  • awesome i remember singing this at school back in 1990

  • Im gonna link this to a friend of mine - This should be viewed everywhere!

  • This is my home :) <3

  • I totally agree with you singlehanded, yes the only thing wrong with this beautiful song accompaning an awesome back drop on New Zealand, was that it never showed any grass roots rugby & the All Blacks, because if it had, then this would've been the ideal song to promote the RWC 2011 here in NZ..BUT BIG UPS TO THIS SONG & VID..classic kiwi song..love our country.

  • I stand to be corrected but I think this song came out the year of our sesquicentenary (1990), we did this song at senior Prizegiving assembly that year and every year following but I remember 1990 also because my brother was dux lit that year. Done well, with that divergence done properly, it is an awesome song

  • Will post lyrics in parts: The city streets beneath your feet can make you tough. I’d fought for fame, but when it came too much was never enough. But in my mind once in a while I’d find a place to be; where air is pure and water’s fresh, and people are your family. It took some time to figure out I’d gone off the track; but somewhere in a dream I heard a voice calling me back. To New Zealand, kainga tuturu; it’s the part of me that no-one else can own. New Zealand, deep down in my heart;
