. so good for coagulated on skin effects

  • did any one here of the story bloody Mary

  • no but ur mom did!

  • Yeah! In the original Night of the Living Dead, they used chocolate syrup for blood...in B&W, looks real!

  • mmmhh chocolate zombies

  • or if you are making a film then you can put it in your mouth then just spit it out...so u dont swallow it

  • if done it before u can drink it.

  • it comes from a tree in south america

  • can u drink it

  • idk maybe theres nothing harmful ingredient...

  • you could wouldnt sudgest it it would be really sweet but realy UNhealthy

  • If he said it's delicious, then YES, you can.

  • corn syrup, that wont make you sick.

  • yeah it makes you sickk. and i really dont think you want to be sick fer a week or so

  • no no no, corn syrup is an everyday food ingrediant, your thinking of either vinegar oil, or cooking oil, if you drink either of them straight, you may get sick

  • @BigdogWitBigdog

It's in almost everything you eat, idiot. High fructose to be exact, which is even worse.

  • note: when adding the chocolate powder (you can use coffee as well) make sure he mixture is warm or hot. the coffee or chocolate grainules will not dissolve otherwise. hope this helps

  • ive made some fakeblood before and a good recipe is:

mix water and flour together until a near thick liquid is formed. add a few drops off red food colouring. if ur doing it right u will see that it is bright red. dont worry. add some chocolate powder to ur fake blood until it looks realistic. you can test it on ur finger if u want. if ur substance is to thick add some COLD water. if u add hot then the mixture will become very thick. if its not thick enough add more flour.

  • w8 do u add hot worm or cool water with the flour?

  • after u have mixed the flour and the red food colouring etc, u can boil the mixture on a very low temperature so that the mixture is warm. this should allow the chocolate or coffee grainules to easily dissolve and make the blood darker. when u boil it your mixture may become thicker. i made that mistake but adding cold water easily fixes that problem.

  • hey eric I live in ireland so I cant get corn syrup. is there another name for corn syrup? and if there isn't what else can i use

  • look for Caro syrup, though thats the brand, so I'm not sure if that helps.

  • you can make corn syrup- you will need 1 cup of sugar 1/2 of water- bring all ingredients to a boil make sure all surgar has melted let it cool and you have corn syrup enjoy :)

  • does it wash out?

  • Also, what does quite well is Brown Sauce...

That is of course, if you have english zombies to nibble on the bloody intestines...

  • na, good old Tommy K never fails :p (ketchup).

Mix a bit of red, pink and black food colouring to get the perfect colour.

Add water and cornflour to get as much of it and as make it as thick as you want :)

  • i had some soap so i can wash it off my clothes esier

  • wow..that really helped >.>

  • does any one know a free and easy fx software and where to download it

  • Dont bother trying to dl go all the way and buy the top stuff like sony vegas

  • :O Amazing. I have to make a video for my school! It'll use lots o' blood. Mwahahhaa.

  • They don't sell corn syrup in my country! When I went to the supermarket they didn't even know what it was :(

  • i had that problem. liquid glucose works the same way.sticky as hell though.

oh yeah, and add a little bit of blue food colouring too, otherwise the blood looks pink, and crap.

  • u could try honey that might work

  • it woulnd come out right cuz the color of the honey is a yellow color

  • i have same problem :( Try using something "gooshy" like a syrup but not so like water...*make shure that syrup u are using has no color*

  • Best fake blood I have ever done was with mapple sirup, water, red colorant and mashed red beets for skin effects. That way your blood can stick on the walls pretty good and the taste isn't bad.

  • might try that

  • do you just stur it all up?

  • yes you do stir it up

  • Comment removed

  • dont eat it, it taste awful

  • ?

    i don't understand

i shold shake some chocolat and ketchup?

    sorry my bad english

    i'm portuguese

  • Look for corn syrup or glucose syrup, add some water, red food coloring, and a little bit of chocolate syrup(I would use strawberry for its color, though)

  • thanks!

    5 stars for you

  • No problem.

  • actually, a small ammount of chocolate syrup is better specifically for its color. it gives the blood a more realistic darkness

  • I'm from Brazil, and I really can't find Corn Syrup, so I used "glucose syrup" instead (I don't know if that's the right name), and It worked pretty well =]

  • it's the same thing xD lol

  • how about to make it even cheaper, what about strawberry syrup?

  • great just made it hands are sticky tho

  • mix water and ketjup!

  • but that wouldnt be tasty and the water would make it more pink than blood color

  • Thanks for the idea, man.

And the normal syrup I'm talking about, is called light syrup or something. I'm not sure what the "real" name is, but it's too thick to be maple syrup. ;)

  • yea i think it is called light syrup

  • Thanks for the recipe.

Tho, instead of cornsyrup, can you use normal syrup? And instead of chocolate syrup, can you use chocolate sauce?

  • boob

  • woot

  • and if u have water fire crackers u can blow it up

  • Brain exploding effect!

  • oh hey matthewbyrne try getting x.x2 as your price for gas so ur ripping off the government! ahaha haha ah I'm hilarious.

  • i find the chocolate syrup makes the mixture too opaque

  • blood is really opaque dumbass!

  • yeah no blood is translucent but in high quantity it appears opaque, and next time be more polite no one likes a flamer

  • do u just mixthem all toghether?

  • well no. you pour the corn syryp on the actor. then splash with red food dye then eat the chocolate syryp! of course you do!!!!!!!

  • Owned

  • Comment removed

  • look on the bright side in the old days when the actors got done with the scene they could eat the chocolate

  • Yeah this worked but im in auss "so me and my friend used maple seruip instead of corn"

    Worked realy well......

kinda thick and it was nicee for using to stay on someones face.....

    Thanks BFX

  • what is the recipe for it??

  • i meant how much of each ingredient

  • doesnt matter try to even it all out .

ex. 1 cup for each 1/4 cup of chocolate syrup.

  • just put like 2 spoon full of syrup in and a spoon full of corn syrup and then add food coloring usually a few drops work and if you want add water

  • "corn syrup, corn syrup, corn syrup" god fucking damnit is there not a single fake blood recipe without corn syrup? I live in the UK and I can't find any here.

  • Golden syrup is the uk equivalent. Alternativley, you can use a flour recipe, email me for details.

  • corn syrup not in the uk??? why?

  • Yea, i would like to know the answer to that one....

  • haha I thought that this clip was kinda funny..yamm...xD

  • ketchup doesn't look like blood, but this one time i asked for like 2 packs of ketchup, they filled one of those big bags with ketchup packets for me at mcdonalds...dumbasses

  • ya they tend to not listen very well

  • i know right

  • or you could go into mcdonalds and ransack all of the ketchup

  • lol, i've used ketchup for a costume before...all it does is make your clothes stiff and your skin reek of tomatoes. not very effective, but i was cutting it close.

  • ahah xD

  • EAZY AZ 1....2...3!!!!!
