  • marios got a boner

  • Well, I don't know if there's a Level editor, but there is a SMA4 game for PC where you can make your own levels, it's pretty cool, and it's almost a perfect copy. It's made with a program called game maker, yoyogames . com

  • whats the song name for the first level ?

    sounds really good

  • I hope you guys all noticed that those pink countdown blocks are from SMB Deluxe's Link Cable Vs. Mode, right? =P

  • @LuigiMario404 You mean those flippy blocks that went solid / not solid? I think there were spikes like that too...

  • @copyRIGHThunter Those exactly! And yes, there were spike blocks too...Maybe Nintendo was planning on putting a 2-Player mode in?

  • Hey guys, I'll have a new level ready by the end of the day!

It'll be a continuation of my Dreamcourse 1.

  • That's great! Even tough the graphics of the blocks get glitchy, but that's a great advance so far. I wonder if there is a way to add ExGFX, but anyways, this is going great

  • The sticky block graphics do not glitch.

What causes the glitchy looking blocks is, that I've forgotten to remove the ground when placing those sticky blocks there.

You can't see it, but the blocks are actually placed "inside" the ground.

Placing two things at the same place will usually cause glitches.

  • I didn't bother fixing this, because it's just a minor problem and this was purely a test level anyways...

  • This is an awesome level! Are you going to find more unused stuff?

  • Sure thing!

The more levels I create, the more I'm improving my skills, so expect my upcoming levels to be even better than this one! ;)

  • Alright, but, as far as i know normally when you place FG over FG it just replaces it, you don't really over lay it in game, at least that how it works with SMW, but i think you don't like SMW and that, probably that logic doesn't work with this Game

  • Seriously, what crazy idea made you think I'd not like SMW!?

How could anyone dislike that game...

Anyways, from my experimenting so far it looks, like SMA4 handles stuff somewhat differently from SMW or SMA2, whatever.

This game is build upon the SMB3 engine, which dates back to NES times after all...

  • In this game, if you place an object over another object it'll glitch up, either graphically, or sometimes it even transforms into another object!

No joke, I've once tried to place brick blocks over cloud platforms and they turned into SMW style goal signs...

  • Wow, seriously? Well, i guess you got to be sure that you don't place things over things then or at least don't put blocks that have special properties over normal blocks.

And i tough that because, copyRIGHThunter hates SMW engine so i just tough that you also hated too.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, but it shouldn't be that hard to prevent such glitches.

If a SMA4 editor will come into existence it probably won't allow overlapping of blocks anyways...

By the way, it has always been a hard decision between SMW and SMB3. I can't say for sure, which one I like better.

I didn't want to hack SMW, because hundreds of people did so before me, and they did it better, than I ever could...

  • A SMW hack can have all the ASM and custom stuff than any hack can ever had but, it is fun? Will people enjoy it? I don't think so. That's what i am aiming to but anyways.

SMB3 it's way too hard than SMW, but it's more cause the engine, if you play SMB3 with SMW engine it will be more easier (Like the hack of SMB3 X, have smb3 levels and those are easy with the SMW engine) And i am not saying that SMW is better, i am more used to it.

But when the SMB3 editor comes out, i will work on a hack.

  • And since it's a different hack, I'll play it!

  • Lol, that's why I used to play SMW much more when I was a kid. Because it was much easier...

But by now my platforming skills have improved so much, that I love SMB3 for the very reason of how challenging it is. ^^

  • copyRIGHThunter hates SMW engine?

    He said this?

  • He said that he doesn't like the engine and he prefers SMB3 engine, He said something like that on the forum

  • It's be also cool if someone could build an in game switch for the colored switches.

  • Thats an intersting and cool object

  • Me: ^____^

Totally awesome! :D The Silver P-Switch from SMW works as expected, and the new "Sticky Blocks" are great!

  • So many possibilities....this would be the ultimate mario hacking utility. Why are more hackers not on board with this already?

  • Yeah, i hope, we get soon an editor :D
