Actually this song was one of there FIRST recorded in mid - 1975 in Seattle Washington for there FRIST album,...But was put on there 3rd album - 1978 - Magazine
I'll tell ya who's heartless. MusicMike2, and the KSMusicGeeks. They blocked me from makin' comments on their vids. Mike, for reiteratin' his chart positions that he says in his setup to the songs. KSMusicGeeks, for sayin' that Dan Seals' beliefin Baha'i didn't guarantee that he made it to Heaven. I've tried apologizin' to all of 'em, nicely, but, the silly guys WON'T unblock me. Somebody help me get through to 'em, that I'll only comment the way that they want me to. Thanx for any help.
I remember listening to this song thru these giant Infinity speakers powered by the Pioneer monster 270 wpc receiver. Powerful recording and performance that surely gave that system a work-out. Great memories from that golden age.
One of my greatest wishes is for Ann and Nancy to do a reunion with Roger Fisher and the rest of the guys that made their seventies sound so.....POWERFUL.
Heart sounded so much better before Roger Fischer left the band. He was pretty well the reason for the melodys and guitar work you hear in their songs, they lost an important element in their sound, you can hear the difference in the songs after he left.
@glimmer2158 That's pretty cliche of you. Heart did the synth thing better than anyone. If you wanna complain that some bands "sold out" or whatever other tired, overused terms you heard watching VH1 that you wanna use, that's fine, because some bands just relied on the "synth thing" and made bad music. But don't say it about bands that still made unbelievable music when they rolled with the synth tide in the 80s. "Synth pop" is like anything else, a great thing if you do it right, and they did.
@glimmer2158 Synth was around long before the 80's. If it wasn't for synth we would still be listening to country and folk music from the 1940's and 1950's you idiot. Even Elvis Presley and the Beatles were interested in adding more synth to their music both studio and live.
@glimmer2158 You're absolutely right. Heart's guitar oriented rock from the 70's is far superior to their 80's stuff. "Synth pop" is why the 80's is more or less a barren wasteland for music. It took Nirvana and the grunge movement to breathe new life into rock in the early 90's.
This is my fave Heart song of all time. Sadly, they did not play it at their recent concert, but oh well. And I don't think you have to qualify this as a "woman" rock and roll band. They are a rock band, period. When this album was recorded, they had 2 women and 4 men in the group - hardly a woman band, but I understand the statement. :)
hey superk did the heart sisters do any thing ever with chris cornell...i heard they sang wild horses with him at layne staley's funeral?...figured you might know...great uploads man really appreciate....
