  • ....Awesome...................................

  • Great job Jimmy!

  • thats a big load but ive moved and seen bigger

  • Wow Giant load! is that where the sand tar plant is?

    Thanks for video

  • It is just beautiful

  • The only shitty thing about this is they are fabricated in Edmonton and trucked up north... Screw Edmonton! Keep all the McMurray work in McMurray!

I hate Edmonton... What a dump! I took a $70,000 per year pay cut when I moved from Ft. McMurray to Edmonton. What we guys do for women...

I sure am glad I'm not in Edmonton anymore! I probably would have killed myself! lol

Oh well, maybe Edmonton will be hit by a big meteor one day and wiped from the face of the earth... lol

    Cool video though!

  • @EruditeCanadian Sorry but you must be Torontarded or have Newffets syndrome.

The reason why they are built in Edmonton is the cost to build in Fort Crack would increase the cost 1-2 million dollars. And if you like paying over 300 grand for a piece of shit mobile home, hey Fort Mac is for you. I support the Oilsands and have done many fuel deliveries to Franklin avenue over the years, but the town is full of *crackheads and *newfies.. * = IQ.. ( I am kidding about the IQ!!) or am I??????

  • @1hotfred

I love the Newfies! What's wrong with Newfies? I'd take Newfies over Torontards as you put them any day.

I would rather pay 300G for a mobile home and make 120G a year and my wife make 100G a year than live in Edmonshit and make 50G a year and my wife make 30G a year and still have to pay 200Gs for a trailer. The math doesn't work!!!

Edmonton = shitty standard of living

Fort McMurray = Very good standard of living

And there's way more drugs in Edmonton than McMurray...

  • @1hotfred

Furthermore, as far as the cost is concerned; you are talking about oil companies that make millions of dollars every shift... A couple million dollars is nothing to them. Besides, better that 2 million dollars be going to tradesmen than to fat cat billionaire investors so they can make a couple of points on their portfolio.

If you are a truck driver, you could probably make at least double in McMurray what you make in Edmonton. Blue collar workers up here are valued, unlike Edmonton

  • @EruditeCanadian So you think that because everything is overinflated in Fort Mac that the corporations "owe" the overpaid workers the money? This is why everything is overpriced in Fort Mac. The extra money a rich person like yourself makes is spent on living expenses. The local economy is out of reality and needs another cooling period. And the wages being duble??? Why do I see drivers leave Edmonton and return BACK to ask for their job back. Its a pipe dream buddy. Ive seen the patchecks.

  • @1hotfred

Corporations owe their employees a fair wage. Which they don't get in Edmonton. As a machinist I made $40/hr + OT, double time on weekends. I was just working for a small independent machine shop in town, not on site working for the big oil companies. I made $120,000 gross on my T4 each year. When I moved to Edmonton, I couldn't find a job for 6 months, and when I did, it paid me $24/hr, no overtime ever.

No pipe dreams there man, just a living wage

  • @1hotfred

One thing I have seen though, is guys come from elsewhere and have heard the stories and think that they can screw around and still have a job making the big money. Those are usually the guys that wind up getting canned and bad mouth the place to everyone else.

If you go to Fort McMurray with a good attitude, the sky is the limit.

That's not true about the living expenses either, I didn't save on rent what I lost in wages moving to Edmonton. Lost about $3000/month in net wages

  • @1hotfred

I agree that certain things are out of touch, like house prices. But house prices are out of touch everywhere in Canada for the most part. Especially in Edmonton. My Wife's brother bought a house for $400G in Edmonton in 2008ish. Nice, but nothing special. The same house in Ft. Mac would be 550-600G.

So my wife and I can make 3 times more money and only pay 50% more for a house compared to Edmonton.

Housing is more expensive in Edmonton in relation to wages than it is in Fort Mac.

  • @EruditeCanadian That might be true, however what I see in Fort Mac are people living way beyond reasonable expenses. If you lose your job, you may be in a load of crap . Financed 70 grand pickup, financed home, financed quads, financed trailer.

Have an at work injury and then you are SCREWED beyond belief. However if you are smart and dont be like the Jones, you can live a very good life in Fort Mac. Just never relay on next months paycheck The summer is to die for.

  • @1hotfred

Yeah, there is plenty of that up there. Plenty of punks that don't realize how good they have it and how hard it is to make a good living anywhere else. You can get jaded after a while, even I did... I just wish I was back up there again... :'(

I've lived and worked in Campbell River and Quesnell BC, Edmonton, Lloydminster, Grande Prairie, and many places in Ontario, and I have to say the best place I've been is McMurray. (BC was nice, but no work or money!)

    Peace. :)

  • I wonder what would happen if it fell off

  • Standard :)

  • ooohhh Mama!!

  • are you a trucker? darkbin

  • i think the heaviest load ever was the load I was carrying after i ate taco bell then took a shit

  • fort mac straight up

  • @perryistocool agreed !

  • now thats big you can make that into a house or maybe appartments with 2 rooms each :P

  • mammoet kenworths?

  • What's sickening about it , soaphomo??

That's what we do here. We're like to doozers on fraggle rock, we build the f--- out of things and make the oil industry grow for you and your family.

    ALBERTA PROUD!!

  • sickening

  • damn!

  • dsegarreuth,

Get a life you moronic imbecile.

When we move these loads, it is well posted in advance the route they will take and the escort vehicles do the best they can to keep traffic flowing and minimize any delays by the traveling public. We don't ruin the land or do any damage to roadways or anything else. We move stuff likes this for a living and are PROFESSIONAL in how we do our jobs.

So relax and enjoy the ride.

  • I work up there and have seen a few much larger than this one.

  • Comment removed

  • Whatever the hell that is, I don't want it to come loose and roll over my car.

  • If you type Scammell Contractor in you will see a British truck that is rated @ 240 tons solo. They have been known to move near 1000 tons by themselves. Power comes from a 275BHP Cummins driving through a semi automatic gearbox. They are one hell of a truck... Often seen working in multiples mainly for extra braking power and to make the job easier.

  • All that for "dirty oil", eh? Too bad. I wonder if Alberta will end up like West Virginia.

  • Hmm coming from an american Why dont you start riding a bike Because its the USA that is the reason we are harvesting the oil sands. 2/3 of the oil in canada gets shipped to the USA . So in the end it is mainly the Usa's fault , then your government has the nerve to say we are the problem

  • Please don't blame me for what my stupid corporate government does. The people don't really choose their leaders here, although some people still believe they do.

  • what is that its pulling

  • coker ovens

  • My cousin owns Premay!!

  • Its a coke drum they use it to get excess carbon out of the bitumen i was one of the welders that built them at cessco in edmonton. lots of work

  • what are they carrying looks a a huge drill

  • Should go faster once that highway is 4 laned

  • I wouldn't say. The size of the highway doesn't affect the size and weight of the load. The driver has to go that slow or he'll lose control.

  • I Know I drive for singer specialized in Calgary

  • Yeah, thats gonna be awesome,, FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ARE AROUND IN THE YEAR 3000

  • holy crap...

that thing probably weighs as much as Rosie O'Donnell.

  • At least its a lot better looking.

  • @gonzales8765 lol

  • Man, we didn't have to cut down powerlines. And it was on highway 63 coming from a factory down there, I remember we had to pull of the road so it could fit on the highway because we have no infastructure here in fort mcmurray and it's a single lane highway.

  • isnt that the thing or part of the thing that they use to take the oil out of tar sand?

  • Thats a big move.

  • What are they hauling? ...never seen truck "pushers" before...

  • this is a tiny haul i saw one go through town a few months ago with three truck pulling and four pushing. it looked aqward to steer

  • I remember that load, they had it come through our city overnight so it wouldn't cause traffic problems.

  • I'm not exactly sure what route they're taking. i believe it's from Edmonton to Fort McMurray.

  • at this moment. premay equipment are moving an even heavier load. the trailer itself weighs under 600 tons and the net weight with the object is just under 1000 tons.

  • Interesting...do you know where it is right now? I'd head out there in the morning to get some video footage of it and some still photos.

  • they actually have to cut the power lines to make vessels like this travel.

  • they go by my house..enroute to FT Mcmoney, alot of the lower powerlines have been permanently tunnelled under the roads.

  • now are the rear trucks pulling or r they there for stopping power?

  • i meant pushing.

  • They are pushing in tandem. I suppose they have brakes too ;o)

  • Well they would be ding both pushing and used for stopping but you dont use foot brakes you just use engine brakes as the trailer would have a lot of stopping power

  • Cool

  • It's a Coke Drum not a Coke Oven, but either way.

It come's in three sizes Wee, not so wee, and FREAKING HUGE> :)

  • A380 parts

  • fucking retard they are parts for oil refineries and stuff not a plane. Your an idiot

  • WOW ! that's big

  • That would take a lot of quarters at the toll booth lol.

  • impressive

  • anyone seen the palin vid?

  • yea what i don't want to do is set all those brakes in the mud. or grease it. any idea what the GVW on that is? and what is it?

  • Go Canada

  • what is use for

  • Hmm you probably have to break the laws of physics to stop this mammoth.

  • @wahkao1990 Nah, weight stop it by himself.

  • do you work for mammoet. those are pretty close to the vechicles

  • wow thats huge

  • that's bloody massive !!

  • what are they used for?

  • Be interesting to see it fall off and roll down a steep hill......maybe

  • hell yea lol and into a building

  • awsome, freaking massive

  • bigger than big, larger than large, quite enormous not to mention huge and gigantic ;o)

  • whooooaaaa that looks like my aunt :P

  • Reactors of a submarine.

  • 500 tons is the weight of a fully loaded 747.

  • That is a coker shilo.....I worked up in fort mac last year , the place sucks. I was there long enuff to know what that is tho....its used at the oil refinery plants.

  • There are no refineries in Fort McMurray. They are called upgraders. They upgrade bitumen to crude oil which is then refined at refineries

  • u would of thought that standing there was safe till that thing rolls off ther...

  • Awesome sight indeed, but sucks when you've been on location 36hrs straight with a minimum of 5 hrs sleep if that only to then be stuck on the highway behind these monsters. Although even in the afternoons a dirty little motel bed is a welcoming sight.

  • Dannnnnng

  • The truck works for the company Mammot.

Go to their web site you will see more amazing movies about extremly big machines.

  • Holy crap, I saw that tank sittin there and wondered what brought it in...now I know!

  • Well... at least you won't get a speeding fine.

  • no doubt

  • maybe hel get a fine for driving too slow.

    haha

  • awesome

  • Imagine trying to overtake that thing during rush hour.

  • Spaventoso o.o

  • holy shit that car has got some tourque

  • That's incredible..real he-man stuff

  • Awesome!!

Where would they be without Truckers.

  • probably hiring creepy guys in caravans to haul stuff i imagine ;)

  • pero que coño es esto

  • my grandpa owns dacro and i have been to Cessco and theyre vessels are much sloppeyer

  • theyre coke drums

  • I've done NDT inside 4 of these at Dacro and Cessco in Edmonton. I must say I was blown away by sheer size of them, it almost seems like a football field inside of a can. Pretty damn impressive I must say.
