There's a huge error here: "Greek" Orthodoxy is separate from race; indeed, I'm Greek Orthodox (i.e., I attend a Greek Orthodox church) although I have no Greek background whatsoever. I mean, all is well if you want to teach kids about the religion of their "ancestors" or whatnot, but the "Greek" part of the "Greek Orthodox Church" only refers to jurisdiction. There is nothing in Orthodox doctrine about how one "race" is part of one "national" church.

First, I am Greek Orthodox. My papou was from Cyprus and I was baptized and christened in the Greek Cathedral. Second off, do not tell me I do not know much about the Greek religion, because no we do not worship Mary, we respect Mary. That is why when we do our Holy trinity cross from right to left, not left to right like the Catholics, we kiss her on the head on the icon, not the feet like we do for Jesus. You guys actually broke off from Orthodoxy, reason why I did not say Greek Orthodox is because all Orthodox preaches the same. I am Greek Orthodox, and we still follow the word of the apostle and Orthodox means "right teaching". Unlike you, we don't follow the Pope to make new rules for our religion, we are traditional with what we believe and we show respect to Mary, but not worship her, we only worship Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Now the Benzyntine Catholics are more like us, traditional.

That's true, the Jewish religion today still uses incense at the end of every Shabat. I think it's really fascinating to study other religions and see which traditions and symbolism is held on to in their worship services today!

Greek Orthodoxy is a direct sucession of the Jewish Religion . It also its the OLDEST expression of Chrisianity. Truth is, the use of incense started with the Hebrews but like many traditions they started they no longer practice. The Hebrews started the Hadj as another example. The Hebrews used to have priests but no longer. The Hebrew women first used the Hijab. It sounds crazy at first but it's true.

I don't belong to the Greek Orthodox Church, so I can't officially answer that question with certainty. While I was on the tour the leader of their church told us about some of their doctrine which sounded similar to Catholic dogma.
