That is just not the truth. Dogs enjoy companionship, particularly with their owners. They will play fetch with a ball or other toys because they enjoy the companionship. The driving factor that motivates pigs is a selfish want to consume food constantly- that is simply reality. Pigs are selfish animals that is why pig, hog and swine all mean selfish greedy and etc. Either way if people like having pigs that is fine, I just know that I had a roommate that had one and it was rough.

Yes it is showing affection toward its owner, who continues to provide it with food- what a surprise. The entire time the pig continually had to be treated with food to be responsive. Have you ever seen a dog show or competition, is the owner running around with a bag of treats, or does the dog respond out of general affection for its owner? If I took you out to dinner would you show me appreciation? sure. That doen't mean that the pig likes the owner its likes that the owner gives it food.
